Lenovo twist with monitor 4K

I would buy a 4 K display to use with my Lenovo Twist, but I don't know if it will work at full resolution with my key from Lenovo. In theory, according to the specifications, it shouldn't, but I keep my hopes up.

I was wondering if another user already tried and the result.

Thanks in advance,

Esteban

Nice day.

Looking at the specs in the PSREF: http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/lttcwbook.pdf

Intel HD Graphics 4000 in processor,
supports an external digital monitor via HDMI Mini and Mini DisplayPort;
supports two independent screens;
Maximum external resolution: 2560 x 1600 (Mini DisplayPort) @60 Hz;
1920 x 1200 (Mini HDMI) @60 Hz

seems the best you can get with the graphics card integrated is WQXGA through CDM.

Hope this helps to clarify.

Kind regards.

This appears in the icons in the Notification area under a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. I tried running the Lenovo system update and updated everything in there, but I still get the same message. Someone else knows it?

  • can Apple Watch connect with monitor polar heart

can Apple Watch connect with monitor polar heart?

    Hello

If you are referring to the H7 polar, then Yes, we can.

Firstly turn off pairing the monitor from other devices which he may previously have paired with (for example your iPhone), then:

    • Wear the polar H7 (which lights up by being broken to the strap and rotates when detached).
    • On Apple Watch, go to settings > Bluetooth.
    • Wait that Polar H7 appears, then press it.

  • HP dv5 does not start with monitor plugged

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv5 1130ea. I have an external monitor that I use as a second screen. However, this week yet he refuses to start when I plug in the monitor, it keeps cycling of the boot sequence prior (I don't get the option to press ESC to see a menu). If I plug it after it is initialized in this will work, but it will not correctly identify the monitor and I can't make it work with the correct screen resolution.

Since these two problems are associated with monitor and appeared at the same time, I assume that they are related.

I am running Windows 7, but since it won't even be the bios (or what is called the replacement of HP) I don't know it's relevance.

    Thank you

    David

OK, solved the problem, it was not the laptop, it is the monitor.

  • Computer laptop Lenovo T400 (with XP) can't read some DVDs (for example ToyStory3)

I have a Lenovo T400 (with XP as an operating system). I just rent a DVD ToyStory3 of Redbox. My laptop can not recognize DVD (dvd turned and continues to try to read, but it never succeeded). I put the DVD in another laptop (Dell Inspiron 15, with a Windows 7 operating system), and it works very well. I never had any problem to play a DVD on the Lenovo T400 (and he can still play DVDs like cars). Any suggestions?

  • Dell Inspiron 3647 with monitor Samsung

The Samsung S27D390H monitor does not seem to get along with my new Dell Inspiron 3647 system, bought at the same time for the system.

Sometimes, the screen is black and will not respond when I turn it on.  Dell said that not all monitors are compatible with their systems, if they would not comment specifically on this monitor.  Together, they said is why not to buy a Dell monitor.

It could be a 10 Windows sleep problem or a problem of monitor or computer hardware.  Dell tells me about the monitor because it is not a Dell monitor. Microsoft won't talk about the problems of sleep with Windows 10 because I bought the system from Dell with Windows 10 on it so Microsoft says that I must deal with Dell. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Dell, struggling to understand the accent of the person I was talking about. It was exhausting and frustrating but no help. I'd stick rather pins in my eyes!

So we plugged the monitor into a power strip and turn off the power strip. So far that has worked, but the problem is intermittent, then it will be some time before we are confident.

Reference verified Dell Bios version.  All standby/hibernation settings have been checked and turned off by Dell.  Not sure about sleep of the BIOS.  Don't know what your last question.

Been another incident.  Off the monitor with monitor power switch.  Half an hour later turn on monitor power switch.  Black screen.  Waving the mouse.  Typical exhaust.  Hit Ctrl Alt Delete.  Nothing.  Turn off the power strip and he turned his back.  Picture came back on the monitor.  And it showed on the screen Ctrl Alt Del orange asking what I wanted to do.

But really, I'm fine with the solution of power strip.  It's simple and it works.

    Thank you all

  • Lenovo T560 with an external monitor 2560 x 1080

I just got a new T560 with Intel graphics HD520 and a 40A20170US docking station. When you try to use my 25UM LG monitor (which has a native resolution of 2560 x 1080), this resolution is not listed in the drop box available in the settings of Windows resolutions. I tried a dual link DVI cable and a DVI - DP cable from the dock and a mini-DP-HDMI cable from the port of the laptop. I used the Intel HD graphics control panel to put in a custom resolution of the 2560x1080x60hz, but the utility gives an error "greater available bandwidth. 2560x1080x30hz is functional, but choppy and annoying and unacceptable, because I specifically asked Lenovo sales if this combination would support my monitor.

It is a clean installation of the company to win 10, with the latest video drivers and chipset installed.

Did I miss a tweak here?

Given the special format 21:9 for the external monitor LG25UM, think that genius suggests using DisplayPort to DisplayPort system or the dock to get supported by Lenovo 2560 x 1080 60 Hz.

DP is your best option because the graphics card Intel only has the ability to support the HDMI to 2560 x 1080 30 Hz when he can't stand not Dual channel DVI at all, so Lenovo does not support DVI 2560 x 1080 30 / 60 Hz.

  • How to set up two monitors on Lenovo T420 with docking station.

I have a T420 on a docking station (cradle ThinkPad series 3, #4333710U)- and two monitors (each aprox 24 ").  I tried several variations using the NVIDIA display as well as the native Windows Display Manager (7) and am unable to render images on the two external displays.  Can someone please help?

    Hi John,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Forum of the Microsoft community.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to determine the root cause of the problem.

    1. Did you do last changes made on your computer before this problem?

    2. Have you tried to monitor primary as secondary and vice versa?

    3. All device drivers are updated?

After reading your post, I understand that you want to use two monitors with extended view, then you can try the steps in the following Microsoft article and see if it helps.

    Move windows between multiple monitors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/move-Windows-between-multiple-monitors#1TC=Windows-7

If the problem persists, then pass to the below mentioned method and see if it helps.

    Method 1

If you haven't tried Exchange monitors so I suggest you to try and see if the problem still occurs.

To change the settings of two monitors you can consult the links below:

Change settings display on multiple monitors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-display-settings-on-multiple-monitors

Note: This link is also applicable for Windows 7 .

    Method 2

If the problem persists I suggest you to update the display drivers. As the display drivers for two monitors are not the same, so try to update and check the status.

  • Twist - Two monitors-> no metro

I got this job once, but it no longer works and I'm all out of ideas.

When I'm at my desk, I connect my Twist to two 24 "1920 x 1200 monitors. I open the screen 180 degrees and use the integrated keyboard and an external mouse. One of the reasons why I bought the twist is that she has two digital video ports (as opposed to a digital and a fuzzy VGA). I bought two cables Monoprice cheap (mini-displayport to displayport-full) and mini-hdmi to hdmi-full.

The first time I put under tension, both monitors configured correctly for the extended desktop. But the metro has not begun. When I moved the mouse to the lower left corner, the starting rectangle does not appear. When I type Win - C, charms bar did not appear. Other than that, the machine worked fine. It was just like Windows 7 except without a start button.

Then I installed the classic Start Menu and got the Start button. Classic Start menu is able to start Metro applications. When I tried to do this, for example with the games app, an error message appeared in a strip in the middle of the screen saying "this application cannot open. The screen resolution is too low for the games to run. "The screen resolution you change."

Then after installing several updates from Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel (for the HD 4000 driver), Metro as magically started working.

But I have unplugged, Metro stop, rebooted, and now no longer appears.

I think that what happens is that Metro think the screen resolution is set to 0 x 0 pixels pixels because the built-in display is disabled. Earlier, when I got to work, I have somehow forced Metro use the resolution of 1920 x 1200 of one of the external monitors. I tried to replicate what I did, but I couldn't.

I tried to change monitors via the usual methods: display-> graphics-> Output To screen, resolution and F7 project to a connected screen.

I also tried to change the display in the bios (built-in, hdmi, displayport) start.

I also tried to use Win-PageUp and PageDown-Win to change the metro starts on.

I have the latest updates from Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel.

Classic Start menu has nothing to do with this problem. The problem that happened before I installed it, happened after I installed it and still occurs after that I uninstalled it.

If I run an external monitor the integrated screen, work of subway and opens on each screen function which is main (defined with Win-PageUp or in the display resolution). Metro stations works when the two external monitors are running.

I tried every combination I can think but can't go back to where I was.

    Any ideas?

I don't know who made the change (Microsoft, Lenovo, Intel, or anyone else), but this problem has been fixed.

  • IdeaCentre K450 'no signal' with monitors (VGA and HDMI)

I bought a K450 (of Jack online of lenovo, handed to nine) in December. I have an Acer H226HQL 21.5 "monitor at the same time and put in place all at once. I used the VGA cable to connect the monitor. Everything worked perfectly until a few weeks ago. I went to wake the computer and the screen remains black. I pressed the power button to turn off completely and turn it on again, 'no signal' stil on the monitor. I tried to use the HDMI cable with the acer and the old monitor of 8 years of my last office (with VGA cable) and still no signal. Checked the power strip, it works fine. I am at a loss!

I ran updates on firmware for everything, including the graphics, when I put the computer. I would check on the firmware for the graphics card, but it is difficult to without a working screen. In addition, do not know if this is relevant at all, but it was running windows 8.1.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

    Thank you!!

In fact, I realized there are TWO VGA ports in the case of the computer and
plugged into another one and it worked. Oops. No idea why HDMI cables
did not work, however. I hope that you are able to get your problem solved!

  • 10.11.3 - cannot start iMac with monitor external thunderbolt

Updated 10.11.3 yesterday evening.  New problem I've ever seen.

iMac (late 2015 version, with 27 "screen Retina 5 K, Core I6, SSD, Radeon R9, 16 GB of memory).

connects via a thunderbolt cable to

Apple 27 "monitor Thunderbolt, model A1407

(so I see two screens 27 ", side by side)

System does not boot under 10.11.3.

Boot process goes through the white Apple, then the line under the Apple gets almost half way through

At that time, an arrow cursor appears on the screen of your iMac.

A second more later, arrow cursor appears on the screen external thunderbolt.

And then the system hangs.  Nothing changes.

However, if I physically pull the Thunderbolt, the iMac starts correctly.  The boot process works as it should.

In this case, * after * I connect, I can connect the thunderbolt and the external monitor works properly.

However, if the system is then reset, either by choosing the restart, or due to a failure, then the boot process hangs.

    I have:

    (1) used Safe Boot (shift - restart).

The two screens can be mounted properly.  A lot of horizontal scroll around (to test screens?); Subsequently, the system works correctly.

However, after starting secure, I try to restart normally with the external screen, the boot process hangs again.

    (2) reset the NVRAM.  No effect.

    (3) reset SMC, controller of system management (by removing power for 30 seconds).  No effect.

    Suggestions?  Ideas?

    Hey there buddy.

I'm with you on this one...
Exactly the same problem I am experiencing and before anyone posts macro stuff that we all read, I'm just saying I'm sure that 90% of us have already made the NVRAM reset, reset the SCM and so on...

My MacBook Pro works perfectly one day and the next day I get this * updated... external monitor no longer works with my HDMI.

I'm sure that some of the support will suggest for us to watch a few pages "Troubleshooting" and suggests that our cables are broken or our monitors surprisingly stopped working after this magic update...

Another favorite of mine suggestion is for us to go there and buy the cable HDMI $99 is made by apple...

I'm * offshore, that an update can cause so much hassle and worst of all, wasting my time by reading more than a dozen pages of dumb suggestions...

@APPLE, you will find the * bugs and solve this problem, it is simply unacceptable. An update of shit limits my use of the laptop... What's next?

  • Lenovo G500 with SSD and HDD in ODD Bay

    Hello!

So I have a laptop Lenovo G500 aged for 1 year with a processor i5 to 3230M, now an 8 GB (originally, it was 4 GB) of RAM and a 1 TB HARD drive. I recently bought a 250 GB Samsung SSD 840 Evo and a disk HARD caddy from here: http://hddcaddy.com/en/lenovo-ibm-hdd-caddy/646-lenovo-g500-hdd-caddy.html

So I removed the HARD drive, put the SSD in its place, removed the STRANGE and put the HARD drive in its place. It was all nice and comforting, but that in some points the HARD drive was not seen by the system as if it was disconnected or something. This happens usually when the laptop was running, if I rebooted everything worked. I remember that in the past, I don't know, maybe in the last 4 months, I used my ODD twice and neither time was it works well.

So my question is: can it be that my ODD SATA port is faulty, or does this problem occur because this whole switch-and-swap operation is not supported by my laptop? If this is the first I can replace this SATA port?

    Hello!

Thanks for the reply. I just did an update of the bios, so far everything seems to work well, it still took some time (a few hours) unitill the problem occurred.

If the problem persists I'll try the fix from microsoft that you sent, but with the 2nd solution, there is the problem that I need to reboot the system to get the bios, but so far after a reboot my laptop has always recognized the HARD drive.
