  • LifeCam Cinema installs on Windows 7 64 bit - "the unit must be plugged.

    Separated from this thread.

    Hello

Yes, I got the latest version of the software. I also tried all the sugested fixes in the file as sugested elsewhere on this forum and help. It's weird the sound works but not the video. I should add that this is the second lifecam that I had this problem with that I sent the first back that I thought it was faulty.

It worked before, so no real don't problem with 64.bit Win 7, but all of a sudden whenever I try to enter in the software of the camera, told me that "the unit must be plugged. IT IS PLUGGED IN! When I disconnect it, the typical sound occurs, even when I plug it in again. How can I eliminate this annoying problem and even more boring message that opens?

I downloaded the latest driver, all of the software, but I said always that I already have the most recent and on my PC. Can someone help me out here?

    Hello

I understand that you can not use Microsoft Live cam application on Windows 7.

This could be caused due to the following reasons:

    Application of corrupt.

We suggest that you to uninstall all traces of this Webcam Live software and then try to install the application.

To uninstall a program with traces see link below:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/kb/290301?WA=wsignin1.0

Once the program is uninstalled with tracks, try to reinstall the application and check if it helps.

  • LifeCam HD-5001 will not install

I have similar problems as the others.  I installed my webcam 5001 and Lifecam software.  Halfway through, I told plug in the camera.  After I did Windows recognizes the new hardware and continued to install the drivers.  LifeCam completed installation.  Then a window pops up saying that the pilots could not be installed because the required line was not found in the INF file.  When I opened Lifecam it says there is no camera connected.  When using Skype or Messenger seeing Live to power the cams would come on but no picture.  After several attempts to install different, still the same problem.  I uninstalled Lifecam.  When I went to Skype then I got the video.  The microphone does not work well.  Same thing on Live Messenger.  I went to the Device Manager and found the webcam listed in 2 places.  A location was in imaging devices.  When I open it says the cam was working properly... all the drivers installed.  The other location has something not normally.  It's other devices.  The cam is listed there and that's where it says that it does not.  I tried to remove the cam, turn it off but it is not serious, the Lifecam software never accesses the camera and other services prevents access.  Any ideas would be useful.  I downloaded the latest version of the Lifecam software and firmware updates with the same results.  In the error window that says: "the required line is not found in the INF" there is a "speaker" icon.  Not sure if this is indicating a specific or no problem.  I have a gateway computer, do not know what brand motherboard.  It has no built-in sound and video.  The processor is an AMD quad core 9100 rated 1.8 GHz.

I gave up the webcam.  It'll probably work whenevwer I update to Windows 7.  Thanks for the help.  Sorry, we couldn't find a solution.

    Hello

    ·         Have you been able to use the cam of life on the system before?

    ·         Where you installed the software and the drivers from?

    ·         Do you have an error message when you try to run the software?

If you try to install the drivers on the CD/DVD and then, I would you suggest to uninstall the drivers and the software that is present on the system and then download the drivers and software on the Microsoft site and then install on the system and check if the problem is solved or not.

  • Installation of the Firmware of the LifeCam Cinema

    Greetings,

So, I need to install the update of firmware for about 500 webcams, y at - it a quick way to do this?

The CinemaFW1033_3.20.exe seems to force me to plug the webcam before the race, but I wonder if the .exe can install the firmware for all cameras connected at the same time for faster installation.

Also, where can I check the Firmware version of the webcam? I never install the supplied software and I can not find the FW Version in the Device Manager.

In addition, the firmware is inside the cam or installed on the local disk? And, is it possible to restore the default firmware afterwards?

    Thank you

    Hi Tim Keung HK,.

Please see the link below where updates of the firmware should normally be downloaded from:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/LifeCam/CinemaFW/en-us/default.mspx

"You must have your entire camera LifeCam Cinema plugged into the USB port for the update process."

    Hello

I recently bought the lifecam vx-2000.

have been up all night trying to download the software, but he says he has an "unexpected error" and will not continue to install.

I followed all possible solutions on the Microsoft Support site, but nothing has worked.

I also tried to follow the advice on this site to go to the folder "driver 64' in the CDROM, click VX2000." the problem is there is no VX2000, only VX1000, VX3000 & VX6000.                                                                                                                                                Can anyone help as I have now run out of ideas.
