Location of printer driver

I am currently looking for several HP printers. However, all printers have windows update for driver search. I do not want to do because I'm deployment of a print server that will have drivers for Windows xp 32 and 64 bit, windows 7 32 and 64 bit windows 8.1 64-bit windows 2003 and 2012 R2 64-bit, of course. Update Windows drivers do not work for this situation. Can someone point me to a place where I can get drivers separated by hand?

Hello

Try the following steps, these steps will guide you to download Windows Update drivers from the Windows Update Catalog, which can be extracted and deployed on your print server that follows.

Be aware that you will need several packages for different printers and deiffrent operating systems, remember to follow the instructions in Microsoft article 323166 Knowledge Base to extract and install the drivers:

http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c02536257-20%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken#N10034

I tried several times to use the original installation disc, the latest version of the software driver hp Forum, etc. All with no luck. And now, of course, my host system is all messed up with installs partial. I know it works because I saw another W7 - 64 box to connect to the same XP machine via the network. I need measures to clean first the disorder of my current box then the steps to connect to the printer on the XP machine over the network. This is similar to a question last may, who seems to have been abandoned.

  • "Windows is unable to locate a suitable printer driver" Please HELP!

    Hello

I have a HP Color Laserjet 3800N physically installed on a computer in our headquarters (running Windows 7).  The computers are configured on a working group with shared files and printers.  And the printer works fine on this computer.  I'm trying network printer for a second printer in our working group, which works in Windows XP.

I go through the Add Printer Wizard and when I get to add the printer, I get the message "Windows cannot locate a printer driver appropriate...". »

I installed the driver for XP on the HP site and am not able to get the printer to add on the second computer.

    What is the solution?

    Thank you
    Maria

    Hi, Maria.

You must first check the ip address in the same network, then turn off the firewall in both systems, check the printer data sharing permissions...

    Thank you.

  • HP LaserJet 4100: Problem with the universal print driver

    Desktop: HP Envy 700-214

    OS: 10 64-bit Windows

Printer: HP LaserJet 4100 (with a USB to parallel cable)

I was able to properly use my LaserJet for Windows 8.1 through my Windows 10 crossing (which I upgraded to about 18 months ago).  Quite recently, I welcomed Windows Installer a upgrade, and at this time there, I lost my ability to print.   It has been on my default printer, but gave an error message when I tried to print.

I tried to "Add a printer" and selected the HP 4100 connected to the LPT1 port.  It would not print a test page, and the printer does not like in the reception of data.

I then tried to install the (PCL6 and Postscript) universal print driver with similar lack of results.

I tried uninstallinDeg and reinstall the drivers, but once again no joy.  Incidentally, although I'm going to Device Manager > printing queues and remove the drivers, when I set up an application like Word and select the Menu printing, many copies of drivers rest yet.  When I go to remove them using the printui/s/T2, it is said that they are currently in use and cannot be deleted.

Yet once again, I repeat - it is not a hardware problem because everything worked well before Windows upgrade.  I just need to find a way to reinstall a driver who will speak to my printer.  It of frustrating because I was able to do that before, but may not know what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello GaryLynn,

You saw did a lot of things to try to solve this issue.

However the USB to parallel isn't anHP officially supported connection type.

in any case, what suggests I´d, is that you try this:

    • Unplug the hybrid cable that you use
    • Uninstall all copies of the printer and its duplicates.
    • Stop the print spooler by using the services on windows (type on cortana services.msc) locate print spooler and stop it
    • Go to run and coil type, look at the Printers folder and delete all the files that are there (if any)
    • Restart the spooler to print services.
    • Download and install this driver package
      http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=FP-148007-1
    • Turn on your printer and connect the cable.

After this exercise, check to see if windows 10 has managed to find the best driver to use your printer.
If widows did not automatically find it, try the manual on add a Printer Wizard.

If not reading as LPT1, check ports either USB00 ' # ' or a port DOT4, those who should be the ports to use.

I hope this helps you get your printer going again.

    Thank you

  • HP Deskjet e3520: manually uninstall Print Driver

    Hi all!

I got myself in quite the situation when I tried to clean up some temporary files and save space on my rather small SSD.  As such, I accidentally deleted the uninstall program for my HP print driver and now I can not uninstall the software, nor I can install newer software.  The software is looking for a file, DJ352x64.msi, located at AppData\Local\Temp\7zS0DDA, but there is obviously no because, well, I deleted it.

So, any advice on how to manually uninstall my driver's license so I can get my drivers updated?

    Thank you!

If the problem persists, you can try the solution proposed in the thread below.

    (1) open the command prompt window by clicking on the Start > applications > Windows system > guest.

    Type: net stop spooler

    Enter: net start spooler
    Type: exit

    2) open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86

NOTE: any % is usually C:\Windows, but it might be "winnt" or something else; It is set when the OS is installed.  Most systems are like this C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86

    (3) in the w32x86 folder, there will be other folders and files.  Delete everything inside, but DO NOT remove the w32x86 folder.

    4) restart the computer - perform clean boot in Windows 10 / 8 / 7

  • How do you install the print driver FAX for m1536dnf in OS x Lion?

    Hi Forum,

I have a Laserjet M1536dnf all-in - one network. When I install the driver under OSX Snow Leopard and Ubuntu, I have two shows of printers in the preferences panel. Regular printer and printer-fax MACHINE, so I can print to fax directly.

But when I install the driver in OS x Lion, it shows only one printer, so I can't print to FAX directly. I checked the apple software update, there is no more than an update as well.

Someone knows how can I install the FAX printer driver in OS x Lion?

    Thank you

    Noodle

    Hello

Offer the product at a time print, scan and ability by retrieving the driver of the Apple software update.

If you have installed the full features software, remove it by running the uninstall HP program located under Applications > CEJA-Packard and be sure to remove the existing print queue.

Then Champagne for any update of HP software available.

If the recovery of the printer HP Software Update fails for any reason, install the bundle HP Printer Drivers 2.8 below.

Then the fax printer must be detected as well:

  • Printer driver Photosmart p1000 for windows 7

where can I get a driver for my Photosmart P1000 for Windows 7?

    Thank you

    Jack

I have correctly installed Photosmart P1000 with HP Desk Jet 970Cse driver to Windows 7 by following your steps (part I) and part II; steps, I found to suport-amlabels-for moving item not specified in the list of printers.

Note: When I used HP Desk Jet 990c (do not use) he connected the printer to the computer but would send paper without printing - DJ970Cse worked perfectly for me.

Here is the entire process part I, part II, part III.

Note in part II I was not able to find the right driver, because I wasn't able to do the update of windows from there.  There may be an easier way to do it, but it worked:

Part i:  (to turn on the windows update)

    1. go on devices and printers.

    2. click on add a printer.

    3. replace LPT1 port USB.

    4. click on windows update (to load the drivers more) - Once loaded - click on HP (Hewlett-Packard not stated), then clickDesk Jet 970Cse

    5. after the directions at the end (not alarmed that the test print does not work - this step is only for Windows Update to register for part II - later allows you to uninstall this printer useless).

    Part II

A problem that may be encountered during the installation of your printer of labels on the Windows 7 operating system is put in the list of devices not specified, even though you think that you have installed the drivers correctly.

Now to remove the unspecified list, please follow these quick steps:

    1. From the Windows taskbar, click the Windows, right click on computer icon, and then click Manage . The computer management window opens.
    2. Click Device Manager in the left pane of the computer management window under System Tools. A list of installed devices appears in the right pane of the computer management window.
    3. Right-click of your product in the list of other devices and then click Update driver software . Opens a dialog box to locate the driver software.
    4. Click Browse my computer for driver software .
    5. Click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer , and then click Next . The Add Printer Wizard opens.
    6. Under manufacturer , in the installation of the printer driver window, click on the manufacturer of your .
    7. Under Printers , select the driver replacement for the product (listed in the table in step to determine compatible driver appropriate ), and then click Next . Opens a window to update driver warning.
    8. Click Yes to continue the driver installation.
    9. Pull up a document to print, and then select HP Desk Jet 970 CSE (1 copy).  It should display the color and black.
    10. Go to part III delete the first printer installed.

Your device will now be fully assembled and ready to use.

If you need any other help or advice, please contact AM labels on 01536 414 222 01536 414 222 FREE end_of_the_skype_highlighting

    Part III

1 cancellation test print of the first installed printer HP Desk Jet 970 CSE

    2. Uninstall HP Desk Jet 970 CSEdo uninstall (1 copy)

3 (1 copy) will replace the printer uninstalled.

I hope you have success faster than I did - it took me two hours to finally combine those two processes and then I also had to restore my computer to a version prior to restart after installing HP 990 C JD.

  • error 0X800f0214 when you install the printer driver

When you install a printer driver (network), an error message appears saying that the action could not be completed - error 0X800f0214. The printer is shared and my firewall is set to off. I have absolutely no idea on what to do and would like to get advice and INFO.

    Marc DS,
It would be useful to have a bit more information, such as the make and model of the printer, what version of Vista you are running and what type of network - wired or wireless (or both), if there are other non-Vista on the network computers, etc.  You get the error message corresponds to "the specified path does not contain any applicable device INFs" which means basically the location where the OS is looking for the driver file does contain a valid driver file.  There could be several reasons for this, but without knowing the configuration of network and printer, it's hard to identify.  Make sure that the driver is one that is suitable for this printer model and your version of Vista and make sure that the path (c:\ - or other) is correct and that the location of the driver file is shared.  I hope this helps.  Please post back with more information if you still need help.

  • I want to remove/erase/print driver to Windows 7 and can't find any documentation.

New DELL Windows 7 computer (within 30 days) and want to remove persistent / printer driver.

Could not find any documentation on the issue, and neither DELL nor Microsoft are willing to provide any type of support, unless its paid for a product or service that is less than 30 days old.

OK, I found the solution to this problem... the info above is correct as it goes, but in my case, there was no option to erase the print on both printers 'ghost' queue because they were disconnected and (b) it has been shared on the network unavailable, so no option to the print queue was posted and had a printer assigned to TCP/IP port.

Here's how I did, step by step:

    1. right click on desktop, create a new shortcut with the target under 'cmd.exe '.
    2. right click on the shortcut, "Run as Administrator".
    3. run the tool printui: printui/s/T2
    4. try to remove printers. If this does not work...
    5. click on start > run > Services.msc
6 locate the print spooler service and right click > properties > stop him.
    7. open my computer and go to c:\Windows\System32\spool\Printers
(you will need to say 'oK' to access the file).
8 REMOVE the contents of this folder.
9 restart the print spooler service.
    10. go back into the printui utillity (might need to restart using the same method as above) and try to delete printers again. This time it should work. If necessary, see the "Ports" tab and delete all TCP/IP ports that are associated with the old printer.
11 Last but not least, I checked the other computers on my home network to see if any of these was located at the old printer and I removed these mappings, as the date of the spooling documents suggest it was printed in time once it has been deleted physically.
