M30 SP is not in standby mode.

I have a satellite pro m30 and already it is always passed in sleep mode if I leave it running on mains or battery. However, now he spends in sleep mode and then flips out and normal mode.

Even if I click Start and standby he still fails and returns to the screen.

can anyone help please as this is driving me around the bend.

Hello

Try to remove the Toshiba power options and try to install it again. In power options there are many parameters and some of can be set to turn off the HARD drive if there is no activity. Please try to reinstall this tool and check out all the available options.

    As far as I know the light glow orange or flashes while the battery is charging. If it of impossible to turn on the device while the battery is charging so in my opinion, there is something wrong with the electronic power to your laptop.

    In my view, a Toshiba Power Saver must be preinstalled and there you should be able to enable or disable the standby or hibernation mode.

  • PC does not go on standby mode

    Hello

    I have a strange problem with my Pavilion (Vista 64 bit): it just won't go/stay in stand-by mode.

    Whenever I go through start panel into position mode it seems to go through the process of orders-by only're - wake up' the very next second pressing strongly it's fans and check the dvd player (no matter if there is a CD-ROM/dvd-rom in it or not).

    Same thing happens whenever I'm away from the PC long enough for him to enter standby mode automatically. He tries to stand by again after a certain period of time without ever stay in stand-by.

    I had the problem since I bought the PC a few months - but having already had to return to the first person that I bought right away I didn't go through the hazzle and take the second return - once again.

    Thank you very much in advance for your help!

    Sorry for the late reply.

    The question that you mentioned usually caused if the network adapter is set to wake the computer from sleep. If you are usign an always on Internet connection then there will be a constant activity in the network card and it wakes you up the PC as soon as you put in mode 'sleep'.

    Please, check the following and verify that the settings are correct.

    -Press the Windows logo and the R button to open the control box run.

    -Type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK.

    -It will open up the Device Manager.

    -Click on + sign next to network card and right click on the name of the adapter listed.

    -Select properties, then click the power management tab.

    -If the option "Allow this device to wake up the PC" is checked, uncheck the box that and click Ok.

    Try to put the PC to sleep/wake and check if it is in "standby mode".

    I would like to know if the procedure worked. Give Kudos if it works.

    Does anyone have a suggestion/recommendation what to do about it?

    Thanks, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello JJLinker, welcome.

    The issue is likely caused by "Wake by " settings in your power options. This gives a shot:

    1. click on START
    2. right click "My computer" and select "Properties".
    "3. click on the tab"Hardware", then select Device Manager.
    4. expand the "Network adapters" category
    5. right click on each of the devices and select "Properties".
    6. on each, go to the tab "power management."
    7 turn off the checkbox "allow this device to wake...". ' and click on 'Ok '.
    8. close all windows and restart the computer

  • When the computer remains in standby mode it will not start normally, usually ok in safe mode, but even when its up and running normally it's extremely slow.

    Original title: searchfilterhost problems

    I am running Vista family 32-bit and when the computer is left in standby mode, that it does not start normally, usually ok in mode without failure, but even if his place and it works normally is extremely slow. Having verified the use of the processor, 82 processes running anything meaningful except 50 + % is used by searchfilterhost.exe, this would cause the problem and if so how it can be cured.

  • Tablespace Temp created primary not replicated to standby mode

    Hello

    I configured Oracle 9i data guard recently, while doing, that I was forced to restructure primary db since maxlog files was 5, so I used backup controlfile to trace and changed the maxlogfiles to 6 and then transported the remaining steps. While I was using the trace file and restructuring of the Db, I did not notice that I missed to add the temporary file and moving it in standby mode. Yest.Day once get a team request error, that I created a new tablespace temp and logs switch made, however this tablespace temp tempfile was not copied to the standby server. Does this cause anything serious or can I do now to copy it in standby? Only the manual copy with primary db shutdown or any other means?

    standby

    no selected line

    Use the commands below

    SQL > alter tablespace add tempfile ' D:\ORACLE\ORADATA\CTSOC\TEMPNEW01. DBF' size 31457280;

    If you take controlfile trace (or) metadata, you can see command DDL that too.

    Two points must be considered in when it comes to Archives of newspapers are not shipped to standby mode:

    1. it should be:
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2 = SERVICE = MARKTEST LGWR ASYNC
    VALID_FOR = (ONLINE_LOGFILES, PRIMARY_ROLE)

    2 are you able to conn sys/pwd@stby as sysdba, if yes, it means that there are no connectivity issues; If not, this is the reason that's why newspapers are not shipped to the backup site. It is due to number with password file or something with the name of the service. Just drop it and create a new/freshpassword with the same password for both primary and standby.

    3. check if your OS username part of the ORA_DBA group.

    This gives a test:

    1. click on START
    2. click on 'run '.
    3 type "notepad" (without the quotes) and press enter
    4. copy and paste this into Notepad:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usb]
    "USBBIOSHACKS" = DWORD: 00000000
    "USBBIOSx" = DWORD: 00000000

    5. click on file > save as
    6. change the dropdown to "all files".
    7 type usb.reg as the file name and save the file somewhere easy to access
    8 go find the file and double click it. Confirm that you want to add it to the registry
    9 restart the computer and see if you can wake the system from standby mode

  • Cannot restart; Function F8 does not work; stuck at "restart windows." Put in standby mode.

    Put the PC into standby mode.  Stuck in the status of "Recovery of Windows".  Impossible to restart.  Power off several times.  F8 doesn't work no more.

    I don't think that XP shows a message "Windows Recovery" when it comes out of Stand By.

    It does when it's Hibernation.

    If you've been cycling power, you can have damaged your system files a bit and should probably start by running a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.
