  Do you search rules necessary on the RESUME calls to ip address?

  If you MCU is VCS registry all call req will go to the VCS control and vcs decided where to make calls. Let me tell you want to call a unit on the internet using the ip address.

  MCU sends req call vcs, and then vcs needs a search rule where he should deliver this ip address. by default on the CV "called to unknown ip" is indirect and so you need to add a search rule VCS-control as "any" target "any ip address" would be the crossing area.

  by calls VCS - E unnknown ip are set to 'direct' by default if you don't need all the rules of research. If the firewall settings are clean, then call get settle.

• When you use unified folders, the high-level junk folder indicates a number of 350, although there may be no spam in any of the accounts. How can I erase this number?

  I went through all the settings. I deleted and recreated the e-mail accounts. I have restarted Thunderbird. I rebooted the macbook. Disabled all plugins and Add-ons. Nothing gets rid of this false charge. This is what it looks like (sorta):

  You can try to rebuild the Junk folder: select Help/Troubleshooting Information, show the folder to open the profile folder in Explorer, TB of output, look for the files Junk and Junk.msf (mbox file) and index file, rename them or move them out of the profile folder, restart TB and see if a junk clean folder is created after you mark the first message as spam :

  I'm trying to set up a presentation very customized using 5320 MCU which is managed remotely by the conductor.

  Current configuration:

  1.) create Conference in TMS

  Available assigned custom number 2.) in the model of the Conference in the conductor.

  3.) layout changes every time Conference is created in TMS and propagated in the MCU.

  Is there, far from creating this type of disposal of the conference without creating a static Conference meeting in the microcontroller.

  Conductor cannot use the default layouts on the MCU, necessary custom presentations have to be modified on a basis by the Conference on the MCU, or use a static conference where the layout is already customized.  Refer to the section 'Customize page layout views' in the MCU 5300 Help Guide online.

• How do the only legitimate of course people get in conference using SX20

  Customer-(I) scenario : customer has the SX20 is registered with CUCM9.x, there is no TP server and no TMS for the planned conference.

  I understand the notion of security conferences, but it would be between the endpoint and server-UC Application:

  1. Security conferences are a way to use the regular Conference to ensure that media for the Conference are secure and cannot be compromised. There are different levels of security a conference may have, as authenticated or encrypted.
  2. Security conferences, devices, and conference resources can be authenticated as secure devices and Media Conference then can be encrypted so that each authenticated participant sends and receives encrypted for this conference media.

  However, as to understand if it is possible at the level of the user as well in asking the user to enter login credentials to enter the Conference call.

  Note, this is not a regular conf call scenario. Its a typical conf Rendezvous:

  Query1: Is there a provision where if someone connects SX20 from the internet (outside of the corporate network), to ensure that legitimate people can enter MultiSite Conference (3 + 1), calling the Party (which connects SX20) must enter the credentials (username & password) for authentication?

  Query2: If the query 1 is not possible using Rendezvous conf, then is is it possible using annex Conference with TP and TMS server or simply by using the server TP?

  Hi sumit,

  You description of the problem, I think that you need protection by PIN to join the videoconference.

  It is possible with the external MCU, but not with SX 20 in bed MCU.

• MCU security problem? Automatic creation of conference.

  I encountered a problem which I have not noticed before.

  I was sent a MCU 4501 - v4.5 (1.45) - Note problem also exists in v4.4

  H.323 prefix: 89

  On the MCU I configured the creation of auto attendant and the disabled and access to ad hoc conferences with the digital ID: 8900

  When you make a H.323 call for 8900 (or 898900) you go to the auto attendant as expected.

  When you make a H.323 now call 89 MCU requires a security PIN and creates a new conference, even if no PIN is entered...

  Not exactly what I expect.

  To resolve this, you must create a new auto attendant and give him the digital id prefix: 89;

  When doing a call to 89 you find in the auto attendant and cannot enter an id existing conference.

  Further testing shows the same behavior that if you dial a number with the prefix, 89, e.g. 891234, in this case the MCU create again an ad-hoc conference which is not really what I want.

  How can I solve this problem?

  Hi Geert-

  Can you tell us what you have calls of " ""entering the unknown conferences or auto attendants" " " value in the settings > conferences?

  Looks like you have set up to "Create new ad hoc conference", which will give you the results you see when someone made up in the MCU by using the prefix and anything after that is not either the Conference Officer or active auto.

  Try to change to 'Default auto Standard' and see what happens.

  Well, when I created this topology I considered not how the environment would work when planning conferences, with TMS and conductor because this client has yet to TMS. Then, I was just shocked when I opened the TMS deployment guide e conductor and find the following statement:

  Note: The exposed conductor TelePresence conference type is not supported in Cisco TMS. Only models conference using the conference meeting type are supported.

  Agreed! The driver of the telepresence really is a great product.

  Why do we have this limitation?

  Because the feature was never implemented on the side TMS. It was decided that the other characteristics are more important and should be a priority. There is nothing on the type of conference 'Read' which is inherently incompatible with the TMS, but work needs to be done first.

  Examples:

  • The control of conference centre: you will probably see the entries in double Conference if you are using a 'read' conference
  • TMS does not differentiate between the presidents and guests during the creation of scheduled conferences 'Conference' on the conductor.

  None of them are very difficult to solve from a development point of view, but they are not trivial to apply or test either.

  Does Cisco have plans to fix that?
  

  Nothing specific is planned, don't. As always: if it is a problem to your customer, make a request to feature through your account manager or another Cisco point of contact.

  The guide is related to Conductor XC1-2 and TMS 14-1, has any thing been changed  in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?
  

  Conductor XC 2.1 and TMS 14.2.2 is a combination not supported, but nothing has been changed to

  2.2 XC and 14.3 TMS: types of conference 'Read' are not yet supported.

• How to educate the MCU conferences hosted on another MCU

  We have the MSE 8510 and MSE 8710 MCU. The auto attendant is configured on the MCU 8510.

  The Conference is organized on the MCU 8710, external participants connect to AA cannot join the same Conference because the 8510 MCU is not abreast of conferences hosted on a different MCU.

  How can we get the MCU 8510 abreast of conferences organized on the MCU 8710?

  It is not possible to link the two conference bridges.  You mention that when external participants dial in the auto attendant 8710, the 8710 doesn't have an auto attendant.  Why not have dial and then directly to the Conference on the 8710?

  If you use TMS with driver, you'd make all your changes Conference there and not directly on the MCU.  While you can make the changes on the MCU, if using TMS just be careful because TMS could see the MCU that do one thing while you make changes manually.  That said, you can make changes on the MCU, nothing wrong with that, actually make us ourselves on some occasions where we need, simply because of where we are or what device we use, because TMS is not compatible with everything, because it uses Java, IE a mobile device if it is what I happen to have on hand instead of a laptop.

  There is a question that I know with TMS and layouts of conductor (see but CSCuq62737) is that you can change the layout on a basis of individual endpoints and it works fine, however if you try and wide Conference on change page layouts, only currently works for new members added to the Conference.

  Regarding the quality of service, I'm not quite sure, I think it would be considered data, because the presentation is really just another video channel.

  You want to know why MCU works this way? It's simple, because this single behavior that makes sense to the concept of "reserve". Consider the following example:

  You have scheduled a conference in MCU for tomorrow morning at 10:00. You have a MCU 4510 with 20 available HD ports and selected 18 participants in this conference in particular, and you use reserve port, which means you want MCU to make sure that these ports are available to host this conference. Right. Then in the morning, just before the scheduled conference start, some users start an ad-hoc multipoint meeting using multiway and down 4 video ports of your MCU. Then, when the scheduled conference start, MCU will ports available to host your regular conference, once your users use the resources for purposes of adhoc.

  Do you see? Port reservation is a concept where MCU is to ensure that you will have the resources available to the conference in particular, therefore, the only way to achieve this is by totally disabling chartering conferences (ad hoc conferences), so that the MCU will be able to control the entire session and know when its resources will be available or not, either by using MCU to plan or TMS.

  In other words, if MCU allowed you to create conferences whenever you want via adhoc, then the concept of reservation is completely broken, you wouldn't have no guarantee that your resources are really reserved.

  Therefore, if you have need to be scheduled and ad hoc conferences happening in the same MCU, disable a reservation and manually control your availability of resources. If you must make a reservation from port and at time same adhoc conferences, it is not possible except by placing an other MCU in your environment, you will so use an MCU to scheduling with reserve and another for ad hoc conferences.

• Conference softkey on the endpoints of TC

  I recorded a few end of TC to the CUCM points. I also have a MCU5320 as a conference bridge in the media of the CUCM resource group. I can do ad hoc conferences with ip using the sofkeys Conference phones. But in the endpoints of TC, I only see the Conference softkey. Is it possible to create ad hoc conferences of TC on the CUCM endpoints? If so, how? If not, tehere is a plan for this feature?

  Hi Marc. What type of TC registering endpoints? I know once TE 6 is out for EX, you will be able to use the touch screen to use the MCU to merge or to create a conference on the MCU. The cop.sgn file will add extra field in CUCM configuration use UCM resource or resources internal to merge the units. I'm not sure about TC6, but I know TE 6 for systems EX will have this ability. Release date is soon. If all goes well before the ebd of the year, but I can't say with certainty that his subjects to change.

  Can someone confirm how the CTC works with TMS regarding the control and booking resources? There are also some questions long to answer...

  From my experience, after you have created a conference TMS is communicating to the CTC.  CTC verifies resources (log messages: "device.query";) "participant.enumerate") and reserves (all the time: since the moment of creation until the Conference ends). This period reservation comes from problems we have with the planning of future conferences (not all logs or statistical).

  Is it possible to control the resources reserved on the CTC? How to enable the CTC to oversubscribe? How do resources reserve TMS - CTC ONLY for the period of time conference planned and not to the creation period time up to the end of the Conference?

  I read in the documentation, that if the MCU is dedicated only for the scheduled conferences, then resources are reserved ONLY for a regular conference time (no this time, it was created). If anyone can confirm?

  How to divide microcontrollers for a group of 3 MCU for scheduled conferences and one for Ad-hoc?

  Without specifying ports content dedicated to the conductor, when a content port is used at a conference, conductor will see that as a video port use when the MCU actually uses a dedicated content port.
