My setup is

Hi Cbx_ibson_junior,

What is the number and the model of the computer?

This problem may occur because of driver problem or due to incorrect settings.

Method 1:
I suggest you install the latest audio driver on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you Microphone as default device and check if it helps.

a. go to Start and click on Control Panel.
b. click on her, then a new window will open.
(c) in the new window click on the tab "recording" and right click in the window and click Show disabled devices.
d. now check if the Microphone is listed here and right click above and choose Activate.
e. highlight this Microphone and click "set as default".

Hope this information helps. If you need additional help or information on Windows, I'll be happy to help you. We, at tender Microsoft to excellence.

  • Tecra Z50-A-181-built in microphone not working/not found

    Hello!

I recently bought for laptop Toshiba Tecra Z50-A-181 supplied with Windows 7 64 bit (have 8.1, too but never installed it).

Anyway, once I started using it, I discovered that the microphone is not functional or not recognized at all.
So, what happens is that, once that I plug my headphones into the audio handset Jack / micro, whoever I'm talking (on Skype, for example) to stop to hear me (and my camera is on).

I tried several things mentioned in other topics, however, the problem does not turn off. In addition, there is no driver for the camera or the bed at the microphone, or whatever.

In Device Manager there is no extra, unrecognized device and in sound recording options /, no other microphone to use appears.

I will appreciate if someone can help.
    Thank you in advance!

You have a problem using an external microphone?
Your laptop is preinstalled with original image of recovery for all the necessary drivers must be installed.

You can use internal mic? It should be listed under recording devices.

  • External microphone not detected and faulty internal mic on Satellite Pro U400

I have had several headphones with microphone and taken headphones 3.5 and the laptop just will not detect them. I tried to disable the internal sound system, or just the MIC internal, but not luck.

The internal MIC is a (stronger if the external microphone is plugged) whirring background noise which means I can't use it for work.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Which is really strange.
Are you using the original recovery image Toshiba and Toshiba driver sound?

U400 is older model laptop and I would like to know since when you have this problem.

  • HP 355 G2: Camera and Microphone not recognized on laptop HP 355 G2 (JOY62EA #ABU)

I bought this laptop on 13 August 2015, but I managed to fix my Samsung laptop & kept the HP in its unused box as a spare.

I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 before July 29 but before I did I checked the laptop to make sure that everything worked and now I find that the webcam internal or the internal microphone works.

In Device Manager it is not an audio inputs and outputs, nor is there an entry for Imaging devices & YouCam5 says also that there is no webcam connected.

Video controllers & audio game it shows

    AMD High definition Audio Device

    CyberLink WebCam driver virtual

    Realteck Audio Definition High

All three are displayed as smoothly and drivers are shown as being up-to-date.

After trying many fixes, I came to the conclusion that it is a hardware failure, unless anyone knows differently.

If I upgraded to Windows 10 & then send it to repair will be HP accept for repair because I can't turn round before July 29.

P.S. The laptop is in his out-of-the-box factory status not being hit & no added software.

Any suggestion will be welcome, thank you for reading my post.

Create your recovery for existing installation media.

If you can get the system to migrate to Windows 10, the "digital license" for Windows 10 will be registered for you by Microsoft.

You can, if you wish, to migrate to Windows 10 and then use the "Back" feature to "undo" migration.  Your digital license is still in 'security' when you are migrating (yet) at a later date.  If you "turn" the computer will return to its original Operating Sytem - no worries for repair.

You can install Windows 10 later with the following caveats:

If the motherboard is replaced, it is likely to be a problem with activation - motherboard is part of Microsoft digital key management.  This does not mean that you can never go back to Windows 10; This means that you need to maybe talk to Microsoft and explain your situation.  At the very least, you may have to go through the "phone activation" - not painful, just painful and a lot of typing.

If you are migrating, and then the 'return' feature hesitate (fail), use your recovery media (as you did) to retrieve the original installation.

OR - Contact HP: explain the situation.

  • internal microphone not working not properly

Sins, I bought my HP Pavilion dv7-7051ea a month ago, the internal microphone has never worked properly when I try to talk to my friends on Skype or voipwise. I have reinstold mic-no driver has not helped. Setting microphone on the Panel procedure did not help aither. Anibody, please help me solve the problem.

    George

Try the steps listed in this document from HP. He has the solutions and measures to isolate the most common problem.

Maybe it's a hardware problem like an external microphone works without any problem, but I would like to know what is happening at every stage of the document as that will help determine if it is a hardware problem or not.

Also, let me know the results of the procedure described in the help Windows Sound Recorder to test the microphone section. If this file is saved also exhibits the same behavior, it certainly isn't any software of third party at the origin of the problem.

  • Satellite A350 - Microphone not found on the computer

I recently got the computer and functioning perfectly, except the microphone does not work.
I checked the drivers, and I have 1 thing that says that we don't know. I looked at the list of drivers on the Toshiba site, and I don't see what it would be.

    Any ideas?

Sorry, but if you use the notebook with unknown device to factory settings can not be there.
Recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and by default the mic settings should work fine.

How you tested the mic feature?
By the way: what Satellite A350 exactly do you have? (A350-xxx)

  • Paviliion dv7: external Microphone not Picking Up Sound

    Hello

I recently bought a product that works better with direct external headphones. It was my first time ever using one with my laptop. When I went through the set up process, the microphone would pick up all the sounds and I couldn't hear anything through the external listener.  I tried to use the microphone and headphone port as well as the helmets of the different with the same result. Headsets work very well on other devices.

When I use only ordinary headphones connected via the helmet, I hear very well.

I went to control panel > hardware and sound > Sound > manage Audio devices to solve problems, but nothing has worked. I tried to update the latest drivers and I was told later are already installed.

Is the name of the product: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC

Product # (NOT the serial number) is: B5R46UA #ABA
The external microphone is called: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

    Please advise,

    chriscinthed

    Hi @chriscinthed ,

You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop. It will also fix the sound.

When you perform a system restore Please note remove all USB devices and headphones. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

Speaking to Rosetta Stone said headsets for use with the software here is for Plug-and-Play technology for the connected USB headset. Other computers you've tried have the Beats Audio.  To turn on or off the Beats Audio, press the fn in combination with the b button. Decision-making has influence on the Beats Audio which may need to be turned off. Then, try the microphone.
You guarantee that you plug the microphone headset in the selection for the helmets on the laptop.

    Thank you.

  • Yoga 12 (Win 10): Built-in Microphone "not connected".

    Hello world

I bought my ThinkPad Yoga 12 just a month ago, upgrades to Windows 10 after a few days. Everything worked well, including speakers and a microphone. Skype has worked well.

Yesterday, I tried to use Skype but my microphone does not work. I found that no microphone even was to be found in the settings.

Naturally, I reinstalled the audio driver. Now, there is at least one symbol "Built-in Microphone", but is not connected. Cannot be connected. Troubleshooting tells connect me and external microphone.

I did both disabled and disconnected devices visible in the menu.

Anyone knows what is the problem with my microphone and has an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

Don't you see any yellow exclamation or code in Device Manager?

Follow the steps below and check them off if they help.

    Step 1:

    a. you could try to double-click on the icon of the sound of the clock in the system tray, (it looks like a gray speaker on XP)

    b. click on the tab options, then go to properties and check that the microphone is checked.

    c. click OK and look at the window volume control and make sure that the "Mute" box is not checked.

    Step 2:

If that doesn't help, check the Device Manager for little yellow exclamation mark or a red X on the sound equipment. If you spot one of these, you can try to update the drivers and see if the problem still occurs.

See the article below to enter the Device Manager and update drivers:

  • Microphone not work. -my words are not heard, but my breathing can be heard.

When I use my headset with an online course, my words are not heard, but my breathing can be heard. My microphone worked during testing, but not when I asked a question. Is something wrong with my microphone headphones?

    Hi Mary Lou Wilson

You can check if you are facing the same question on another computer.

Also, verify that the default sound device is set correctly and other options are also needed. You can use the following steps and make sure the default audio device is correct-

    a. Open Sound by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
    b. click on the recording tab, click on Microphoneand then click Properties.
    c. click the levels tab and make sure the Mute button is on, if off to click on it to activate sound for this connection and then click apply.
    d. click on the Advanced tab, clear the checkbox allow applications to take exclusive instrument control and then click OK.

Check the link for assistance on the question below

  • Microphone not working no-Inspiron 15

I was getting comments in my speakers, so I tried to change the settings of the microphone and somehow removed the microphone in total.  Now, when I look at the Device Manager, it says that I don't have a microphone installed.  I have an Inspiron 15 5547.

Missions, it seems that I need to install a new driver.  I went to the page driver and tried to install the Driver Realtek Audio ALC3234 but it failed, because I already have this version of the driver.

Hello. Rather than download a new copy of your audio driver, you can do a simple reinstallation of the driver that you already have.

Open the Device Manager. (Press the Windows key + R key and then in the run box, type devmgmt.msc, and then click on 'OK'.  '' Or you can type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).

Then, expand 'audio, video & game controllers.

Right click on Realtek High Definition Audio to open the context menu.

    Click on uninstall.

Do NOT check the box "delete the driver for this device". Leave the box blank.

    Click OK.

Windows will uninstall the audio driver. When you restart the laptop Windows will be re - assemble the driver files that you did not delete, but the configuration of the pilot will be to its default settings.
