Microsoft Intellipoint has stopped working

Since September 30, when I installed Windows Live Essentials 2010 and some Windows updates, on each connection I get at least two boxes of message saying "Microsoft Intellipoint has stopped working". I have a 1000 keyboard Microsoft Wireless and a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000.

Hello

IntelliPoint is a program widely used, so I suspect either Windows Live Essentials or a
Update is the cause of the problem. Other possible causes are the antivirus/antispyware/security
programs and other startups.

Maybe the troubleshooting updates will help you.

Control Panel - Windows Updates - down left - click on installed updates - the dates that they were
installed is there. You can uninstall the after another or do 1/2, then the other 1/2.

Its possible that more than 1 day caused the question and its also possible that NO update has been
cause at all.

  • Microsoft Explorer has stopped working

I have Vista premium 64 bit which worked well for 8 months.  Now, I'm getting Microsoft Explorer has stopped working suite by Microsoft Explorer restarts.  In this case problably 10 to 15 times a day when I try to perform a task that requires exploring.   In addition, IE explore has the same problem (I was using IE7 32 bit until he leaves then I installed IE8 - worked for 3 days of work, then he started too fault, I tried the 32-bit versions and 64-bit - same problem).  Firefox works fine!  I tried to do a restore, but crashes with a blue screen of death each time.  I have a Dell 430 quad-processor with 8 GB of ram.  Any suggestions that I have not already tried another that reformat and reinstall the OS?

    Hello

IE and Explorer are closely related, so things that affect one affect both.

Try these and it can also be a good idea to update your main drivers later. The General corruption can also play a
role in this issue. And even the TCP/IP stack might need to be refreshed.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this

If no joy there's something blocking perhaps.

Check if the error mode without failure.

If the startup error message does not appear safe mode, I recommend you to place the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem occurs in a clean boot state.

To put the computer in a clean boot state, follow these steps:

    Perform a clean boot

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

    b. click Start , type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

    c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box.
(The box use the Boot file is not available.)

    d. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box and then click on disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    e. click OK, and then click restart.

Once the computer restarts, check if you get the error of starting.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. Click Start , type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
    3. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

If you don't receive the start-up error message after placing the computer in a clean boot state, follow the steps below in the link to diagnose the program or service that is causing the problem:
