    We have a customer requirement to enable read access to the database of UCCX. This account will be used to query the database UCCX and she will use as a service account for another system.

    Any local administrator in the box UCCX have DB rights. A simple way to do so is to:

    (1) create a new user on the server UCCX and add to the Administrators group

    (2) create a new user on the server that needs access to the DB and make sure he has the same exact username and password

    (3) make sure that the service or program running on the third server runs under the new account.

    When you configure your DSN, it will servername\CRSSQL to access the instance rather than just servername.

    If you need to authenticate using SQL authentication rather than Windows authentication, then you must be on SR5 (I think) and there are measures in UCCX release notes to the SQL authentication mode.

    If you want to use SQL authentication or does not have full administrator rights, then you must use OSQL (a command line SQL admin Tool, tool, search microsoft for info Web site) or access the server by using a copy of SQL Ent Manager (easier).

    I develop a customer scenario have two distinct UCCX for 2 separate remote offices in the CUCM even. I have 2 UCCX version 8.5.1.10000 - 37 and 1 cluster CUCM version 8.6.2.20000 - 2.

    I have 2 separate axluccx_users, 2 separate rmcm_users, 2 separate jtapi_users, I see everyone in 2 UCCXs servers, but I see not all UCCX 2 officers. Each UCCX can see respective agents.

    Each CTI of the respective ports only fed users of applications, devices, etc.

    or

    The supersivor have another option to change the jurisdiction of the officer without accessing the Web Application of the IPCC, but supervisors need to constantly change the skills of the staff. This customer has any CSQ based skills.

    Each UCCX system displays all users marked with an "Extension of the IPCC" CUCM system, so Supervsiors management skills will see all users and you cannot prevent this.

    'Team' and 'competence' configurations are specific to each group, so if you do not allocate users on the other system UCCX to the teams so that they appear not in the app to the supervisor, and you can not 'break' the other (i.e. UCCXB) UCCX defining skills badly on the local (i.e. UCCXA) UCCX - that are defined locally on your cluster.

    The pole on the other agents will appears in the filtering historical Client as well.

  • UCCX scripts, working with variables (variables to type?)

    I've got script of unilingual IVR which distributes calls in two separate CSQ (services and logistics), based on the entry of the appellant in the IVR menu. Each QSC contains several agents. There is flow under script that checks if a current day is holiday (similar to the example of Cisco HolidayCheck.aef)

    Now, I have to extend this script and make it multilingual. Many aspects in the script as dates.xml to check, name of the CSQ (each lang have services and logistics), lang for IVR guests are exactly the same files wav localized to specific national environment in different directories called.

    My idea is to parse the input (IVR or by number called country-specific) and on this basis set a variable named input_lang (string) with the values 'en', 'sk' or other). Then set other variables for good localization based on this variable input_lang.

    I have customization variables:

    input_lang (String) = «»

    holiday_datelist (Document) = [DOC]

    ivr_lang (language) = [L]

    CSQ_service (String) = «»

    CSQ_logistics (String) = «»

    When I set input_lang variable, for example "sk" (Slovak), I have other variables defined as:

    Set holiday_datelist = "DOC [dates -" + input_lang + ".xml]".

    Set ivr_lang = 'L []' + input_lang + '] '.

    Set CSQ_service = '-CSQ_servis' + input_lang

    Set CSQ_logistics = '-CSQ_logistics' + input_lang

    But this result in this strange values (not so weird, because they are all 'String-like')

    holiday_datelist = "DOC [dates - sk.xml]" instead of DOC [dates - sk.xml]

    ivr_lang = "L [sk]" instead of L [sk]

    etc... but the names of CSQs are also strings and the results are OK

    The script stops and throws a value unidentified exception / error variable.

    Y at - there no way how to fix string variable as lang/document as a representation? I think I have to get rid of these quotes in the beginning and the end of the value. I want only to concatenate the values of strings void variables based on each lang.

    Or me as a result of the wrong way and everything to do in a different way?

    I think that you are up to something and just need to make some minor changes.

    1. instead of assign the directory "dates - sk.xml" to the document variable, assign it to a string that points to the file name and the relevant path. Then initialize the document variable by using the step to "create a Document file. This should help you over any bumps with typcasting.

    2. for the language, it would be logical to use a statement 'switch' as follows:

    Channel switch (input_lang)

    Connection: Slovak

    Set ivr_lang = L [sk]

    Connection: en - uk

    Set ivr_lang = L [en - uk]

    ...

    Maybe it's not as effective as the road you have decided to take this point but it would work. The only time where I messed up with the support of several languages, I used the trigger JTAPI. It will work for you, if you have walked the road of the language based on the "called" number (as you suggest one way possible, you would take). In this way, you can have several triggers pointing to the same application and the variable of language may already be set on the trigger. You still wish to create/edit your variables. You'd probably want to focus on the expression editor methods. toString() and. getLanguage().

  • Upgrade & P2V from 8.5 to 9 +: upgrade then P2V or vice versa?

    We seek to improve our servers of Unified Communications and applications (CUCM, CUC, UCCX) version 8.x, and then virtualize on the new virtual machine environment.

    The CUC of CUCM & resident currently on a SAM 7825i4 and UCCX on a 7835I3 MCS.

    All are running 8.0 (2) - a customer is running 8.5 (we also seek to do the same for them).

    Question - what are your opinions about the best to carry out the work?

    Do you recommend for...

    1. first upgrade to version 8.x for 9 + in place (on the existing hardware - which I confirmed has the minimum requirements to run 9 +), and then to perform the P2V (Physical to Virtual) not after the upgrade?
    2. Or do you recommend doing the P2V first, followed by the upgrade from 8.x to 9 + on the new VM?

    I was leaning towards option 1.

    Whoever did this and in what order you do it? All the problems you are having? Any advice you can offer to avoid these issues or to speed up the process would be too large.

    Also in what concerns installation on partition and perform then the 'switch' - allowing the roller to 8.x if necessary - do you know if is the same for the upgrade to 9 + -? Or 9 + managing things differently?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    As I do these uppgrades that always seems to work for me.

    • Install a virtual CUCM Editor to the exact version as well as your current editor with the same hostname and IP address (but place it in a network of isolation). Install any additional firmware, settings etc on the new Pub regional.
    • DRS backup physical restoration of PUB and DRS to the virtual.
    • After the restoration, check the DB to ensure that everything looks good.
    • Pass virtual advertising in your target version.
    • After the upgrade, rehost / change the license to the new server.
    • Add / install any subscriber you need.

    Cutover would be simple:

    1. unplug the physical pub / subs from the network.

    2. change the NIC virtual VMware to be in the production network

    Restoration is the same in the opposite direction.

    I try not to change the physical Pub at all during upgrades because it makes the failover / easier restore.

    Regarding the other question on partitions, Yes, the things active / inactive still applies, however an upgrade of 8.5 (or more) to 8.6 (or higher) is an improvement of "Refresh" which takes MUCH more time - at least 2-3 hours per server. This is another reason why I create and update all under VMware, when new servers are not in production. Also note that, depending on your server hardware (including some models of MCS 7825), a conversion of equipment based on software based RAID is performed when you go to 8.6. This stops you being able to roll back without a complete reinstall.

    UCCX'll crumble the jar the configured CUCM JTAPI automatically; You can also take this file via the url https://cucmip/plugins/jtapi.jar.

    Once you have the jtapi.jar you can query version manually via CiscoJtapiVersion, make sure that the jar of jtapi is in your class path:

    java -classpath .:"/Volumes/Macintosh Data/Downloads/jtapi.jar" CiscoJtapiVersion

    For reference, the above came to a CUCM with version 8.6.2.22900 - 9

    If this is not enough, you can always pull down the newspapers MIVR via the RTMT which will be the version. Maybe do a little digging however.

    In an HA pair scenario, as before UCCX will automatically collapse the CUCM JTAPI. No manual intervention may be required.

    LRM keeps the value of active LRM in the form of a key in the LDAP database(Calabrio's). And all the services/clients use this key to determine which server LRM, they have to connect to.

    Then when the VoIP LUN SS is looking for this key in it is the own Server LDAP database and is unable to connect to this server in the key, this means that it is either the IP address of the IP address of inactive server(Slave's) LRM or they have problems of network/firewall connection between the two servers.

    Could be several reasons such as questions in the data base LDAP, no update of CVD, or simple connectivity problems.

    For the moment, do the following step by step:

    1) Restart the LRM service on the Master Node(Node 1)

    2) Restart the LRM service on the Slave Node(Node 2)

    3) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Master Node

    4) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Slave Node

    5) Restart the CCX Engine on the Master Node. (Note, this will failover the mastership from the Node 1 to Node 2)

    6) Once the Engine is up on Node 1, restart the CCX Engine on the Node 2 to fail the mastership back to Node 1

    This should ensure that the key to the address of the Active Server LRM is reset in the nodes (no problem in cardiovascular disease, on the other, you must restart the server after you complete the steps above considering).

    Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade CUCM 10.5 to 11.5 and try to find out if the version of Mediasense, UCCX and highway are supported and to confirm with the experts that I am mistaken.

    Currently I have the following text:

    CUCM/CUC - 10.5

    UCCX - 10.6.1

    MediaSense - 11.0.1

    Highway - 8.5.1

    So based on the documentation below if I go to CUCM 11.5 UCCX must be upgraded to version 11 and highway be upgraded to 8.8? MediaSense is ok here its version 11?

  • Time reports real UCCX CUIC 9.0.1

    Hi, I have a problem with the import of reports in real time.

    Release notes state that the appropriate data source must be configured before import it templetes real-time report.

    Guide of the CUIC user says that historic UCCE and UCCE real-time data sources exist by default when the fresh install. However, in my case, there are only cuic and UCCX configured by default datasouces (UCCX to db_cra). Should I create a data source in time real UCCE? What user/database to use?

    I am running cuic in UCCX, not on the stand-alone server.

    You must create your report on a premium version of cuic, you can then export it and import it in CCX.

    Are you trying to create a kind of billboards? It comes to my lab system not a customer.

    If you import the attached zip file, you will be able to create this view. This reads the rtCSQssummary table, so be sure to enable it in "time real snapshot Config.

  • My colleague and I are editing our first UCCX Call Center Script to include Spanish. Help

    My colleague and I are editing our Call Center the existing script maps. This is our first attempt to script UCCX. They need to break the script in 2 locations, one that already exists for English and a copy of the menu for a Spanish version.  We have tried to include an option for Spanish 2.  We did not want to press 1 for English user, but can if necessary. English is supposed to drop through the menu new or existing. 2 for Spanish is doing nothing.  It acts as if you press anything even if we have an entry identified as Language_Choice and a filter of 2, for the appellant to the Enter key.

    We are short of time and could use some guidance.  Thanks for any help, Jackie

    All,

    Updated 701 (SR5) CCX to CCX 8.0.2 Premium HA activated. Both servers were in SERVICE. A Patch have upgraded to UCCX 8.0.2SU1. Noticed that VOIP Monitor Subsystem on both servers to list as OUT of SERVICE. Downgraded to CCX 8.0.2, always get this subsystem OUT of SERVICE.

    RTMT, it displays the following error:

    I suggest you to restart the two boxes using the command 'restart System utils' and see if it helps to resolve the issue.

    We got a requirement of customer fot do ANI or extension to routing database.

    As we use UCCX 8.5 with call manager version 8.6.2.

    The customer's requirement must route the call to agents of perticular if the call comes from 4000 to 5599 range cisco extensions. and if the extension is 2300 to 2699 then agents would be different. All users use the Cisco Extensions and we created an internal call centre for users.

    Well, that depends. You can use a database to store information of ANI.

    After the capture of ANI (as a string) with the info to call Contact, you can make a splash of database. The table contains a type ID of the call, for example, if 1, send it to CSQ1, so 2, send it to CSQ2.
