MSOE. DLL

Windows corrupted on my old PC, bought a new one and went to put the old drive hard in as an external drive. Now I'm going to pull the old emails and contacts from outlook and I can't get my outlook to launch. I get the message file MSOE. DLL could not be loaded. Please help, I have 6 years of a value of emails and everyone I know e-mail addresses are here!

Thank you

Mike

I created a Google Group, invited members, received their responses and published the list of members.  When I tried to send an e-mail to the group, I got a message that msoe.dll could not be initialized.  How to solve this?

Sorry, but the info was so 'goop gobbly' for me.  Y at - it somewhere that I can download the msoe.dll?

While you might be able to, two points...

    (1) not a safe idea.  Microsoft does not offer it more (they do not support OE6) and nowhere else - you take your chances.

    (2) most important - the file is not likely your problem.  Something else is probably causing this message.

You may need to remove (I suggest renaming it to RECORDS. OLD personally) RECORDS. DBX file.  If Folders.dbx is damaged, OE often stops displaying the files to the existing *.dbx files, and sometimes OE will simply refuse to start. Also a bloated Folders.dbx can OE run very slowly. These two problems can be repaired by closing OE and deleting Folders.dbx. Understand although you will lose the mail directory structure, all the discussion lists and all synchronization options and this message rules will probably have to be edited

There is another option where you could not lose the folder structure (will not be rebuilt) because you are going to import it from a BACKUP of everything what you do by renaming the whole store folder before you rebuild everything in OE - but I thought it would be more simple.

    C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Application Data\Identities\{...} \Microsoft\Outlook express

(The usual location for the file.)

    Hi Lynncalaska,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft answers Community Forums.

  • How can I fix WinMail error code 0 x 80070002, MSOE.dll could not be initialized?

Suddenly, I was unable to access my aol e-mail account via winmail as I did for some time.  I get an error message that says: "Windows Mail could not be started.  initialize junk filtering.  Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. (0 x 80070002) ».  My only option is to click OK.  Can I get a second message which reads: ' Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE. " DLL cannot be initialized. "I ran virus scans, I tried to reinstall Windows Mail, I checked the Microsoft Knowledgebase and I restored my computer to a point before you have the problem.  I can access my AOL e-mail account via the Internet, but really have problems with the functionality, and I can't access any previous mail in my Inbox or one of my registered email.  Can someone tell me what's happened and how can I fix the problem?

    Hello

Method 1: You can reset the message storage location and which can allow you to run Windows Mail.

    Navigate to the following location:

    Mail C:\Users\{yourusername}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Note: (The directory may be hidden, go to control panel |) Folder options | View and activate
display of files and folders hidden and also uncheck the hide option
    extensions of known file types).
Rename this directory from Windows Mail to Windows Mail old and then start
Windows Mail and it will introduce a new message store in a new directory of Windows Mail.
Note: If make you it work, then you can go to file | Import |
Messages and point to the old directory.

    Method 2:
You can try to remove the Windows Mail registry key and if
It doesn't work, then try to delete the identity key.
    (a) click Start, type run and press enter
    (b) in the execution type search regedit and press enter
    (c) go to the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities
Note: Make sure WinMail is closed, right click on the key and
    Click on delete.
Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • I turned off the pc, but I can't send e-mail. get msoe.dll

When I try to send an e-mail, it is said msde.dll, can you tell me what to do

Your message store is corrupt.  If you can start OE, move all messages from the Outbox to another folder if you want to save.  Then with OE closed, delete the outbox.dbx file (hidden).  If the problem persists, remove folders.dbx.  So the best thing to do is to set up a new identity via file | Identities and set up your account.  Once things are working, then you can import identity corrupted using file | Import | Messages.  I would recommend also to save your messages, as they tend to self-destruct in OE.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6

  • Cannot open outlook express, the error message - ' failed to initialize msoe.dll/can ' t find msoe.dll.

Earlier today, outlook express worked fine. I closed my laptop for an hour and outlook would not come, error instead, he adds that my drive is maybe full or memory full. Checked both, should have no problem.

    Hi Rhonda,

This behavior can occur if the attributes of a part or all the messages Outlook Express *.dbx files are read-only.

Method 1: Rename the Folders.dbx file.

    a. click Start, point to findand then click files or folders.

    b. in the named box, type folders.dbx.

    (c) in the area look in , click on your main hard drive (usually drive C), and then click find now.

    d. right-click on the Folders.dbx file and then click Rename.

    e. type folders.old, and then click OK.

    f. launch Outlook Express. This automatically creates a new Folders.dbx file.

Method 2: Check to see if this article helps you.
