My beloved iPod classic has stopped working

Hello, everyone!

So, Yes. My dear iPod classic is sadly passed away after almost 8 years. I don't know what to do.

I'd really like to have your opinion: it is better to change the hard drive? Someone has already tried with an iPod classic?

I would really like to continue to use it, because it is simply the best.

Thanks in advance!

If 'iPod classic' means that it is a 5th generation iPod (first one that plays videos) or later version, this website has interesting information and products to replace the bad hard drive with commonly available as a card flash storage compact flash or a SD card (on an adapter).

https://www.iFlash.xyz/

I haven't used those specific adapters with the 5th generation iPod later, but I have improved my 3rd and 4th generation iPod even older in a similar way (using different cards).  We now have the SD card and you use the card compact flash.  With the new battery (replaced at the same time), the two work better now with higher storage capacity than when they were new.  From my experience, SD cards are cheaper compared to the compact flash cards of the same storage capacity.  And SD cards are physically smaller.

If your iPod "classic" is 4th gen or more (like mine), you can post back for further information.

The hardest part is open the case without causing damage.  This web site has illustrated the repair guides (and there are also many 'how to' videos on YouTube).

  • Contact ID has stopped working

After the 9.3.1 update my ID of more Touch iPhone 6s has stopped working. All my fingerprints have been deleted and it won't let me add them. The option is grayed out.

Looks like a hardware problem. Before taking your phone to the local Genius Bar, make sure that you follow all the steps below:

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

The predictive text on my iphone 4S has stopped working even though I turned on. Help?

    Greetings Emmyneo,

It seems that the predictive text on your iPhone stop of work not at all. Is this correct?

First thing I would suggest would be to turn off predictive text, and then turn it back on again. The place to do this is in settings > keyboard stop predictive , then press. See this help page for reference - Enter text - iPhone

If the predictive text feature was not returned as expected, quit all running applications and try again.

Force an app to close the iOS

If the problem is still present, restart the iPhone-

I think that norton or mcafee may have been preinstalled as trial versions, but I've never actually used them. Unfortunately I can't use the windows Explorer, so I can't check if they are still there.

We will cover all the possibilities.

    1. download each of the tools for deletion below, save it to your desktop:

    Norton Removal Tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    McAfee removal tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all software (including LiveUpdate and Add-ons of Norton) Norton through Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view)

    4. right click on one of the files that you saved in #1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

-Online use another computer to download the removal tool, if necessary, then transfer it to the computer via CD, DVD, or a USB brand new, never been used (flash drive), or a summer freshly updated in shape.

-Online start the problem in Mode safe computer, if necessary, proceed as above.

-Online after completing all of the above, uninstall AVG Free & reboot. Now do a new installation of AVG Free 9.0, this time select the CUSTOM installation option and do NOT install (uncheck) Linkscanner Search-Shield, Active Surf-Shield, security or the email of crawl components toolbar.

    (1) did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

    (2) when exactly you receive this error message?

    Method 1:

Step 1: Place the computer in a clean boot state to check the question
Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If the issue is not persistent, then follow the article to find the cause of the same thing.

Step 2: I suggest you to place the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists.
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see step 3 of the link to clean boot the computer to a normal startup mode.

Method 2: File system (CFS) Checker

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.

    (b) right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    (c) when the control calls, the following line and press on ENTRY:

    sfc/scannow

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7?

In step 2, I stopped and unchecked below normal start-up services and I see error "Desktop has stopped working" but still get the "Spooler subsystem app stopped working." Is there a way to fix this?

  • HP touchsmart IQ775 Wireless mouse has stopped working.

Wireless mouse has stopped working. I have a HP Touchsmart IQ775 so I can touch the screen to navigate. did a restore of the system in SafeMode this morning and everything works fine now, but of course, it happens again. Last week, the computer did an update to quicktime which disabled, so I had to completely uninstall quicktime and the mouse immediately worked. looked but could not find that whatever this is updated overnight to re - train the problem this morning. However, the system closed and said 'power system failure driver' cannot know how to fix this, all say updated mouse drivers. is associated it with? This not computer savvy, usually google problems on my ipod touch and looking and staring at me but were not able to understand this. Thanks for all the tips

    Hello

HP also has their own update so he could be there?

I would stop automatic driver updates, because they are often older certified and MS is far behind.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.
