  • Dell (All in One) Studio One 1909/19 power start mystery

    A friend asked me to look at Studio One 1909 sister who does not illuminate.  She brought to Best Buy for repair and was told it was the motherboard and don't bother fixing.  When the computer is connected for the first time in the CD eject light doesn't light up for a short period and then goes out, no. fans no beeps... nothing.

    I tried a few things to get started, unplugged power wedge, CMOS battery check button to delete all connections etc... but he seemed dead and I was coming to the same conclusion that the technician at best buy, maybe bad power supply or motherboard dead.

    I called my friend and gave him the bad news and then he told me that he had the computer running after that he brought home from his sister's House.  He said all started and went very well and he left him when he went to sleep and when he woke up the next day it would not start no matter what he tried. He asked how the motherboard could be dead if he was running so well for 1 day.  I decided to give another glance to the computer.  I removed the power button checked, checked all the connections of power once more and did not find any obvious problems.  I plugged the computer while I had it put on the table, face down and left for a period of time before I went back to it.  I stood the computer up and to my astonishment started computer and everything went perfectly.  I was curious about what I touched to start.  My excitement lasted only until the next morning, when the computer will not turn on.  I came to the conclusion that the face of the computer down was the thing that allowed me to start the computer.

    I worked with the computer for a few days and understood that he would in a kind of "Eve" from 1 to 02:00 and to restart I have let face down for about 1/2 hour before starting the system.  I tried different things every night, unplug overnight, leaving to run, stop and leave it plugged in, and the results were the same every morning, regardless of how I left the computer the night before, he would not be running.  Last night after I left the computer face down and this morning I put it up and it starts right now.

    My theory is that some sort of pressure is put on the touchscreen sensors placing it face down and he wakes up the computer.  I tried many things before I discovered this trick.  I went to the CMOS settings, the first day I was able to start the computer and the only problem I noticed was that the date was wrong, so I fixed that and all reset the default settings.  I put the power options in windows to never go in mode "sleep" but I don't think that the operating system is in any way related to this problem as it would go in this hibernation even when unplugged.  I still think it's a motherboard problem, but do not know what could be the cause.

    I tried to update the BIOS A04 Version but I read in the forums about the systems in brick after the BIOS flash and I don't want to risk it with someone elses computer.

    Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?

  • Dell studio one 64-bit operating system

    I have a Dell Studio one operating system 64-bit and need to know if I can install a 32-bit operating system on his computer without any problem.  I have several programs that can only be used on a 32-bit system. Please tell us if this can be done and what to buy to do.

    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx

    Check on the Dell site above to ensure that the Vista 32-bit drivers are available for your model computer.

    You must then buy a license and Vista operating system 32-bit full disk and do a clean install of the 32-bit operating system.

    How to do a clean install:

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Since Windows 10 on Dell Studio One, impossible to scan with Pixma MG3100

    Since the installation of 10 window on a Dell Studio One, I was unable to analyze with a Pixma MG3100. I tried to install mp68-victory-mg3100-1_02-ea24, but only the driver of Canon IJ function tool made.  Although the Canon IJ Network Scanner selector EX appears in "Programs and features", it does not show an icon on the desktop.  Turn off the Avast firewall did not help to install.

    An older Dell desktop computer and a PC even older Toshiba laptop using the same printer, but have not had this problem after moving to Windows 10.  (Apparently Dell has nothing to do the Studio One ready for Windows 10.).

    I have somehow missed the essential.  I had to only add the Solution Menu ex and MP Navigator EX 5.0 strangely, I couldn't find the first site of Canon in Thailand and the second in Singapore.

    Fan runs smoothly.

    Failure: in fact the outer part of the radiator is responsible for this when the engineer came out the part and he hit an outside party who is also visible (Manager) of air is broken.

    It was broken when an engineer trying to clean the fan lol.

    I've also attached the image of the broken part. Image is not good but always visible

  • Pro from Dell place 8 touch screen problem

    Hello Dell Tech and users!

    I have a coming 8 Pro and I love it.  However, recently, I noticed a problem with the touch screen.  When my screen is in portrait mode with the windows key upward, I can't slide in from the right.  Similarly, if I flip the cost-to the right mode screen landscape with the button of windows on the left, I can't slide down from the top.  I took it to my local Microsoft store where I bought it, and they said to contact Dell, as it is under warranty (bought in dec 2013) and it seems that the digitizer is laminated.  How to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim Smith

    Milwaukee, WI

    Looks like you will have to re - calibrate your screen (this same situation happened to me).  Do a search on the tablet to "calibrate".  For me, it worked for re - adjust calibration to the original values - do the recalibration process had not helped.

    http://support.Dell.com/support/eDOCS/systems/WS340/en/UG/DIAGS.htm

    Try the above balance sheet of Dell Diagnostics, using F12 to start this process.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You can also follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
    Restore point:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • I have a Dell Studio 1737 problems load and eject CD CD player loading side

    I have a Dell Studio 1737 with a CD to load by side of the eject button is on the top. He stopped to load or eject the CD he did make a sound now things just stuck. Does anyone have an idea of what went wrong past and how to fix it? Thank you

    There should be a small pin hole in the front of the cd player. You can insert a paperclip unfolded in the hole and press. The Board should then opens. If it does not open and close automatically after that, then you have a mechanical problem with the drive and should be replaced.
