  I had to reinstall Vista on my Dell Studio 1535 and the re-install, I wasn't able to connect to the wi - fi because apparently Vista doesn't recognize the card wireless site. In Device Manager, it lists the generic 'network controller' and has a question mark next to it.

  I installed system software Dell, Dell Notebook System software, Quickset, chipset drivers and the R206848 file that contains drivers of 1397, yet its still not recognized. What Miss me?

  Thank you Rick. Still could not make it work this way, so ultimately I clicked on the generic and clicked Update Driver network controller and then said that he resembles c:\dell\drivers, and he finds the right driver and installed properly. Wireless now works!

  I work with Dell Studio 1555 laptop computers that have Windows Vista Home Premium on them.  I had to reinstall Vista and drivers.  Now that it's all over I can't the laptop to connect to wireless internet.  I get the below error message:

• Dell Studio 540 no speakers or headphones Sound - win 10

  My Dell Studio 540 lost out to attached speakers.  I can't tell if the problem is caused by the upgrade to win 10 or if I experienced a motherboard failure a coincidence.  I tried a number of bugs that include uininstalling pilots, roll back drivers and even install Vista drivers original I have original system disks.  Nothing works.

  I see, looking at the acoustic, Panel output HDMI seems to work because I can see where it says sound when playing music.  However, I can't the speakers or headphones of entry to work.  Even if I try the speaker plugs into one of the entrances, the acoustic Panel still shows the headphones or speakers are not connected.

  So, how can I get the systΦme can recognize that speakers have been connected?  Is there another driver I can use.  So far, I've tried several driver Realtek and configurations, does not

  Apologies for the lack of your post. The Studio 540 has never been validated for Windows 10.

  

  My advice is to disable the Realtek HD audio integrated into Bios - Advanced - Integrated Peripherals. Then install a current PCIe x 1 sound card in a PCIe x 1 on the motherboard slots. His current card will provide 10 Windows drivers.

I just bought the Sims 3 and after inserting the disc, choose a language and a count of the wizard InstallShield, once I have access to the license agreement page and click on 'I agree' and click 'Next' an error message pops up saying something about impossible to install. He has a huge long error code and I don't know what that means. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the drive, so I went back to the store and exchanged it for a new one. When I got home and tried to install it again, it's the same thing. Then I tried to install another game that I have (Zoo Tycoon - Zookeeper edition) just to see if any game would work... It's the same thing; before he actually started to install an error message came. The first error message said something to have an invalid character in some way... ? ! (no idea...) Then an other error message pops up something else I didn't really...
  So, as you can see, there must be something wrong with my laptop. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE. I would appreciate advice...!

  There should be a small pin hole in the front of the cd player. You can insert a paperclip unfolded in the hole and press. The Board should then opens. If it does not open and close automatically after that, then you have a mechanical problem with the drive and should be replaced.

  Thanks a lot for the guide. Finally, I've identified the problem via the boot as in the NVIDIA driver.  I've now updated that and everything seems to work fine - touch wood!
