My keyboard out of control

Hi all, my keyboard cannot stop typing "n". But sometimes he can't type "n".

How can I do?

Thank you very much!

There may be some fine grain on the side of the tile of keys.   Use a thin but firm brush (toothbrush may be new and unused) and gently try to brush around the letter.   No telling how old it has warranty service may not apply.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: cursor moves out of control on the screen

    Hey guys,.

I'm seriously going crazy right about now... my problem is the following:

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, Windows XP Professional with SP2, memory: 512 MB.

About two weeks ago my cursor began to move up and down whenever I pressed the space bar. It has gotten worse since. My cursor moves out of control across the screen (there are usually in the upper right or lower left) and I can not recover. I know for a fact that it has nothing to do with my external mouse (optical), because this problem also occurs when I use my pointing device. Even in safe mode.

    The thing I've tried:
    Ran Spybot: Search and Destroy
    Ran Adaware
    Xoftspy RAN
A ran Symantic Antivirus 10 (complete analysis of the system in safe mode)
    New keyboard
    New motherboard

Nothing helps. I'm this close to format my pc. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I put t he understand. You have changed the keyboard and the motherboard, but you did not recover the OS with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
The first procedure that you should do is the new installation of the OS before you change or replace anything on the laptop.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to say why it occurs. A friend of mine has a similar problem with the cursor. The cursor has jumped on the screen and it was not possible to open applications. It has (or service) resolved with the replacement of keyboard.

If the new installation OS doesn't fix this strange cursor, so I recommend you contact Toshiba.

No matter if I disable mdutil and kill Spotlight... Spotlight returns and eats CPU.

  • Portege R600 - the touchpad cursor is out of control

I have problems with the touchpad on a Portégé R600 running Windows 7.
The cursor is out of control.

When I'm scrolling a page and you have to push the slider on the page, the screen scrolls down out of control.
Sometimes I can fix it up by double tapping the touchpad, but also often, it does not work.

When I type the cursor will jump to another area of the page and insert the typing it.
The combination of these problems sometimes makes the laptop almost unusable.

I noted that several forum users have brought up the variations of this problem, but received no response.

Anyone can shed light on how to fix?

    Hello

I think that it s a temporal question regarding the sensitivity of the touchpad settings and the Microsoft windows OS.

First, you must change the settings for the touchpad as PalmCheck sensitivity and sensitivity to touch.
You can do this in Control Panel-> mouse-> tab-> settings the touchpad device settings

In addition, you must make sure that the operating system is clean and that some background process don't affect the functionality of the touchpad. In many cases the touchpad don't work properly because of system overhead.
Clean the registry with CCleaner, don't disable some no necessary process in msconfig and at least update the touchpad drivers.

  • color laserjet 2840 scrolling out of control control panel

My HP color laserjet 2840 Control Panel scroll out of control.  The screen lights up and you can read "Hewlett-Packard", but nothing else.  Under the words "Hewlett-Packard" that seems to be something (probably the word "Ready") scrolling to the right on the left of a way very fast, unreadable.  I can't print with this problem.

I recently installed a mod for additional memory, but preinted fine a few days before, so that's not the issue.

If anyone has any idea how I can return to the "Ready" State, I would really appreciate it.  Thank you.

Thank you for the reset option.

Since my original post, I called HP support and they told me that they don't support any more of my printer.  I was even unable to discuss the issue, which has been quite disappointing.

I ended up out the memory mod that I mentioned in my post and the screen of the printer stop scrolling.  I had the feeling that it was the question, because it was the only variable, but it was the good mod, so I wasn't sure.

In the meantime, I was forced to buy a new printer because I needed one and now I have an extra.

  • Portégé M 200 - on screen pointer is out of control

When I right-click on a document, the worksheet, the image, in a folder, or cut/copy/etc, the pointer on the screen sometimes goes haywire. I have no control of the mouse or pointer. Hello

    It's a very strange problem.
I don't know why this is happening. But I guess it must be something wrong with the hardware. Maybe the mother or the keyboard.
In the past I had a very strange problem on my laptop. It was not a Toshiba laptop. The unit will stop if I opened a site in HTML. It happened only with HTML sites. I know it's strange but true. I contacted the service and he changed the jury.

Well well, since the motherboard, replacement of all work fine. But I mean, it's a lot of strange problems occur without knowing why. I think you should contact Toshiba service in your country.

I have a Lenovo G550. I played Army 3 of America on Steam (a game service run by Valve) when all of a sudden I couldn't control my player. I assumed it was a bug in AA3 and passed to Minecraft where it's the same thing. It must be something with my keyboard, but I'm not sure. Just in case, I handed to conditions in the factory and redone the games. The same problem. I run windows 7 on this computer. Thank you in advance.

  • Windows 7 backup out of control

I am baffled by the amount of space used to create my backup Windows 7 Home Premium.  I have a HD 1 TB primary I am backup on an external 2 TB drive.  I chose to select the files to back up and to include a system image.  The files include my libraries and a few other folders.  A quick calculation shows the selected data set to be less than 400 GB.

My backup is scheduled to run once a week.  After several weeks, the files and the total picture to more than 1.5!  How is that possible?  At this rate I won't soon have enough space to run the full backup.

It seems that the data that has been supported until increases exponentially in size.  The image file is only about 400KB of the total.

I see a new folder called "Backup files" whose date and number is created under the folder "Backup Set" with each backup procedure.  I wonder: each of these folders is a duplicate of the previous with only new or modified files added?  This seems to be the only explanation for the size of my saved data to be snowball like that.  If so, is it safe to delete all files except the most recent to keep the total size of the data under control?  How will this affect the backup catalog?

    Hi Sungroupie,

Please write your request on the Microsoft Community Forum.

To help you best the issue you face, please answer the following questions:

    1. How often do you make a backup in Windows 7?
    2. You create system image backup whenever you perform?

In the meantime, you can try the steps below and check to see if they help.

I suggest you uncheck the option to create a system image every time that you make a backup and then try to create a manual backup that takes place every month.

  • Volume is out of control (gets his "own life") - triggers ATV volume goes to the maximum or minimum in a matter of a minute.

    Hello

    I come from Apple TV.

When turning on our ATV volume it triggers that our volume of receiver Denon drifting slowly to maximum or minimum-, it takes about 1 min to do this.

Tried to connect directly to our Denon receiver and our Sony TV ATV. Problem happens in two configurations. I tried different options to turn off the smart controls which offers the latest HDMI - ATV standard both our TV (for example, disable the automatic volume control).

By turning the ATV and the new (menu system) will stop the problem for awhile - but same problem returns after 1 to 5 mins.

I spent 8 hours in the last days trying to make it work. Looks like a bug in the SW of the ATV? (i.e. Disabling smart control of ATV does not take effect).

Desipite being impossible to use, I don't want to damage my 20K speaker system. I am close to my unit back and get a Chromecast instead.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated!

System: Apple TV Gen 4 + Denon AVR 2313 + Sony KDL 60w605 all the connected HDMI (and 3 other units that work very well).

Sounds like a defective remote control.  With HDMI control off the coast, it seems possible, that the remote control is to turn off the IR signals directly to the receiver.  Try to cover the distance before or the façade.  In any case, I would return the unit.  During the test leave in the main menu and just look at the level of the volume on the receiver.  Do not play anything to avoid overload problems.

    Post your receiver model number.

    Hello!

I m new here and my English isn't the best. So I apologize, if I m typing a few words wrong.

My problem: I install my old Portege R100. I was able to reinstall Windows XP Home on the R100 and especially all things are okay.
Something that happens 'out of order' is the 'FN' key, this key is used to turn off the sound light, etc. What driver is needed to solve this problem? I have already installed a lot of things, but sometimes my computer asks me Toshiba common module. I thought that I ve installed several times, but he is not "a set-up-installation..."

    Something wrong?

    Best regards
    Rita

    Hello Rita

I see that he just a problem. All Toshiba tools and utilities must be installed according to order of specific facilities. Toshiba common Modules must be installed in a first step, before you continue to install any other Toshiba tool or utility.

On the Toshiba download page you can find the document Instructions of facilities. Check and install all the stuff following this order of installations.
