My sound is coming from my speakers integrated instead of through the headphone jack.

I'm 15 1270 ca and last night it froze while I was listening to music, forcing me to turn off manually by pressing the power button. When the computer is back, my sound out of my speakers instead of my external speakers through the headphone jack. I checked the speakers through my mp3 player, so I know they are involved, it seems to be taking that does not work.

Any help is appreciated!

Please reinstall the audio drivers and ensure that none of the earphones are connected when reinstall us audio drivers, it should work even after doing this if its does not work then please set the default BIOS, it should work

  • No sound from the speakers, but the headphone jack works fine

Original title: computer with no sound

My computer has no sound coming from the speakers, but the headphone jack works fine. Can someone help me with this?

    Hi jbreezy,.

We recommend you to check if the speaker is defined as default playback on your computer device. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. right click on the sound/volume icon in the right corner of the task bar, then click on "adjust audio properties".
    b. click on the Volume tab, click Advanced under Speaker settings, select the speaker and click ok.
    c. click on the tab Audio, audio playback device, select default.
    d. click apply and then click ok.
    e. check if the problem persists.

  • Satellite M305D: No sound through the headphones but the speakers don't work

    Hey,.

I have a M305D I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate. I installed all necessary drivers.

However, when I plug the headphones in the headphone jack I have no sound in headphones and the loudspeakers continue to play.

I don't know if the socket has worked before I refomrated.

    So I can't tell if it's a pre-existing condition.

Assistance on the issue of the helmet would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Have you tested with another helmet?

Maybe the little switch that is part of the headphone jack works not properly and doesn t switch between speakers and headphones.
In this case the question would be related to hardware

I m not very well if this problem could be related to a malfunction of the software, but it would be really interesting to know if the problem persists after installing the OS from the recovery DVD.

  • Speakers do not work, but the headphones are

    Hello

Just until yesterday, the speakers were working well, but today I try listening to something but no sound coming from the speaker.

I plugged my headphones and it seems to work very well. But when I unplug my headphones no sound. Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Hello Ninito,

Because you heard tones during the display of the color bars in the embedded PSA Diagnostics, this means that the speakers work.

Because you can hear the audio through the headphones this means that the audio hardware and driver are working.

If you reinstall the audio driver * but still can not hear the speakers, this means that in the headphone detection circuit does not. When the detection circuit fails, Windows "believes" that a plug into the Jack and therefore will not allow audio to switch the speakers.

The solution is to replace the plug, but your model is taking part of the motherboard. To replace decision means replace the motherboard which is too expensive for most people. Your idea of using an external speaker system is probably your best workaround.

As you may know, Dell does not support Windows 8 on the model of the Studio 1558. I guess that the audio driver you are using is now the native audio driver that is built into Windows 8. You can also try the IDT audio driver (IDT is the manufacturer of audio equipment on a Studio 1558). This link will lead you to a page of drivers suggested for a Studio 1558 with Windows 8. If you want to try the driver IDT, go to this page and click the link under the word "Audio".

If you are able to install an IDT audio driver in your Studio 1558 with Windows 8, there is a solution that could allow audio to come through the speakers. This workaround is in V of article 2 of the Jack FAQ of headphones.

    Depends on your audio device.

  • How to fool a laptop for playing through speakers when it assumes that the headphone is plugged?

I'm working on fixing the laptop from my friend and I was able to get audio to play through the speakers. The thing is, the headphone jack is loose and the computer requires a pair of headphones are connected. I don't know how I did it, but I want to reproduce it. It would be cool to have this problem for my friend does not have to always use the USB headset.

    Hello

Thanks for the detailed description of issue.

    Please answer the following question:
What is the brand and model of the computer?

We will define the speakers as the default output device and check if it helps.

Exercise the functions mentioned below to set the speakers as default:
    a. go to Start and click on Panel.
    b. click on her, then a new window will open.
    (c) in the new window click on the tab 'Read' and
You can search for speakers and right-click in the window and click and click on "Set as default".

  • U2413, Audio sound coming from monitors the headphone jack.

I have audio noise from headphone monitor U2413 plug.  My setup includes the following: XPS 15 laptop computer connected to the monitor with DisplayPort cable and the last standard headphones to the monitor.  The noise sounds like the gain is all the way to the top.  I have no audio on the computer running and still hear static noise.  I hear the sound noise cut only when I disconnect the video cable.  I tried DisplayPort and HDMI cables and still the same result.  The two cables that I know are well insulated.  Is their environment in the monitor that should get rid of this noise?

The user's Guide, States on page 9,
"Audio Out = connect the mini stereo Jack sound bar.
«NOTE: use of the helmet is not supported for the line audio output connector.»

This port is designed to be used with the Dell soundbar speakers or some other speakers. You should connect your headphones to the audio output jack of the computer.
