I bought a Satellite C850D-11 q runnings Windows 8 of Curry to the United Kingdom for my daughter just before Christmas - was a very good price £300 - however, she says that she will be surfing the internet and or do a variety of other tasks (no particular process does seem to be involved) and suddenly the screen turns blue and the computer will be closed and restart no reason apparent. He did at least 30 times per month.

BSOD means that there is a hardware problem or software problem.
The BSOD can be caused by high temperatures as well as problems of RAM.
So it's not easy to say what is causing the BSOD.

Make sure that this laptop is cooled properly.
In addition, if the temperature is not the problem, try to recover the system using the recovery options described in the user manual and in the present document:

  • Windows Vista x 64-screen white blue

    Dear Microsoft,
I bought my computer on November 2009. The operating system is Windows Vista x 64 with 4 GB RAM.
Often at startup the screen becomes 'blue' or the system must be restored from a previous configuration.
    Issues related to the:
    (1) how to permanently solve the problem, because this operation is boring taking several minutes (sometimes up to an hour)?
    (2) I will propose on Windows 7? If so, is the free upgrade or will I pay? In the case of compensation, how much it cost and I need backup before installing Windows 7?
Thank you much for your kindly attention.

  • Windows 7 system keeps freezing

    Original title: Windows 7 crashes

Can someone out there tell me what keeps my gel system I had purchased the system with Vista Home and let a store to remove a virus and when I got it back, it had been improved for Windows 7 Ultimate now it keeps hanging up on any help would be great.

    Hello buddy,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem may occur because of the presence of an infection like a virus or due to corrupted Windows files.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Run checker (SFC) of file system and see if it helps.
    Refer to this article:
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/929833

System File Checker is a Windows utility that allows users to find corruptions in Windows system files and restore the damaged files.

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
I appreciate the fact that a virus has been removed from your computer. It is possible that such an infection is still present in Windows. Then, if he please run Microsoft safety scanner and check the issue.
    Reference:
    Microsoft safety scanner
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphone screen remains blue to make a call

My 9330 has developed a new show.  When I make a call, the screen remains blue and the keyboard no longer works.  Voice call allows the call pass but I can't remove/save a message.  I did the hard reset and tried an update, or helped.  any ideas?

    Curve 9330

    5.0.0.857

I know you said you did a hard reset, but make sure that do you this way, once more:

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way:

With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for FIVE minutes and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • Photoshop Elements 9 keeps hanging my computer

    Hello

I have a problem my computer guard "suspended" when I run PE9.

I ran PE7 successfully for a few years with no problems and recently downloaded and installed a trial version of PSE9. My computer keeps hanging when I use the function of organizer of PSE9. It does not appear to be linked to a specific - activity the system could, for example, work on the regeneration of thumbnails... or rest it. The only thing to do when it crashes is to hit the power button and turn off the computer - shift > alt > del has no effect. Length is between 5 and 15 minutes to make the computer hang after the start of PSE9.

    Measures already taken to try to reslove;

-It seems that accepts only the computer off due to a corruption of catalog where the Organizer PSE9 wouldn't start. Help has been kindly provided in another post to reolve this (at least now works PSE9).

-Photoshop and Elements 7 first have been completely leached

    -PSE9 was remove and reinstall

-The registry has been cleaned and compacted

Catalogue of PSE9 has been repaired and compacted

    Help appreciated please

    Hey Graham,.

  • MacBook Pro recovery, second screen goes blue

I have connected a second monitor via HDMI to my Macbook Pro, but when the Mac goes to sleep after having no use, the second screen will able. How can I make a screen saver is on the second screen. The screens are not mirrored. The law as one long screen. Thanks for the tips

    Hello SaadSydney,

These are the facts as I understood your message:

-You have a MacBook Pro that you use in conjunction with an external monitor which allows you to extend your Mac display.

-However, when you put your Mac to sleep, the external screen goes blue.

-Instead of your external monitor turning blue, you want it display a screen saver.

It is important to note that any screen connected to your Mac screen may not show a screensaver mode 'sleep'. I don't know if your external monitor itself allows you to choose a screen saver and let it run while your MacBook is asleep, but otherwise, there is no inherent solution corresponding to your query in OSX El Capitan. Perhaps that is the reason why your external screen goes blue when your Mac goes to sleep - it is always plugged, but we can think that there is an error or something similar allowing him to view any content, even if it is plugged.

If your MacBook itself displays a screen saver, but not in mode ensures your external display also displays this screen saver.

    Hope you understand,

    -RamalTheCamel

  • How to keep the screen Apple Watch?

When you use Stocard, sometimes I need to rotate my wrist backwards to scan the barcode, but it makes the screen saver off!  I can't find anything that actually stay on.  Very frustrating, because most supermarkets have flat scanners, so the watch must be upside down for the barcode to be scanned.  It is not a problem with Apple pay.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > screen Wake - under the tap, select 70 seconds.

When you wake up your screensaver by pressing on it (rather than by increasing your wrist), this will keep the screen awake up to 70 seconds - or until you lower your wrist after pressing it (if earlier).

Please try to uninstall Norton to see if you still get the blue screen. You can try using Norton Removal Tool: http://www.norton.com/nrt

If you get a blue screen after the removal of Norton, try update video drivers and see if that solves the problem. You can try to reinstall Norton after that.
