Nearly 3000 C200 No. sleep on the cover...

Run a 3000 C200 2FU with XP.  Had to install Windows XP from scratch.  Since this installation, close the cover is no longer puts the laptop on standby.  In the electrical panel, it has no other choice to "sleep" when you close the lid.  Just choice 'nothing' at the closing of the cover.  How to bring back this feature?  Is there a driver or something somewhere?  I looked on the section drivers and downloads and can't seem to find anything.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

After downloading and installing these drivers, restart and set the power options in the control panel... we're back to past to sleep when I close the lid.  Thanks for this solution!

  • Yoga 260 do not SLEEP when the lid is closed

    Hello

Sometimes when I close the lid off my Yoga 260 Windows 10 do not go to sleep.

The behavior is really weird because the red light on the cover flashes like when it is in "standby", but I can hear the rotating fan.

When I open the cover, it's even more bizarre. Windows are not locked and I am not asking for a password. The whole system is very laggy. The mouse moves in jumps, and there is not any response to keyboard or touchscreen. After a few seconds/minutes, the system is suddenly OK as nothing happened.

Is not happening all the time and I wasn't able to see any model, when this happens.

What should I do to get rid of this?

    Thx for the help.

I tried to disable the special function of Lenovo for rapid reactivation in 15 seconds after closing the lid and it seems to be OK now.

  • Is it possible to replace the cover of my laptop?

    Hello world

I've been using the HP Pavilion Dm4-1050 ca for one year, unfortunately the last time I dropped it and it's so bad that the case was cracked. It still works well but the screen now do not match with the body of the laptop properly, and a small part of the cover of the screen around the corner was broken. A small part in the corner of the screen also turn to black, but it is not a big problem.

Does anyone know where can I buy a case for your laptop to replace, or what I can send to guarantee even if it's my own fake? xD it's quite difficult for me to send it to the warranty as I bought it at the Canada and now I'm in England.

I would be very grateful if you know where I can buy it and how much it would cost xD

Thanks for your time and sorry for my bad English, I'm trying to improve in the near future lol.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to buy the case for display through HP. (unless you can find someone selling on ebay). You will need to send the unit to a repair that issue is fixed, and since he is a customer induced damage, there may be a fee for the replacement of parts.

  • Laptop Dell Studio 1555 w / Vista does not wake from sleep when the lid is open.

I have a laptop Dell Studio 1555 with Vista Premium 64-bit. Until last night, the laptop would run mode standby when I closed the lid and woke up when I opened the cover later. Yesterday I was downloading photos from a Canon camera via USB. I close the lid when I did. When I went to open the cover later the laptop screen remained in black and white. The power button is lit, but the only way I can get to meet is to hold the power button until it turns off completely, and then restart the laptop. A difference when the lid is closed, I think the power button will blink and turn off slowly while he was really in sleep. He remains on all the time now when the lid is closed. I tried to go into power management and put the laptop from sliding when the lid is closed, but has not made a difference.

  • Remove the cover on all in one office

I have a desktop HP all-in-one view 20. I can't get the back cover off to add ram. I have the 2 screws and the cover rises about 1/4 ", then that's it. I noticed a small hole in the lid that has a "lock" symbol Is there a tool to unlock the back cover?

Thank you. It does not help. You own a HP ENVY 20 - d117c TouchSmart all-in-One desktop PC.

As you loosen the two screws, turn each him until you hear a click five times. This means that they are completely loose.

From the edge of the lid near the base, lift the back cover upwards and remove it.

There is a video that I watched to see how it does, but it is a place that I can't provide you with a link to access.

  • U300s: The cover is bending...

Just got a new U300s and love it! The only thing I wonder about is the bending of the coverage. Everyone finds that, when the laptop is closed at the front near the lenovo logo aluminum easily flexes inward? Often times I'm going to pick it up and it flexes.

I'm afraid that this may cause display problems down the line

    Thank you very much!

Note from Moderator: Edition subject to the content of the game.

    jeepin06,

I tried a U300s in the lab today and I don't see what you mean - with the lid closed, you can bend the top of the lid in the front right corner where the logo is and towards the center of the LCD screen.  The rest of the cover appears to be relatively very solid.

But when the cover is open, I am unable to create no hangup of the LCD screen to produce a round surface distortion corresponding to my finger, unless I'm also favorable at the edge of the LCD screen to prevent it from moving.  In other words, if I squeeze the Assembly with a reasonable amount of force, I can see an area in front of my finger, however the amount force seems much longer we would be reasonable applies opening or closing the system.  I see no effect on the LCD screen while opening / closing.

Ultrabooks are deliberately thin and light.  Maybe the cover could be made thicker to eliminate, but probably the weight penalty or thickness which deprive it a little point of the design.  Maybe some filling material can be added to fill that space in the lid and make feel stiffer?

I don't see this as a problem, but certainly a fair comment and something that could affect the perception of how robust is the design.   No doubt appreciate your comments - will share with the team of the ultrabook.

  • Laptop will not go to sleep when the lid is closed

    Separated from this thread.

Same problem here. My settings say that my Toshiba will sleep when the lid is closed, but half the time is not asleep and I can feel it's hot and turns on the fan. I am so frustrated with this new laptop and Windows 8.1. Looks like too many bugs in the software or something. More I am working on the new laptop the more problems that I find, like screen discoloration as well. The forums are useless. I do what they say, and the problem is the same. Forget the call from Toshiba. Needless. Nobody will help unless you pay them money to subscribe. What customer service?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your concern here at the Microsoft Community forum. Let me help you with your concern.

This problem may occur because of any change in power on your laptop options. If the default is set to hibernation and standby modes, your laptop goes to sleep when you close the lid, but then the Hibernate timer comes in and wake up your computer first and trying to Hibernate. He cannot go to Hibernate directly from mode 'sleep'. Go into the power settings and either disable hibernation or set the timer on a higher value.

To apply the same setting to all plans:

    1. Open Power Options by pressing the Windows key + X, clicking Control Panel, click system and security, and then clicking Power Options.
    2. On the Select a power plan page, click choose the cover.
    3. On the page define power buttons and turn on password protection , next to when I close the lid, choose what you want your laptop to do, both when it is running on battery and when it's plugged in.
    4. Click on save changes.

Tip: To save battery power and quickly resume working, select sleep. Sleep is a power saving state that allows a computer quickly resume the operation of full power (usually in seconds) when you want to start working again.

To apply a setting to a specific regime:

    1. Open Power Options by pressing the Windows key + X, clicking Control Panel, click system and security, and then clicking Power Options.
    2. On the Select a power plan page, click change plan settings for the plan you want to change.
    3. On the change settings for the plan page, click change advanced power settings.
    4. Advanced settings tab, expand it cover and the Power button, action lid, choose what you want your mobile PC to do when you close the lid, for when it runs on battery and when it is plugged in, and then click OK.

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.
