  Network Linksys WRT310N and Xerox Phaser 8560 printer. Windows XP SP3.

  I finally found the problem... not with the router itself, but with the service of Pure Networks Platform Service that is installed with the Easylink Advisor software. I have disabled the software and the service, and now everything works beautifully with my printer... He sleeps on the calendar, stay asleep and wake up perfectly when I print something.

  Easy things first.  Turn off the router and the printer.  Turn on the router and wait 3 minutes.  Turn on the printer and see if it connects to your router.  Status?

  If no joy, temporarily disable all security in the router.  Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password.  Status now?

  If OK, go back and add WPA2-AES with your simple password.  Status now?

  Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try channel 1 first and then the other one at a time.  Make sure that the printer and the router are spaced at least 5 feet.

  However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

  It would probably help if you reinstalled Windows, but this is a drastic measure and almost certainly useless to take in response to this error.

  Assuming that you have an up-to-date antivirus application and have recently scanned withMalwareBytes Antimalware and SUPERAntiSpyware as you are reasonably confident that your computer is free of malware, the most likely reasons for the print spooler not running are a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.

  I have a HP eStation 510a and the detachable tablet will not stay long enough to do something with it. As soon as it turns on it immediately turns off and then turns back on. I followed the steps to do a factory reset on it and successfully completed, but it still does the same thing. The printer itself works fine, it's just the tablet which is defective.

• Printer will not connect via USB

  HP lj1022 printer will not connect not not via the USB port after the installation of the new driver upgrade hp lj1020/1022 for Windows 7 (64-bit). Driver seems to install properly until the moment where he is asked to connect the USB cable. Then he hangs up. HP lj 1020 printer appears in the display to the dashboard as the default printer. Computer recognizes the printer as hp printer lj1022 but in another "device not specified Panel when and only when the printer is on and the USB cable is connected." When printing, nothing ever comes from queue.

  Diagnosis is only that something is stuck in the queue and remove the task from the queue, but does not. Diagnostic shows no problem.

  The lj1022 printer accepts data from two other computers, as well on Windows xP and using the same cables. Three other USB ports have been tested on the new Windows 7 computer without results. The USB ports on the Windows 7 computer accept keyboards, mouse and flash memories wireless dongle without problem. The Windows 7 computer also sends data to a printer wireless with no problems.

  I just bought a new HP printer and set up on my iMac to print. After a LOT of messing around FINALLY got it works, BUT a day later upgrades arrived to update my iOS X 10.9.3 with a simultaneous upgrade of the software driver for the printer. I duly installed at once – but now, regardless of what I do the printer will not work. The computer can be seen as it is showing ink etc. levels and said he printed and I can print test pages, but it has not allowed me to print from Word, Excel, Web or PDF!  I tried to uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall those of the HP Web, which I suppose would be the 'old' - but still no luck. I need this job and am close to tears - any help would be appreciated. I also tried deleting and reinstalling Office for Mac... NB it prints beautifully and effortlessly to my husband's PC.

  I saw your post about not being able to use the printer completely after a few updates. I will do my best to help you with this!

  First, try the following steps:

  1. Mac OS X: how to reset the printing system
  2. Repair disk permissions
  3. Restart your computer
  4. Add the printer: full function and driver-OS X 10.9 Mavericks software
