New laptop screen went horizontal

Was working on the new laptop from Samsung with Windows 8 and the screen turned horizontal. The mouse pad is also working on the side. I don't know if this is related to the laptop or windows.

The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
an arrow key.

Rotate using these keys.

  • HP Pavilion e17 - 148 ca: [URGENT] need response on the laptop screen went blank question

Hello there, this is the Prince of the heavenly Crown of Canada here.

I've been a loyal user of HP consumer level laptop for 2 years.

It seems that there is a problem with my laptop screen display.

For my part, this is the first time this kind of problem has occurred.

For some reason, in my current (well, now its my last) session, my screen became totally blank on me and turned black, as if the laptop was in a sort out of power status, however, the power of the laptop was always and until the issue has suddenly decided to occur before my eyes , I had been using the laptop and was even working on a coding operating... some of you may know me as the creator of the heavenly System.ini Crown Configuration file.

Apparently, it is a known issue with HP Laptop, and I don't know if HP is actively focusing on the question of setting so that it does not become an inconvenience to other users of HP laptops or buyers.

Is there a known solution as to how to fix this kind of problem? This is very critical and I was in the middle of the tent to save the rest of my code in Notepad on my desk, but I would speculate that asides from the 2 files I could save, the rest would have gone unless I would be able to resume my last session which I highly doubt at this stage.

If someone could please let me know as soon as possible, I would appreciate it a lot.

  • Computer HP laptop 15r003sv: a pixel dead on a new laptop screen

    Hi all.

I buy the computer laptop 15r003sv on July 2014.

At the same time as I have buy an extended warranty for 3 years by the dealer, that is to say I have warranty until July 2017

Before 1 month straight hinje began to loosen up.

The dealer from whom I bought the laptop sent to hp for repair.

On Friday, I get the laptop back they change not only the hinge loosen, but the screen of the computer laptop everything.

(I think is easier to change the entire display only to open plastics of the screen and change the hinge)

The problem now is that the new display has a dead pixel. (I guess at this point I had bad luck my previous view has no defective pixels)

What should I do, do you thing that there is a possibility to change again thε display with a new one without the dead pixels? or it's too?

Unfortunately, having a single dead pixel does not enter the minimum display of replacement.

  • My laptop screen went completely black when I plugged in the charger. Help, please!

My dough went critical at seven percent (7%) last night and I went down to the charger plugged it. The screen is totally black, but its still on.

PS. It is not a problem of screen brightness.

    A concerned customer.

You need to make a diagnosis.

If your laptop has a VGA video port, try connecting a monitor to it.

Have you tried a full stop and restart?  Stop, remove the battery.  Hold the button for 7 seconds.  Now, without the battery, a power.  If this brings a screen, stop it again and re - install the battery and try again.

Until you can provide more specific information, no one will be able to help you.

I can still use my laptop (barely), but the face became darker.

    How it brighten up?

    This means my battery low?

Sounds more like the backlight is dying/dead.

If you put down and back from suite - how does the Pre-windows screens (POSTS and BIOS if you will) watch?  Too dark?

  • On NEW laptop keyboard does not work after that the screen keyboard has been activated and then deactivated.

Look at my friend got a new laptop and went through the whole upward. the on-screen keyboard has been activated which invalidates the real keyboard when the on-screen keyboard has been disabled the real keyboard has NO return. If this is a bug... Fix it. This is not a driver issue, it is not a user error. Stop giving people answers, trying to pretend like it's not not the OS when most people already know that it is.

I'm sorry, but I didn't not new meant only one day.  And when I got my new laptop, one of the first things I did was to create a point of files, even a day later I had a restore to use - point and that was possible here as well.  I'm sorry it wasn't the case.

If the system restore option is not available, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, you can try to go into the BIOS during the startup (the key appropriate to push appear on the screen to enter the boot menu or boot installation - try them both in turn if both appear. It is possible that the BIOS contains an option to disable the keyboard (which may have been activated by the keyboard on the screen but not changed when disable you the on-screen keyboard) and you may need to re-enable manually.  There is a slight possibility, but it is an option to try.

Another option to try is to set up a new user account that has never used the keyboard on the screen and see if the regular keyboard works when you connect to this account.  If so, you can simply treat the original as a corrupt account account and use the following procedures to complete the transfer.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.

I hope that one of these aid procedures.  I'm sorry if they seem to 'generic', but we do not really know what is the problem - especially since the system is new.  We try and identify the cause and fix the problem at the same time using the procedures available to us.  I suspect there's a registry tweak will correct this problem, but I went through the whole registry, and although I found several referencers keyboard, I could find no which seemed to control or not activate the main laptop keyboard (though it has been in one of the entries that has been encoded in binary that I couldn't read).  It's possible someone who knows more about the registry will respond to this issue with a proposal to amend (or perhaps another solution).

I hope that one of the solutions I proposed works.  Please post back in all cases we will know whether or not to continue searching for an answer.

    Good luck!

  • I just bought a new laptop, the day of set-aside accidentally bump my classmate in my camera and it fell to the ground, got brocken screen, what will I do?

I just bought a new laptop, mac pro 13 Inc. with retina book model no A1502, exactly on the day set-aside, it broke because my classmate accidentally jostled and he fell to the ground, the screen had a crack, I went to the store to ask for help, they just said to buy a new I felt so bad, what should I do?

There should be a possibility outside replacement in the event of accidental damage warranty. Go to this store and ask them if there is any chance to get out of warranty repair.

  • Wanted: Laptop set up and screen went almost dark and frozen

I set my laptop this morning, downloaded Security, office etc., no problem. Went to get a drink, came back and the screen is almost black with stripes running it. It does meet. Can anyone advise me because I am currently £1000 down and is not happy. It's the first HP I have owned so not familiar with the forum. Thank you.

If it's a box of HP, of that there is no way the laptop model is not on the box. Look again. On the side of the box should be a sticker with the model number and specifications. I'm a United States know John Lewis is a huge retailer in the United Kingdom and probably offers a return for replacement or refund that I suggest you do if possible. It is not a good sign for a new laptop start life like this.

The easiest way would be to put his HARD drive in a box that connects to the computer by USB.

This is just an example - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hard-Drive-Caddy-Case-Enclosure/dp/B003MVW2SM

You probably have a 2.5 HDD "because I know that all laptops do.  If you need to buy an enclosure for a 2.5 drive "[not a disk 3.5" that could come from a desktop computer].

Almost all cases derive the power to drive the HARD drive to the USB itself [rather than an external power].  If you see one that needs an external power supply, then you are probably looking to the wrong thing.

You need to know if the HARD drive is IDE or SATA.  It depends on the age of the computer.  Your computer's manual should tell you or you can whip the HARD drive just to have a look.

This Eizo has a normal resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. I expect not to see a lot of benefits of using the GPU. You really see the advantage to screens that are at least 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) or more. On small screens, you can see some benefits with smoother updates if you ONLY use the base sliders to develop. If you use brushes, turning on the GPU can actually slow you down a bit. In most cases, loading images in develop is also slower when you activated! There are a few illustrative notes to an engineer from Adobe that you can read here: notes for Lightroom CC GPU (2015) in order to better understand what is happening. Currently, in most cases, I recommend leaving off the coast. I think that Adobe is trying to improve and have more cards supported, but it is not yet completely there.
