New T450, won't wake up after extended sleep

I got my new t450 3 days ago and everything was fine, apart from a problem installing Windows 10. Now however whenever I try to wake up my laptop from sleep, that he will not wake up until I hook it up to a charger.

The strange thing is that it is only after staying asleep for an extended period. If I wake him up after 10 minutes, the amount of the fine, an hour later, but the power button flashes, the fan will click, but it's going to be it. It will repeat these 2 actions but do nothing.

When I plug it into a charger but it works perfectly normally. Whenever I hold the power button to put it turns off and try to wake up again, if its still on its battery always completely insensitive sound.

This question seems to be popping up with other models to as a brief look shows forums, someone at - it a solution?

  • New place doesn't wake up after going to sleep

I'm frustrated with my new coming 11 Pro, because 9 times out of 10, each time that I put it to go to the mode 'sleep', or he falls asleep, he wakes up not again. It seems to go to sleep very well and I push the button once to wake him up and vibrates it immediately for half a second. But then it never wakes or turn on screen for several minutes. I try the power button again to longer and eventually it starts and all my programs are closed and the computer restarted unexpectedly. What could be the cause of the computer to not again wake up after sleeping? It happens that my keyboard is connected or not, but if he plays well, then pressing the button start he wakes up. (It is rare that he wakes up actually sleep).

  • HP Pavilion 13-a113cl: computer HP Pavilion laptop won't wake up from his sleep by the keyboard or mouse

I don't know if it is good advice to post this question in, but I'm having the same problem with two a113cl-13 laptops HP Pavilion running Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). The issue has to do with the awakening of the machines to sleep using the key on the keyboard or the mouse. I'm not having problems with them to wake up from sleep using the button of power or when I open or close them.

I checked the BIOS and power settings are not there. (Version of BIOS F.32)

I have checked boxes to allow devices to wake the computer in the management section of power without success.

I changed the Intel MEI driver with 9.5 instead of 11 which is usually installed without success.

I don't know if there is a problem with the BIOS and Windows 10 or something driver associated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @jpk717,

    Thanks for the information!

Since you have formatted the drive, you must be unable to return to the old operating system, unless you use recovery media.  You can find your product here recovery media:

    USB - Windows 8.1 Recovery Kit 64B

You can try to use the recovery media to install the original operating system and see if the problem is resolved.  If you choose not to go down this path, you can try to re - install Windows 10, using the media creation tool.

    I hope this helps.

What does this error message say?  Photos crash or exit gracefully?

Where your iPhoto library that Library stored? In your pictures folder, or on an external drive?

Try to copy the library of Photos directly without Time Machine. Connect the two Macs using your network and copy the old Mac to the new library, well as signed in on your new Mac.

  • Re: Satellite P500 - 1C7 do not wake up after adding memory

    Hello
    I replaced the original memory of 2 x 4 GB 2x2gb.

It works fine except that the PC doesn't wake up after a break.
    I have win7 64.
    How is that possible?

The laptop worked before adding new modules?
If so, then the problem could be related to new modules
In this case I recommend that you test the other modules

I use Kingston modules has never had any problems using these memory modules.

  • operating system is not found in my new T450s

    Hi friends,

I just bought my new T450s of the United States. It is pre-installed with win7 64 bit, and I upgraded to win10. After that it is upgraded to win 10, I tried to restore factory settings. Unfortunately, he failed with an error. Then I gave up and just restarted the laptop, but it cannot be turned on more with the message "an operating system was not found. I tried several times, it turns out the same result. I tried the F11 key to restoring and has not yet. The recovery disk should be destoried. In this case, what should I do? Can I bring to the Lenovo repair shop to fix it?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

If your recovery partition disappeared, you need a recovery media.

laptop won't wake up from sleep mode

    Hello

    Here's the quickfix.

Set the laptop to sleep instead of Hibernate. Portable computers may have problems with the Hibernate function. Here are the instructions to navigate:

    1. go in Classic view of Control Panel. (Ctrl + ESC, then type 'control' to quickly control panel access)

    2. double-click on the icon power options

    3. click on "change when the computer sleeps.

    4. click on "change power avancΘs."

Go to the menu of sleep and

    value "Allow hybrid sleep": OFF

    * Set the parameter "Hibernate after": NEVER

Note: You need to type the following in the field, what is not there drop down to select.

This is most likely the issue and the resolution. However, here are a few other troubleshooting steps if you have any questions:

  • U2415, Nvidia GTX 950, monitor wake up after the deep sleep?

I have two-desktop monitor. We're U2415, connected via mini - dp-> DP and the other is U2311H, connected via DVI on my Strix Nvidia Asus gtx950 video card.

When starting PC, DVI monitor is always first & fastest even if it's my secondary monitor, but this isn't a problem.

However, the real problem is when to wake up my PC after monitor deep sleep DP (30 minutes, several hours or more) won't wake up at all. It stays black. I have to manually, press the 'power' 2 times before monitor finally wake up and restoration of 2 desktop screen.

Before NVIDIA, I got an AMD card and this was never a problem (although I used to connect to U2415 via HDMI). I used the tool to remove all previous video drivers. I'm also using the latest Nvidia drivers, 10 x 64 windows.

I must point out that when you wake up to a short sleep mode, everything is fine. If I wake up monitors in less than 30 minutes, or so they work as should. I also activated 1.2 DP see if the problem will be solved.

I am ready to suggestions, what I should check then in Windows, monitor settings etc. ?

    Thank you!

Looks like the Nvidia driver is slow to launch the DP communication CDM from deep sleep causing the monitor to think that nothing is connected. You could try to test a DP to DP cable and see if the problem persists. One solution would be to connect in this way =
NVIDIA GTX950 DVI out--> DVI to DVI cable--> DVI U2311H in
NVIDIA GTX950 out HDMI--> HDMI to HDMI cable--> U2415 HDMI in

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Computer won't turn on after the mode 'sleep'

My computer acted funny lately when it goes into mode 'sleep', and I have to reboot it until I can do something new. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I've read the other posts on this problem. Anyway, my keyboard has a sleep button that I brush occasionally, that causes all this to happen. However, I brushed it today, and instead to go just in a coma, the computer entered into mode 'sleep' (the light was orange, noise died down), then woke up to the top in a way where the fan on, but the light went off. I've forced to close and then turned back on. Now when I turn it on, the light and fan both going on, but the monitor remains off, and none of the lights on the keyboard lights up. Is there a simple solution to this, or it will need repairs?

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative.
