NFTS.sys of blue screen on reboot after uninstalling McAfee VirusScan Plus

On my Windows XP SP3 computer, I want to uninstall McAfee VirusScan Plus and reinstall because there are errors in the program.  Whenever I have uninstall and then reboot, I get a blue screen with nfts.sys showed that the problem, but with a constantly changing code.  At this point, the computer does not start even in safe mode.  I got my drive C to a backup disk for the computer will once again and uninstalled McAfee several times in different ways, but end up with the same problem.

I ran chkdsk a couple of times and it fixes it says, they were mistakes.

McAfee said that it is not their problem.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Sigh...

Try going to this link, SkyDrive tells me that the file cannot be shared with me, we must
go back and on the right side of the screen, click "Edit permissions" and drag it up to "everyone (public) and click Save."

"I hope that I will not have to be the one to write some ' how the message on your SkyDrive files" installation instructions - I think it would be a Microsoft support technician job.

Here's the official page of SkyDrive.

This isn't your fault, MFL100 :) - you have not been given adequate instructions.

  • Qosmio F20 blue screen of death after stop

    Hello

I get the blue screen of death after a stop on my laptop Qosmio F20.

    The error is IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I guess that's somehow connected to the tv tuner card.

I tried to restore the system - not good. After the restoration for some time, it was OK. But then again appeared BSOD.

Sometimes, it also appears when I connect USB hard drives or even when I insert the DVD disc.
And for shure every time I stop to laptop.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

    This is my personal opinion;
    I think it's a memory problem!

Why, because it of very difficult to reproduce this error message and it looks like this BSOD happens without the use of hardware or special software

I have gogoled for this error message and I had a lot of success!
I read in various forums on this issue, and especially a fault memory has been one reason why the BSOD appeared.

But someone suggested to disabled the pagefile... Probably, you should check out these tips:

    Hello

Could be a nuisance pilot. Update your drivers manually looking at system manufacturer and
Sites of the manufacturer of the device.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, this leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who will be generally
be older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it) and
Then, get new ones manually if you wish.

  • Blue screen of death after installing Windows updates that are automatically downloaded

My computer got up until I get the blue screen whenever I try to install a Windows Update automatically downloaded.  The list of updates pending installation are KB978207, KB974470, KB971644, KB972270, KB905866, KB960362 and KB890830.  The first time that I have updated I just had the system install 7 all at the same time.  I got the blue screen and the computer may not restart normally.  Made the system restore and I tried to install each update one at a time.  7 all finished by gives me the blue screen with no reboot successfully after one of them.  I don't know what to do next.

  • Blue screen of death after the update installed at startup upward.

I have windows xp sp3 after installed updates don't know which ones, because the installed when I stop and 52 of them there I now get a blue screen of death which says:

    Stop: c000007b {bad image}

The application or DLL? \c:\windows\system32\winsrv.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

I can't go to the safe mode get the same error and same with the last known good configuration. I can't even to safe mode command prompt, system, or debug mode recovery still giving me the same error. I repaired windows 3 times already and the same thing happens each time after that some update that I don't know he messes all this. Give me advice. I have antivirus Iola system mechanic. I think just to wipe the entire disk and do a clean install if you do not have anything else to tell me I'll do it, but I don't know if that even the problem will be solved because there seems to be a problem of windows software update. I also notice from the internet explorer 7 installed it stops working a few flashes upwards on you whenever you try to open it up if it's maybe part of the problem too. I do not plan to let internet 7 install go into all this time.

Install the updates one at a time or 5 at the time may not be a bad idea.  Then when it breaks watch you and see if one of those is eager to replace your winsrv.dll file.

You said you DO or DO NOT have to System Mechanic configured to run at startup?  Sometimes after installation of the updates, who see the new files (and if they are obsolete), can interpret the new legitimate files to be a threat.  If you could get started and uninstall that (at least temporarily) that would eliminate this possibility of this equation of many variables.

You should make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console.

You see, Microsoft support engineers won't tell you how to do this either - since there is not an article of KB Microsoft Bing and link to.

If you have a SATA drive, which will give you another challenge because you need to maybe get into BIOS and temporarily change the disk other than SATA configuration mode so the Recovery Console will be able to see, replace the suspicious winsrv.dll file, change the SATA drive and reboot...

First, do the XP Recovery CD of Console and if you are able to use a system of work to ensure that the CD you made at least boots (you don't have to "do" something with it), which would be a good thing.

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

  • Blue screen on startup after installation of service pack 3

Original title: big problems with Windows service pack 3

My pc runs xp edition media with a processor intel dc. I had to reformat using recovery discs cleaning all ok using microsoft update until after that load successfully and the installation of Service pack 3. Start theres a brief flash of B.S.O.D. then it goes straight to load the page option of safe mode. Startup journal raises a whole series of errors. drivers of not start tearing my hair on it!

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

  • WRkrn.sys causing blue screen failure

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section, it's more a software problem...

My brother-in-law bought a Dell Inspiron 660 s return in 2012 from Best Buy, so he came with already installed Webroot (I don't have the product keys or codes for this). Provided with Windows 8, but he has since upgraded to Win10. He contacted me to watch for him because I work in it. Apparently, he did an uninstall (not sure how he did it) and the driver "WRkrn.sys" seems to be leftovers. After a Windows Update the computer restarted and now it goes to the dreaded blue screen of death. Until he comes to blue screen, the Dell logo comes and below it says "Prepare the automatic repair" I don't even have the chance to hit F8 to try to get safe mode. Then it goes to the blue screen that says: "your PC/device needs to be repaired. The operating system could not be loaded because the critical system driver is missing or contains errors. »

    File: \\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\WRkrn.sys

    Error code: 0xc000007b

You will need to use recovery tools (it has the drivers & disk utilities and who cannot start). I looked at this file and it is related to the Webroot antivirus.

Press ENTER to try again (does nothing)

Press F8 for boot parameters (goes to another blue screen with options that do nothing)

Press ESC for the parameters of the UEFI firmware (which brings me to the BIOS).

Then it goes to the blue screen if I tap F8...

NONE of these options no matter what. They all bring back me to the blue screen of death origin. So I can't even in safe mode to try to delete this file. The only thing I can do is get into the BIOS. It doesn't have a recovery disk, one disk with what he came is software & disk utilities (cannot start to that). Can someone help me with this please? Especially trying to get into safe mode in order to remove this driver and do not have to treat more than Webroot. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the pictures on the side.

I just wanted to someone else having a similar problem and SpeedStep know that was NOT a hardware problem. The hard disk was not corrupt. It's just a bad file WRkrn.sys (a Webroot anti-virus software). I saved money by starting in mini Windows XP using Hiren boot CD, renamed this file corrupted, restarted in Win10 successfully with no blue screen and then uninstalled Webroot. Problem solved.

    But thanks for your suggestion.

  • Satellite A215-S4757 blue screen & startup failure after HARD drive partitioning

I just bought a Satellite A215-S4757 a week ago & I tried to divide my hard drive coz, I was only one partion (250 GB) using acronis disk director.

After that I got the blue screen and now I failed to start and I tried all the options to repair my windows or load in SafeMode to no avail coz it crashes just from the window of microsoft corporation.

I tried to reinstall windows vista with the cd but still does not!
    pls someone helo me :(

    Hello

Creator of disc of Acronis does not for me but I know for sure that you can split the capacity of the HARD drive into two partitions with rendering recovery DVDs. Start your laptop with recovery DVDs and check the option to install it.

You must have a mobile US model. I am from Europe and I don't know about you how it works with the recovery media in the United States, but it should be similar to the European and because of that it must be an option to divide the capacity of the HARD disk with two partitions.

Please try again. It should work somehow.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with my Skype where it will make my computer BSOD after a while in a call, it only occurs during Skype calls, not during other communications programs of voice as the voice of steam call and the blue screen is more likely to happen when I'm in Firefox.

The blue screen error I get is "clock interrupt was not receieved a secondary processor in the time interval allowed."

    Any help would be appreciated.

I did clean install applicable drivers and even tried to Exchange pieces of equipment (including the negotiation on an old CPU and RAM value) and no change.

  • Blue screen issue started after the warranty more

Hi I bought a HP laptop and exactly after the warranty period, there is a problem.

And provided HP customer support a lot of drivers to install but not working.

Seems that if we extended the guarantee we will get the right driver to install.

My previous laptop was HP, so I got another. and now, I shall not repeat this error.

    Any soln for blue screen.

    Kind regards...

    Depends on the blue screen.

You are able to write code for the blue screen error?

BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) tend to be caused by software problems, so there may be an easy solution to the problem. However, they can also be caused by serious hardware problems that may be more difficult to correct. In all cases, we will need the code error to determine what went wrong.
