No Audio output HDMI signal

I am running Windows Vista SP1 on a laptop HP Pavilion.  I would like to use a TV high definition as an external display for slideshows read and other audi/visual media on the mobile phone.

I connected the laptop and the TV via their HDMI ports with a HDMI cable and I get a very good quality image on the TV, but no sound.

I used all the options on the TV for audio and everything seems OK.  So, I suspect that the problem is at the end of the computer.  Does anyone have suggestions for how I might solve the problem?

Thank you

After trying all the combinations configuration listed here in every permutation in the Sun, my resolution was to "* roll back the NVIDIA device Drriver."

At one point, I had accepted an update General-NVIDIA Microsoft pilot. It was my mistake. Make sure you have the driver that was created for your computer model.

My laptop is a HP DV9000 under Vista SP2

I could go to the control panel-> Device Manager-> display-> NVIDA-> driver and select 'dismantling '.

That he solved it for me.

Make sure that you first, configure a restore point in case is not your solution.

Good luck.

  • MX800 No. audio on HDMI 2

    Hello

I have a simple problem which does not make much sense, we must take a video and audio output of a MX800 so that we can record a conference and it is provide to be more difficult than expected.

The firmware is TC7.3.4 and we find that no matter what we do, we cannot get audio on HDMI 2, which according to the manual should be supported, we can get audio on HDMI 1.

    The config looks OK

    * c xConfiguration Audio 2 HDMI output level: 0
    * c xConfiguration Audio output HDMI 2 Mode: on

I understand that one of the DSP audio or perhaps multiple will be used for audio integrated on the system, but as the manual shows only 1 is used for each other should be available.

We should expect audio out HDMI 2?

    See you soon

    Dave

    Hello

There is no audio output 2 HDMI of MX800 single right now.   This is a documentation error that will be corrected.

The associated API will be very probably removed in future versions of the software.

  • How to have separate video and audio over HDMI output Lenovo Thinkpad T410

I have lenovo T410 and wanted to connect it to my TV high definition. Earlier had problems, but after buying SIIG Displayport to HDMI its job very well. In fact the video and Audio can now be read / listened to on my HDTV via HDMI. However, I have a separate 2.1 computer speaker system, which has much better sound output than my HDTV. Now if I want to see the video on HD TV via HDMI and audio output to speakers for laptop (connected to the 3.5 mm wired 2.1 speaker system), how to do that. I went to SmartAudio settings in the Control Panel, but there is no option of separates HDMI audio to the speakers only.

I don't want to buy another cable with RGA Audio Converter 3.5 mm female port. Please suggest a direct solution.

in win 7 do a right-click on the speakers on your lower right corner icon, select playback devices, click on speakers, click on set default, click OK and it should work (sound must come from your computer speakers or the computer 3, 5mm jack)

  • Add TV LCD LG as an audio output device when connected with HDMI

When I connected my laptop to my TV via HDMI, the sound came through the television. But I went to the audio output of the laptop by accidentally turning off the TV as a device on the selection screen of the "playback devices". Now I want to spend my audio back to my TV, but the device is no longer an option. How it add or repair?

    Hello

    Method 1.
Please update the video card drivers, but also the audio drivers and then check if you have the ability to change the audio device by default.

Update your sound driver in Device Manager:
    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel
    b. click on system and Maintenance
    c. under Device Manager, click on devices and equipment display
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    d. expand sound, video and game controllers
    e. right click on your Audio Controller, and then click Properties
    f. Select the driver tab
    g. click the Update Driver button.
    h. Select the option automatically search for an updated driver

Windows will now look for an update for your Audio drivers locally and on the internet and then will guide you through the process of installing the driver.

  • U2414H - Audio from HDMI source output?

    Hello

Looking for someone with a Dell U2414H and perhaps even a PS4 (or any HDMI device) to confirm something for me. I find in myself a get for use with a PS4 but have heard conflicting reports on the audio output on the U2414H port. I wanted to plug PS4 via HDMI to the U2414H and then plug a pair of speakers to the audio output. However, I said the only outputs audio output audio port provided to the monitor via the USB, sounds strange to me, but I wasn't able to find anywhere to confirm that it generates the audio from the HDMI ports too. Many thanks for any help. I hope that I have just to be misinformed as would like to order a.

Sorry, I meant to come back here and update this. I had someone else confirms to me away so went ahead and bought one. I can certainly confirm that some audio goes in making hdmi port goes out the audio 3.5 mm on the monitor port. PS3 well at least that's all, I used with it.

  • No audio output because High Definition Audio Driver cannot start (Envy 17 Quad) HDMI

Since I bought this laptop two months ago, the HDMI audio has always been inconsistent. I remember working once or twice, but there were several times when my audio driver recognizes that an HDMI cable is connected. Yes, I tried everything that is obvious: computer shutdown, control devices disabled in playback devices, drivers, etc.. Now, when I plug an HDMI cable, the video is fine but the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC does not recognize HDMI / my TV. The High Definition Audio Driver says it cannot start, but I could not reinstall or find a download from the HP Web site. How can I get audio through HDMI to my TV?

Well, I think I have it solved. I have plugged the HDMI cable and uninstalled the generic audio driver broke, then scanned for the hardware changes. Audio driver reappeared in the work and there was audio cable to the tv.

  • The macmini split audio video hdmi using mini stereo out?

    Hello

I need to play a dvd for the first time next week - for a public event

using the mac mini mid-2011, i5 2.3 ghz, superdrive, yosemite

using hdmi connector as the video signal on a vizio tv and...

I need the audio output through Jack for headphones (stereo mini) for an audio mixer.

Y at - it no problem with that or everything simply select the audio output from the audio out of system preferences?

I guess that it is the same thing as my Macbook Pro, where I did just that - if you plug the cable into the headphone jack, it should work without needing to select the output in the Prefs. If you check with a helmet, you must confirm this. Having a video output running will not affect this.

  • Digital input to Toshiba 46TL-> no analog audio output to amplifier

    Hi all

When I connect a video source (e.g. computer laptop via DLNA) to my 46TL, output TV audio analog (red/white taken connected to an amplifier) does not work.

    It does, however, watching television.

Is it possible to configure the TV to read the audio data from digital input (HDMI/DLNA) to the analog output?

    Thank you for the help

Not quite what series of TLxxx you have, but for example the TL938 supports a digital (optical) audio output port that provides a digital audio signal.
Why n t connect the amplifier to the TV using this Jack?

Connectors for component video / audio to the rear of the TV are the ports of ENTRY and not the OUTPUT ports. So, you can send an audio signal to the TV and not the amplifier output.

  • Predator G9-591-70XR - Audio output

I recently bought a predator G9-591 with GTX 980 m graphics card. When I connect the laptop with my home theater system (which in turn conencts to a TV) via an HDMI cable, everything was great and the audio output is through output Audio Intel. But when I run the game, the sound doesn't come out of the Home Theater system more, according to the portable speaker.

I guess it's because when I play the game, the phone goes from integrated graphics Intel at GTX980m. I couldn't find a Nvidia high definition Audio System output (both in the Strait and the Device Manager), Realtek (the speaker), and output Audio Intel (integrated graphics card I think).

That is why I would ask that

    (1) is the GTX980m in the laptop has audio output function? If so, how can I activate it?

    (2) if not in above, can I connect my TV via the display Port and connect the Home Theater via HDMI, so using the display to the video signal output Port and HDMI for audio output signal? Would be the integrated graphics card Intel disabled when switched to GTX980m and not able to output audio?

In light of the laptop is not S/PDIF output, I don't know he was looking for is a way I can output sound via a digital output channel 5.1.

Thank you all for your response. I have re-solved the problem myself.

Turns out that the graphics card of 980 m is attached to the output Display Port and integrated graphics Intel is set to HDMI output. I connected my Home Theatre to my laptop via display Port, which in turn connected to the TV, all is well again, and I can get 5.1 sound when playing games.

  • How to change the audio output for the metronome

    Hello

I would like to send the metronome (and speech signals) for monitors to the scene in the ear.

I understand that I can do this in MainStage using different output for the above titles vs. the rest of the 'Concert '.

I tried to follow the instructions of the Manual:

Change the audio output for the sound of the metronome

    1. Choose the MainStage > Preferences > General.
    2. In the section of metronome on the general tab, choose another audio output on the shortcut menu to exit.

    PROBLEM

    1. on the general tab, only the outputs 1-2 are available/selectable (likely, these are also by default for all "Concert")

    2. Why is this process in the manual if it is not executable (without doing something to another additional Set up)?

    3. it's probably among the requirements of setting up more critical even easier for using MainStage with a live band, so why am I having to ask for help at all!

Rant on (its been a long day)

Grateful for any help to solve cela. I guess I can send the metronome (such as a click track) and speech signals on the same outputs, which are separated from the rest of the Concert... or should I change the outputs on the other tracks and keep the outputs 1-2 for the metronome marks / voice?

Thanks in advance for all advice and my apologies for my frustration. JM

To access the output audio, you need an audio interface with several outputs.
