signal through HDMI or recognize I have connected my TV. (in the order.. screen display resolution Panel... I support on detect I get 'another display not detected)

any ideas on how to use my TV, so I can output / watch movies

The best option is VGA output of the computer to the TV. But you will need a stereo audio cable separated from Sockets RCA l/r to your TV.

    Hello

I have a problem with the conector HDMI to my new laptop, I have bougth 2 weeks ago.
The laptop detects no HDMI port. When I conect the laptop to a TV or monitor on a different pc, any of these detects anything.

I tried to update a lot of drivers, old and new drivers Nvidia display drivers Intel... And I also do the 4 recovery DVDs, to restore the laptop to factory settings.

All this without any solution. When I press Fn + F5, only there is the option of the LCD screen.

I intend to use the guarantee to repair the laptop, because I think it's a hardware problem.

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think you should use the recovery discs that you made in the past.
Retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings and check if the HDMI would work again.

And of course: it is possible that your HDMI cable is not correct.

  • No signal found by HDMI or DVI monitor. Monitor detects the VGA signal very well.

That is the problem. I used to get a signal from the HDMI cable or the cable DVi on my old monitor.  Then, the signal was there sometimes, and then it isn't.  Now my new monitor does not have an HDMI or DVI signal.  He finds the signal to the VGA and that works.  Any ideas?  Myself and a few others have no idea on how to solve this problem >

    Hello, billiardsnut

You use a DVI or HDMI adapter?

Assuming you are using a straight DVI-> DVI or HDMI-> HDMI Cable, try to turn off the computer and turn off the monitor, connect the DV or HDMI, then turn them both.

Some video cards will not dynamically change on its own, following the steps above will generally establish the proper output.

In addition, since you mention on your old monitor that it is intermittent, it might be that the digital (DVI/HDMI) port on your graphics card is a failure.

  • Can I use my Switch SW3-013-1566 as a monitor of the camera using the HDMI port?

I did research on this scenario but see no mention of the possibility of using my Acer

SW3-013-1566 tablet as a digital monitor for my Canon 7 d DSLR camera. If anyone knows how this can be done please let me know and which downloadable programs I could use.

    Thank you

Well, according to this video , you can. You use the USB connection and software from Canon. You wouldn't be able with the HDMI port without any other additional hardware to do the video cpture.

I want to detect and use the video entering via the HDMI port on the computer. I was told the HDMI port was not set, but I can't seem to find the signal or the video.  Any suggestions?

As Tom SC replied, you must contact the company that manufactured your computer.  In general, the ports HDMI on most computers is an out-bound port, send video / digital audio output.

You should probably use a video capture card that can capture from HDMI source,

  • DV6 1362nr HDMI Port is no longer detected and does not while he was

Hello, I have a 1362nr laptop dv6 that I bought last year. Since I've owned this laptop I tried repeatedly to get the HDMI port to function. Once I could get to recognise there was a different view (toshiba LCD 1280 x 720), he couldn't so he can send a signal to it. Now, I've updated my computer laptop for windows 7 ultimate, installed all the drivers from the hp site and the laptop is even more recognizes that it has a HDMI port. I looked a the driver for it with no luck. But even if I found it, there is always the question of work or not. Thanks for any idea that you can give me.

    -Mike

If you have done this and updated the BIOS and the video - and then back into support and make them send it and make them specifically test the port - (have you tried a different cable right?)   ...

  • Satellite X 200-problem resolution HDMI port

    Hello

    I have an X 200 - 1AA.
It comes with the graphics card 8700GT. I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed and the latest Toshiba drivers for this card. (NVIDIA has universal drivers for this card).

When I connect to the computer via HDMI to my Plasma Hitachi 37PD5200 screen, which can go with resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 max resolution I get is 1024 x 768.
I try to change the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, but there is no custom settings for the HDMI port. The software detects the Hitachi monitor and says it is only capable of 480 p EDTV. And I can't change that.

If I connect via the VGA cable, works very well, with 1600 x 1200 resolutions. But the problem is that Toshiba HD-DVD player works only via the HDMI port.

If I connect a PS3, Xbox 360 or my player to DVD via HDMI, all devices to detect 1080i.

As someone had this problem before?
    Any ideas for me?

    Thanks in advance,

    See you soon,.

    Hello

Very strange, I know that the satellite X 200 series supports the standard HDMI V1.2 (up to 1080i). You can watch HD DVD movies on internal Toshiba laptop screen with a resolution of 1080i pixel and external TV Full HD with 1080 p resolution.

I m not 100% sure, but I think that this setting can be changed in the BIOS. Check it!

Your comments would be very appreciated.

  • HDMI port no longer works on Mac Mini

    Hello

I have a Mac Mini and I use usually 2 screens Dell. Everything worked fine until a couple of days, now the screen plugged into the HDMI port is no longer recognized. I changed monitors around and that did not help. Only the screen plugged on the stroke of lightning to the HDMI adapter works. I tried to use views to detect, but it still does not detect it. I unplugged and re plugged both monitors and restarted my computer. I don't know what else to do or if my Mac Mini is now a lost cause!

    Help, please!

    -Try resetting the SMC

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Then, connect a monitor to the HDMI port and see if the screen works when booting with the down Option. You should see drives bootable on the screen. This does not imply the OSX so if it works not that indicates a hardware problem

If it works try to start normally with only this screen connected to HDMI. If this does not work then:

Try resetting the NVRAM EXTRA memory

Subject of memory NVRAM and PRAM

    -Try to start safe mode

OS x: what is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

-Start to recovery and repair the startup disk

OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

-If it is repairable reinstall the OSX

-If you do not have a backup using disk utility to restore the internal drive to an external drive, so that you can try to recover the data.

Format the boot disk and then do a fresh install of Mac OS x

  • On Latitude E6250 HDMI port has never worked

    Hello,

I've got a Latitude E6520, and I haven't been able to use my HDMI port. Here's what I've tried:

    1. Pushing Fn+F8 or Windows key+P incessably to change displays and test all possible modes.2. Updated the Intel HD driver to the latest recommended version by Dell - that is 9.17.10.2867.3. Open display properties and click Detect and Identify. This creates a second display (aside from the embedded screen), showing as device "Display output device" (maybe not an accurate translation - my windows copy is in French). When clicking this, and then checking the creating display in the Intel HD panel, I realize this is Intel WiDi - not the intended HDMI port.

My HDMI cable is working; it has been tested successfully in other devices. My BIOS version is A13.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Juan

I got it. In case anyone has the same problem, I had to install the NVIDIA Control Panel since the support downloads for my Latitude E6250. I don't understand why I needed this, as my graphics chip is Intel HD 3000, and I do not know what NVIDIA has to do with it. But this solved my problem.

And Dell has to watch "community contributors" with unnecessary remarks on cables at low price or brand of monitor. They are less useless.

  • HDMI port defective by design?

Same problem here - I want to (Oh, man I need) to be able to use my HDMI port to make presentations on an external monitor.

I recently converted to the technosystem to Apple after being forced by the former employer to abandon in favor of Windows Apple more than 20 years ago.  I like how the iOS works (for the most part) and this terminal is for access to tools based on unix, but for something as simple as a faulty HDMI port - by office? -not what I expected to get my new Macbook Pro.  Laptop my wife 4 + years Windows has an HDMI port that works very well. But my new Macbook Pro?  Nada

This is not only annoying, but also effects me professionally. I need to be able to use some external displays of various flavours to present my services to potential customers.

Come on Apple, you can do better than that!

    (1) not talking about apple, it is a form of voluntary

    (2) iOS for smart devices, OS X for laptops, desktops, iMacs, Mini

    (3) you need a lightning to HDMI converter

  • HP PAvillion M7U61EA #ABH: HDMI port no longer works

For the last few days I used the HDMI port to stream video and audio to two different TVs LG and Samsung monitor without problems. Directly into TVs or with an AV processor and even if sound was not always easy, I could run BB iPlayer and Netflixs without any problem.

Then, from today I don't get the laptop to 'see' the fact that I inserted the HDMI in the laptop. Tried several cables and confirmed that the HDMI inputs on all these devices was still working.

This did some research on the site of HP, Windows site, but couldn't find a solution. What to do next?

    @JanA1

    revised and updated

Given that you upgraded to Windows 10

You may have accepted a Windows 10 update the graphics driver, who stopped the discreet graphics card to function properly. Never install the Intel graphics driver separately on a switchable graphics capable laptop computer. Only the NVIDIA graphics driver HP sofpaq will allow him to work as expected. It's a proprietary driver that is not included in the driver store of the operating system and is not on Microsoft's servers.

The best solution to solve this problem would be to use the system restore window to restore the operating system to the State prior to the change was made. You lose no and restore photos, or other personal data using the system. It is completely reversible.
