No sound when recording TV

For several days when I record TV in media player there is no audio. Video is fine. Audio is fine when playing DVD or my music library. I removed just recently installed update and programs.

  • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

    Hi DanielAmitai,

    ·         What operating system do you use?

If it's Windows 7, so please note that Sound WMA MP3 recorder is not compatible with the operating system.

    http://www.MP3-WMA-recorder.com/

Uninstall the program and try to install in compatibility mode and see if it helps.

    (a) right click on the configuration file (the file setup.exe for the software), and then select Properties.

    (b) now, click on the Compatibility tab and check the box that says run this program in compatibility mode for.

    (c) select Windows Vista (Service Pack 2). Click on apply and OK.

    (d) now right-click on the configuration file and select run as administrator and follow the normal installation procedure. Check to see if it helps.

    =============================================
More that likely there is a problem of compatibility with one or more
of your source files. Even if the project plays when
under the direction... the problem occurs when it is coded as a video file.

The only solution I know is to convert your source files
the formats that are no longer compatible with Movie Maker.

    Several formats are apparently compatible
with different versions of Movie Maker
but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp, jpg
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

  • No sound when recording movies

original title: why do I get only his and no visual effects while recording?

During the recording of my film (which I have done in different formats, so that publish them on youtube), I get only his and no visuals? It plays back fine in Moviemaker. I have tried several projects, unedited .avi, video-cam, always the same result.

    ====================================

More than likely your original source file is not fully
compatible with Movie Maker. Conversion of the source
file to the. Before you import into movie WMV format
Maker may be the best bet.

Thank you for your answer, I'll try their conversion and see if that helps. However the Help window and the page how-to - tells me that .avi files can be added to the filmmaker.

  • No sound while recording with Windows Vista

    Hello!

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a new 430 of XPS from Dell running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

I try to save and the external audio source (old audio cassettes) using audio recordings of Vista. I am inputing the audio using the socket "line in" on the back of the computer.  The Visual meter shows a signal is present, and I can save, save and playback of the audio file after it is saved.  The problem is that I can't hear any sound when recording from an external audio source.  I check in 'Sounds' in the Panel, and in 'line' monitor shows it receives a signal (and the level is turned up), but nothing is heard in real-time.  No speakers are silent. All the other sounds of the computer, MP3 and CD is heard without difficulty.  When I do a check for speaker under 'Sounds', the speakers work fine.  But I hear no audio registration until after I record the signal.

The computer is only 2 months old, and I've never been able to hear any audio registration in real time.  This isn't something that just stopped working.

I also use Total Recorder 7.1 and I have the same problem.  Total Recorder sees the external audio input signal and saves it.  But I do not what I did until I have read the saved file.  With Windows XP I always heard an external audio input as soon as I plugged the audio source, but so far it does not the same under Vista.

Device Manager tells me that my sound card and driver are operating normally.

Any ideas anyone?  Is there a change in Vista compared to XP?  Have they blocked the monitoring in real time because of some problems of conflicts or comments?  I'm just guessing.

    Thank you!!!

    Dan

    http://en.community.Dell.com/forums/t/19250187.aspx?c=us&l=en&CS=04&s=BSD

Solution seems to be to disable the integrated sound card and buy a PCI sound card. Good news is that they are cheap.

Just to be sure, it is the last driver I could find at Dell

    http://support.us.Dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&CS=04&l=en&s=BSD&ReleaseID=R190321&formatcnt=1&LIBID=0&FILEID=261430

I suspect the integrated sound card is not full duplex or the available driver is unable to drive. The first is my best guess.

So the bottom line is that you need a PCI Full Duplex sound card that works with 64-bit windows. The highest and digital sample rate 24 - bit is better, but I don't know it wouldn't be difficult to exceed the specifications on board. Rob - support element, Cascade Bicycle Club P.O. • Can't hear audio when recording.

I checked the preferences and I think that everything seems ok, but I can't get a peep out of him. Connection is headphone for pc,

I also tried pre amp for pc but still nothing.

As a test, I tried various tests and other freeware audio editing software and I can hear the sound when recording. I just can't hear when using Audition CS5.5

Uses Windows 7 and hdmi sound through my graphics card. I think there must be a setting somewhere but I don't can not find. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I had a play with the Realtek integrated sound card on my laptop - not my normal way of record - and has been able to monitor the entry as it was recorded.

I used multitrack view (as one normally do) and the only thing I had to do was click on the 'I' symbol (next to the "M" (mute) (solo) "S" and "R" (arm for record) buttons.)  The 'I' is for the input of the monitor.

However and this is a big however, on my laptop as soon as I specify the HDMI output, it disables the power supply of my helmet.  I can't try it without re - arrange my house, but I am betting that if I plugged the HDMI output on my laptop to my TV, the sound would be.  But it is certainly not on the headphone output of my computer.  It reappears on the headphones as soon as I select 'speakers '.  FYI, I also have to mess around with matching sampling frequencies since the HDMI is locked to 48 kHz and no digital output is set to 44.1.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to disable direct sound when you use a plugin for guitar?

I use the Waves GTR plugin for recording guitar in Logic Pro X, but because it puts a lot of pressure on the CPU, I tried he governs through a "bus" instead of having the plugin separately on every guitar track. The difference is that when I use the bus option, I can't seem to get rid of dry direct sound which is obviously very embarrassing. The only way for me to get rid of the direct sound is to use the RTM plugin on every guitar track that quickly causes the overload program when using several of these titles.

Anyone know how to get rid of the direct sound when you use the alternative of bus for the guitar tracks?

just at the exit of the guitar channel strip no output. This way you won't hear at the follow (because the dry track will not be transmitted to any output)

For the last few months, my phone has this kind of problem whenever I wanted to record a video. The audio in the recorded video may not be heard clearly, even with the highest volume. There sounds caring as wind noise even though I'm far from any source of wind such as fan, or when recording. At first I thought it was problems with the listener; probably I had disconnected the wrong way. But after trying a few times, the result is always the same. When I tried to record audio using voice memos, the audio is properly can be heard. This problem only occurs when you record a video. Please help me.

    Hi afiqahroshidi,

    Please visit Apple support communities.

It seems that your iPhone does not record clear audio as well as your videos. It seems that you have identified that the background microphone (used to record voice memos) works, according to get help with microphones on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Then, try the following steps, coming from the link above.

If audio video recordings of soft sounds, or Siri can't hear you, ensure that the microphone near the iSight camera - corner of your iPhone on top, bottom, the receiver is not blocked or covered.

If the microphone and the receiver are not blocked:

If you still have questions after you test the microphone on your device, try the following steps:

    1. Unplug any accessory plugged into the headphone jack.
    2. Avoid blocking the mic microphone and iSight with your fingers while holding the device or video recording.
    3. Remove the protection of screen, movies or cases that cover the microphone, microphone iSight or iPhone receiver.

  • Zero latency when recording possible? CS6

I can't get the latency time at an acceptable level in hearing CS6.  When recording I can hear an audible delay when I pull my string guitar for when I hear it playing on my computer speakers.  The latency in Audidion was initially set to 200ms and I've adjusted all the way to 30ms (which is as low as possible as seems) but I still get a delay that makes it too difficult to play with a backing track.  Is it possible to reduce this latency time to zero?

"Audio equipment" current settings are set at: MS, 30ms, 44100 Hz.

Release of Windows 7 on board sound via an optical cable to a 5.1 receiver.

    Audition CS6

    A number of things...

First, visit the M-Audio site and download ASIO drivers appropriate for your Fast Track Pro.  ASIO offers much less latency than MS and, probably more important, in my view, it allows the hearing latency compensation work properly.

Second, the use of your sound card onboard which is designed for the playback of videos of pit (where the 5.1) rather than low latency recording.  I guess that's why you're stuck with Ms too.  Make your exit through the Fast Track pro and read to the accelerated procedure manual monitoring section.  Your interface allows 'direct material' monitoring for you to listen to your guitar on the entry, and not after a round trip via a to D, your computer conversion, then a D to a conversion.

    I hope these steps help!
