  My husband & I had the new iphone4s Apple. We also got a new printer Officejet 4622 around the same time. We have everything synced up to w / our PCs, iphones (2), & printer. It was great! As a first step, we could really print Photos, Documents, Etc. directly from anywhere from our phones on our printer sitting at home! But then we did not have our fax plugged in right (we were not able to send or receive a fax at all) so we "thought" was only what was necessary to connect to our fax to power send & receive a fax.

  I recently bought the new HP Photosmart 5510 all in one - and I am not able to scan from my printer to my computer.

  I am however able to scan by launching the scan of the computer. I talked to HP customer earlier this evening and we ran printing + scan doctor and can't find any problems.

  I am running Windows 7-64 bit and that you have installed my wireless printer using the Installation CD supplied with the printer today.

  I could not finish troubleshooting with the technician that I talked to because I had to go to work. The person that I spoke with proposed possibly the full functionality of software downloaded from the hp.com site, which I'm happy to do, but I think that it is useless, because I have the CD of installation here. (The rep that I talked to was very nice, but I prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall if it is not necessary)

  Because as I mentioned above, everything works perfectly and I am able to scan - but not directly from the printer itself.

  When I try to scan from my printer to my computer an error message appears on the control panel of the printer indicating that: there is no scan destination options of analysis chosen / no..

  However, I can't find anywhere with my HP software where I could add / make sure that the destinations were there. (As I could on my other printers. (IE. By the solution Center)

  This printer does not appear to be a solution center that I could find and the scanner installed with the CD icon doesn't give me any options regarding changing the settings of the parser

  Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.

  1. open Control Panel

  2. click on uninstall a program

  3 uninstall the Photosmart 6510 in the list

  4 restart your computer

  5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

• am not able to print from Firefox (used to) even if I can print from Safari... what should I try?

  have a Firefox to date and was able to print on HP printer from the internet until recently. Am sure that the problem is in a setting of Firefox so I can print from the internet using Safari.   You need to provide a little more information... and it is unclear what you mean by "after successful download" even though I think you mean that you believe that you have successfully installed the printer.

  When you installed the printer did you leave the printer NOT connected until you are prompted to connect by the installation software or did you first connect the printer to the computer and then install the software?

  What happens when you try to print? If you get an error message, please provide the full text without paraphrase.

  Please describe the status of the lights on the front of the printer (on/off/flashing).  Lights are on 1, 5 and 6 in the figure below:

  Thank you for your help.  I decide to try another computer to see if it is printed.  He did it wasn't the hp printer that was causing the problem. It was the new version of mcafee on my desktop that is causing the problem.  Also, I disabled mcafee found out that I was able to print without difficulty.  I hope this helps other people with the problem.  I tried to fix my mcafee but decide to go with another company for the antivirus and spyware

  What of even weirder is now, that the right printer printed among the papers that I tried to print. (I did a cycle of the printer and the router prior). So I tried another document and printed it after waiting a short while.  The part that bothers me is that when I ran printing HP and Scan Doctor later, he came with a message saying that it was impossible to connect to my printer. So there is no sense of why he does not communicate on my printer but just in case, he began to print something wireless in my computer.   If you're connected via wifi direct, you can get the password by pressing the direct wifi on the printer control panel for 3 seconds or more, and it should print.  If you connect via wifi direct, when you open your settings on the ipad wifi, you will be connected to a network with the name of the printer that is incorporated into the name of the wifi network (and the direct button wifi will have to be reactivated at the front of the printer).

  If you are connected via your wifi router at home, your wifi password should be printer on your router somewhere.
