  Most printers have the clamps and screws.  Most of the screws have heads torx on them.  I just go to your local hardware/big box and look for a mixed together.  The more complete the better (I think most of the screws are T3 and T8, but can't remember for sure).

  Be sure to remove the parts of the cover.  They may have sharp edges.  Also be careful prying and pulling.  If the piece does not come off, he could be pushed or pulled in another direction, or you might have missed a screw.

  I wouldn't try this if the printer is in warranty. It will void your warranty.

  Also, look on You-Tube videos of disassembly of the printers.  You might find one that will help you.

• PHOTOSMART 7520 GOING 'OFF LINE' IN ENERGY SAVING MODE

  My Photosmart 7520 is connected wireless to my HP Envy laptop m6 running Windows 8.  When turned on, it works.  I can send print jobs to the printer from my laptop and print.  But after the printer has been in this is the mode to save energy for a few minutes, the printer goes offline and I can't get this back online on the computer.  The error message on the computer, it's that the computer cannot communicate with the printer.  The only way to get it printed again is that I do, at the printer, release the mode 'sleep' and then turn it off and then new.  (Automatic shutdown is DISABLED as long as the printer on a wireless network).

  Until now what I was doing. I went into Device Manager, printers, and I uninstalled it. Then I went into settings, equipment and removed from the appliance.

  Well, thanks for your trouble, but neither one was the problem. I found the problem myself. The tab before the stop was out of the slot and grows up to about 1/32 in.  When I broke it back in the Groove, it worked. Thanks Mike

• Photosmart 7520 error: there is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

  I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

  Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

  Error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

  I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

  #2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

  When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

  From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

  It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

  Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

  THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

  This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

  If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

  I just bought the HP Photosmart 7520 and everything works except one or twice a day, the Panel will Flash indicating that a mistake of the printer and to turn the printer off, then back on OK. So it's OK again, until it does it again. What is the cause? Otherwise, the printer works fine.

  I think I have everything working fine now. I had a problem with scanning the computer and it was suggested I have reinstall the HP software. I did it yesterday and my analysis to the computer works, I'll be back my widget and my front panel is not flashed over 24 hours. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Now, it's just a matter of waiting.

  I bought the HP Photosmart 7520 because I was told that it would print on my greeting cards. The cards are 5 inches wide and 11 inches long.

  Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the printer actually do this? I'm doing something wrong or is this format too smalll for this printer?

  If the printer is bad, please can I get some tips on what you actually buy?

• My printer HP Photosmart C310 provided false error message "paper jam".

  Then the first fellow reminded me that I owed him $37 and proposed to replace my security system with installation of Microsoft anti-virus Norton, a PC cleaner to remove unnecessary files and errors and unlimited technical support for 1 year - for $100 + life - I declined.

  Was - this legitimate? A process of aid approved by HP?

  I was thinking the problem was somehow inserted into my printer by these people and not inclined to pay.

  My suspicion is strengthened by having at the same time received an email from a credit card company, saying that my account has been suspended after too many login attempts had been made.  I had none, and a call that revealed to them that the account had not been suspended.

  Unfortunately you did not deal with HP support.  If you do a search for "HP Support", you'll see paid ads that "resemble" HP support but are actually not of HP.  HP support sites will hp.com in the url.  What I heard some of these HP people today it is not uncommon for them to call you back the next day if they manage to sell you something the first time.

• Why can't print photos from my iPhone 4 to my Photosmart 7520?

  I can print web pages and other documents wireless from my iPhone 4 for my Photosmart 7520 new, but when I try to print photos from my phone, blank photo paper out of the printer with an error message.  Also, when I try to print through my camera memory card, I'm not able to select a paper size correctly.  If I choose 5 x 7 with this photo paper in the tray photo, print photos 5 x 7, but on paper 8.5 x 11 from the lower drawer.  Is that what I'm missing somewhere along the line of the measures on these two problems?  I look forward to your response.  Thank you for your time!

  Thank you for your quick response and for sending a very useful article. I was surprised to read that, although the photo tray can handle 4 x 6 and x 7, e-printing 5 photo paper is taken in charge only the 4 x 6. It's no wonder that came out white 5 x 7 with an error message. I missed this piece of info to set up Air Print, or it was not mentioned in the specifications. Thank you for your help - I am now able to print photos, although confused and disappointed by the inability to print 5 x 7 of my phone.
