  • HP OfficeJet Pro 7590 - screen of the printer is in a foreign language?

I bought this printer (all-in-one) in January 2009 and after many hours of echat with HP supports, the problem was solved a couple of times, very briefly, but returned to cryptic display, shortly after.  I finally gave up, but it would be really nice to know, especially when there is an error message, what is the problem instead of each time problems.

I can't reset the language for American English because the guests on the screen are in some kind of Arabic code.  Even test pages or pages 'when faxes don't cross"print in an Asian language.

HP had never heard of something, someone out there have ideas?  Or maybe you could share a step-by-step by instructions button to change the language to English.  We know that it can display English.  The manual is useless for this and I retried the reset of the HP rep instructions (hold down the buttons on the front, disconnecting and reconnecting the power supply - essentially becomes a contortionist along the way).

Anyone, anyone?  Help would be appreciated of course.

  • OfficeJet Pro K5400 - loss of functionality in Windows 7

Since the upgrade of our PC from XP to Windows 7, we have experienced a huge loss of functionality when printing our of Officejet Pro K5400 (cannot print to the edge of the pages, can not specify substrates, change the resolution, etc.)

Our HP reseller from whom we bought the printer actually just washed their hands of this issue "that's the way things are, HP are better than many other manufacturers to provide drivers for the existing hardware, update of the operating system".

It seems ridiculous to me that HP will feel it is reasonable to not continue to support relatively recent kit parts that work well - just another example of built in obsolescence? Is there a way we can restore the missing feature? How about you, Vista driver - is that have relevance?

Come on HP - standing behind your product and we restore the characteristics that we need to make this useful printer once again!

This printer driver must be included in Windows 7 already.

Here is the document that I found for your printer when I was looking for the drivers:

I got this printer in use for some time. However, the functionality of the scanner is not available.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software several times. HPPSdr.exe HP doctor detects the scanner and talks to her and will scans a page of test successfully. But the HP Officejet Pro 8500 icon doesn't show any scanner feature when you click it. The printer works fine.

The printer is connected by ethernet to my router.

Anyone know anything about this? I find it very difficult to find more information about this problem.

    Honza.

    Hi Mika,

Rwmove the software completely by clicking on start > all programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 and follow the uninstall option.

Then go to control Panl > programs and features > uninstall a program and remove reminders of the software (HP Customer Participation, Readi Iris OCR, etc.).

Download and install the latest version of the software below:

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Scan to Email function

HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 is a great value for all the features it offers. "Scan to Email" was one of the reasons why I bought this printer. Even if I can do this fucntion work with my gmail and iCloud emails, I feel very uncomfortable in the provision of those emails of credentials while creating this function.

    (1) only the printer stores the name username/password encrypted?

    (2) EWS don't encrypt the password while it will send to the SMTP service?

    (3) HP provides SMTP service with connected HP or HP Support Forum's securities (this forum!). I'll feel more comfortable in the use name of user and password of HP for this service than GMail or Apple

    Your help is very appreciated.

    Hello

If I remember correctly, the printer should offer to save the e-mail address in the address book during the scan to email, I have not any access to the printer properly to ensure that.

In addition, to add the e-mail addresses to the address book, follow these steps:
    1. open the built-in web server (EWS) by clicking on the printer homepage (SAP software HP Officejet Pro 8620 or)

by using the IP Address of the printer from your browser (click it Ethernet or the wireless icon on the bottom of the screen to see it.)
    2. on the scan tab, click address book.
    3. click on new to add a unique e-mail address.
    4. follow the on-screen instructions. The entry is added to the address book Email.

You can add up to 15 email addresses.

I recently changed routers from D-Link to a Netgear R6400.  I could get my desk, the laptop and the i - Pad to connect to the new network, but not my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more.  When I try to change the IP address, which is what I think I do, the screen indicates "this feature has been locked by your system administrator or the one who put up the system."  I'm the only one using this printer and I put in place originally, but I do not remember 'locking' anything.  Will you please tell me how to solve this problem, so I can use the printer again.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

A suggestion that we recommend is to uninstall and reinstall the software FULL of features.

In Win7 that I could click on start/programs go to HP, click on and he would drag with various categories which was Scan. I could then pin the shortcut to scan on my desktop or start.

However, falls with Win10 you click on all the Apps/HP Officejet Pro 8600 most and there is nothing to see but pin all of the module that is already on the desk of the installation.

How can I get just the pinned shortcut to scan?

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP's Support Forums!

I see that you want to create a shortcut to the HP scanning. I will definitely do my best to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and mark "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand how frustrating this is for you. Windows 10 has made some changes, so that the steps are slightly different from Windows 7.

Please follow these steps as a guideline:

    1. First of all, we need to locate HP Scan where on the computer. The default location is in Program Files. For example, C:\Program Files (X 86) \HP or Hewlett-Packard.
    2. Go to (C:\Program Files (X 86) \HP or Hewlett Packard HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus\Bin)
    3. Right-click on HP Scan, and then click send to.
    4. Left click on desktop (create shortcut) to place the shortcut on the desktop.

For more information, see this paper:
Create the shortcut on the desktop in Windows 10 for a program (announced)?

I hope this information is useful. Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: HP Solution Center

It was time to replace my HP Officejet 6310 printer. I wanted to stay with the brand HP because I need to use the HP Solution Center software provided with the printer to manage all of my scan, print and fax. So, I bought the HP Officejet Pro 6830. This model does not include the HP Solution Center! It was rather the HP printer Assistant who does not have the features I need. I called HP to see which models have the HP Solution Center, but she says she does not have a list. And I can not find this software listed in the product description so that shopping for HP printers. Help, please! I need to buy a print-scan-fax HP device that has the HP Solution Center software. Here is a link to a previous HP Support Forum stating that the HP Solution Center software is not affiliated in any way with the Officejet Pro 6830 and can not detect the device of this model: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/HP6830-not-recognized-in-HP-Solution-C...

I called HP technical support. The HP Solution Center 'is no longer supported"all new models.

So here's what I can do is no longer with the HP printers:

    1. can't see up close the image I'm scanning. So, I can't crop accurately and make fine adjustments.

    2. granular scanning quality PDF. I scanned "line" or text in black and white mode and this is a resolution low resolution, despite the use of 300 dpi and brightness adjustment.

    3. limited to 300 dpi PDF.

    4. no characteristic clipping for scanning matrix photos in newspapers.

5 JPG limited to 1200 dpi (opportunity to Solution Center with 9600).

It seems that HP scanners provide only basic functionality. I'm go to Epson printers that use the Document Capture Pro Software and advanced features that HP has taken away from us.
