  • Printing DCP color red problem - HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All - in - One Printer, the 4th copy

I have a HP HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One Printer and try to print 75 copies of a program for our event. After the first 5-6 pages the RED in my program starts to turn magenta. I have new HP ink cartridges and print on HP Color Injet paper. I have renectly replaced the Black/Yellow Printhead (at least 6 months ago). At the beginning when I cleaned the printheads, I was able to print 2 or 3 pages showing my color RED. Then back to magenta. When I received the images of test after you have cleaned the print heads, they are all perfect, no lines.

What happens and how can I solve this problem?

    Hi TM1997,

    Thanks for the reply!

Given that the printer seems to work for a bit and then comes back to the same question, it must be a problem with the printhead (Cyan/Magenta one) or the ink lines that go from the cartridges to print heads. First of all, I would suggest that you check the warranty date on your printhead C/M. If it is under warranty contact HP Technical Support in your area and inquire about a replacement, but if not, it's you if you want to replace the print head, printer service, or look into an upgrade.

    Have a great weekend!

  • Sending faxes/install of the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One

I'm on a po to buy this printer but have a question that I can't find an answer for without having to buy the printer. I have no Modem built into my PC.

    I am wanting to know:

What I have a fax modem from my PC

An external USB Modem will work

To really stretch the question, how the external modem will connect to the all-in-one

The all-in-one has a fax for stand-alone fax functionality.

If anyone knows these answers I would appreciate a response. HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-one is on currently on sale $ 150 off and I would like to grab one before the end of the sale.

    Thank you very much

  • OfficeJet pro 8500: is my officejet pro 8500 store all scanned or copied information

My Officejet pro 8500 dead.  Are there personal information stored in the printer I need to erase or destroy before recycling the machine?

@No3putt, welcome to the Forums of HP,

The printer may have stored recent incoming faxes in memory. You can restore the printer back to factory settings to delete all information.

    • Select the configuration Menu, tools, restore the settings by default, Yes.

That should erase any information that you entered in the unit and you should be good to recycle!

I hope this information helps you! If you want to thank me for my answer today, click on the below!

Periodically, I lose the ability to scan on this machine.  Picasa is normally able to download images from the scanner, but now he can't find the device.  I can print, but I can't use the scan on the printer function.  Tells me no. OPTIONS for ANALYSIS. It worked before.  I tried to update the drivers, but this project is going nowhere because it seems that HP has only 8500 a 910

Can anyone help?  I use a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

    Hey @David146,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with the judgment of some installation of HP software to run on your PC of Windows 10. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. On your PC, press CTRL, ALT and DEL keys at the same time.
    2. Click Start Task Manager.
    3. Select the HP software from the list.
    4. Click end task.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One Printer-A909g

    My current firmware is: DLM1FN1344AR.

I'm due for an update of the firmware. I'm still using my original 32-bit Sony PC (soon to be retired), and there are now 2 64-bit PC recent which will remain on the network.

Should I wait for update firmware until I have remove the old Sony network, or he would be sure to update the firmware for the 64-bit operating system that exists on my recent PC 2?

Thanks for your advice. I've updated the firmware a few years ago with a 32-bit file. In fact, at this time there he can't an available 64-bit option. I'll just choose the 32-bit option again when I update and stop worrying about my PC operating system. As I said, at some point soon the network will be 2 64 bit Windows 7 PCs on it.

How the printer is connected to your PC? USB or network

HP all-in-One Printer Remote App for Windows 8.1 printer is located if it is connected.

and HP and Capture app scanning allows you to scan with compatible devices.

    I hope this helps

We have upgraded to a new D-Link Wireless N 300 Router and have consulted successfully the router using the key to safety with two cell phones and a desktop based ethernet but am getting an error "password WPA not valid" when you use the Wireless Setup Wizzard of the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One.  We have administrator access rights to the D-Link router using the desktop computer but not sure what to change.  We have restored factory on the 8500 and am not sure what next step to take to try to get it connected.

New technology of security of this router is not compatible with the all-in-one series 8500 or y at - it fixation or modification which could be considered to get this connected with the new router?

This problem has been resolved.  We 'Restored default network' in the network menu of the 8500, however, we needed "Restore Factory Defaults" in the Tools menu that solved the problem and allowed us to use the wireless configuration Wizzard correctly.

  • HP officejet pro 8500 a909g: print heads

my printer has stopped printing in black ink, even if the ink level is more than half full.  Ran "clean print head" and he ran forever.  Still not printing or copying in black.  color copy.

    Hey @ahornplayer58,

I would like to help you to solve the problem that you experience when you try to print in black ink of your HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One Printer today. Thank you for troubleshooting that you have completed before reaching out for support, including. Right now, it sounds like you have a defective black cartridge or defective printhead. In this model of printer, you have two print heads. There is a printhead magenta and cyan and a black and Yellow Printhead. If a replacement black cartridge fails to resolve your printing delivers a replacement black and Yellow Printhead may be necessary. Saying that, there are still a few troubleshooting steps that we can try before replacing anything. Can I please you follow the steps below.

To start, please click here to access the troubleshooting steps. Once the support document opens please run through the solutionand four Solution. This includes all sub-steps under the two alternatives. A print head cleaning may be run up to three times to resolution. If you make three Printhead clean nothing helps, please do not proceed with any additional cleaning ink is used to clean the print head system, and you will just be wasting ink if you want to go forward.

If the problem persists, the next step listed would be to replace the black and Yellow Printhead. However, it is never a bad idea to first try a black cartridge.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

No one knows what drivers or software to install to get it to work? I can scan and print but not fax.

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers and firmware on HP site but nothing new appears in the print options.

Hello @KentHP and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you are looking for in your computer's fax options.  I would like to help.

It appears that there may have been a recent software update.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 first: Feeder does not

    Hello:

I use a HP Officejet Pro 8500 first all-in-one printer, and recently I started having problems with the document feeder. It always saves when a document is sitting there, but when I choose "Scan" it makes a really loud grinding noise, short and says that I need to reload the document, and then try again. I also noticed that the roller is demeaning not himself, he is already lowered when I place documents in now. I think that maybe that's the problem.

I also have the error 'Pump motor Stall' when I restart the device.

No idea how can I fix? I scan a large number of documents in the office and the document feeder is quite crucial for time management.

    Thank you!

Hello @ddehner523and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you have questions about your feed paper.  I would like to help!

I recommend to remove printer ink cartridges and reset the power supply.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also turn on the power of the printer into a different wall outlet.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
