on 6510 photo tray printing

using windows vista and photo gallery.when select a photo and set the 4 x 6 size in Photo Gallery, no matter what I do, program still print from the main tray on my 6510

Solved my problem. Everyone always said to go to printer properties and change the paper source to the photo tray... It is indeed correct in a round point average... You can't just go to the properties of the printer and change it. You must go to printer properties THRU photo library to change.

1. Select the picture to print

2 buttom corner of page select options

3. when the print pop up settings appears, select print properties, and then change the size of your plate and paper.

(Photo gallery must have a shadow register your changing)

This will fix the problem... but do not forget to restore or the next time you print will pass on the photo tray.

  • C310 Cougar driver - Missing the Photo Tray printing Option?

I have used my C310 on my previous Mac using OS x v10.5 and had the photo of the photo tray printing option. I bought a new iMac with OSX v10.8 Mountain Lion. The CD that accompanies the C310 supports only OSX 10.5 and 10.6.

So I was on the web and downloaded the latest driver v12.23.14 C310, and not only this driver is that many paper size options, the possibility to print from the photo tray is missing. So paper is only being taken on the set of the low A4.

I also tried the driver of HP on Apple's site with the same results.

Any ideas where I can find a driver that will give me again the features of printer setup?

Fixed a problem. It may be a coincidence. Mountain lion was an update last night (16 September) which included improvements and among them a forHP drivers printer. Also, I went to the printer and the configuration of the Web ran Tools / updates to the product. In all cases when the impression I now have the ability to print the paper from the paper tray.

  • HP Envy 7640: MacBook Pro photos to photo tray printing problem

Printer does not print photos from the Mac to the photo tray.  Prints to letter size tray.  I deleted the printer, readded it, updated the drive, the printer of the stop, pulled the plug of the printer, pulled the plug from the wall, stop comptuer and then all restarted.  I can re - print a copy of a photo to the photo tray so I know it works.   Keep constantly wasting trying to print to the photo tray.  It seems to be the link between the Mac and the photo tray.  Extremely frustrating!

  • Invert the question of the photo tray

Hello. Unlike the others, my photo tray problem is that I can't get rid of the photo tray printing.  There is NO adjustment for the general paper source selection, only a selection of external print makes this possible.

No matter what I said there, printing from iPhone using AirPrint always goes to the photo tray.

I am in contact with support, but they have in a first time gave me advice on the use of menus that I did not (see above) and then insisted he must work in the external print menu.

    I'm on Apple iMac, OS / X 10.6.7

    Otherwise, everything works perfectly.

    Hello

AirPrint is indeed doing won't give you the opportunity to change that. AirPrint is primarily intended for photo printing and a HP printer which means go to the phototray for maximum quality. Unfortunately it is not editable. However, HP has a printer app, which does not have this option. Its called "HP Iprint" and can be downloaded for free on the Appstore.

  • Can not print Photo Tray HP Photosmart 6510

I saw many posts and responses on how to print successfully from the photo tray, but none seem to be adapted to the Mac user.  I tried all variations of Print f/Photo tray, Photo paper, main tray by default... and that you get inconsistent results.  Finally, I was able to print from the photo tray, then made u-turn trying to print using the same settings and has not been able to print again.  Several times, I got out the photo paper and reloaded without success.  Any suggestions on what I can do differently?  Thank you!

  • How can I route printing jobs for the main tray instead of the photo tray?

If I send a mail with an attachment JPG to the e-mail address of my printer, it will always try to print it by using the photo tray. I guess he assumes simply because it is an image file, happened to print using photo paper. Although it is not a bad assumption, it is not necessarily what the user wants. I was wondering how I could implement the ePrint to control which tray to use for printing the attachments of the image files. Thank you.

PS My printer is Photosmart 7520.

    Hello

At this point, you will not be able to do so through ePrint. Please also read the following post:

  • New HP Photosmart 7520 won't print from the photo tray

EDIT: He will feed from the phototray if I print the photo in Windows Photo Viewer.  However, he still refuses to print directly from the jpg format, even if I specify explicitly in all the settings I want to print a 4 x 6 from the photo tray.

    Is this a normal behavior?

I guess it would print correctly from other photo editing and look at software, but haven't checked that yet is not sure.

    PREVIOUS POST:

I just got this printer and cannot print from the photo tray.  He printed from the phototray during installation and configuration, but it was the only time.  The rest of the time, when I try to print a photo, it selects only in the regular paper tray.

Is there a magical procedure involved?  I have an operating system of Windows 7 and just installed on the HP site.  I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still does not work.

I load a sheet in the phototray, make sure that the correct printer is defined, select the paper size (in this case 4x6in photo sample provided with the printer paper), select HP Everyday Photo Paper, glossy paper, click on print and the printer does not take into account the phototray and prints from the regular paper tray.

I've scoured the web and answers do not solve the problem.  It's very frustrating.  If I can't get this resolved in a day or two, I will back this printer and will try another brand.

These settings should always print to the Photo tray.

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

  • HP Officejet want 5740: HP Envy does not print from the photo tray

All of a sudden the printer refuses to print from the print bed.  I sat down today and photos of 4 x 6 successfully printed iPhoto.  When I went the second impression, it would only print from the paper tray.  All the settings are correct.  The window of the printer poster paper in all trays of correct size.  The printer settings are correct. I tried to restart the computer to reset, but in vain.

    Hi @KarenPM,

I understand that you are having problems to print from the photo tray. I can help you with this.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Here are the steps to print the photos. HP ENVY 5540, 5570 Deskjet and Officejet 5740 - print photo printers.

If you're still having problems, it may be a damaged printer driver, try the following:

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

Try another application to see if you have the same results.

How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

  • HP Envy 7640 all-in-one: cannot print photos using HP Envy 7640 of the photo tray

Photo will not print from the photo tray. When I try to print the photo tray is not recognized. I asked about this problem before and I had the printing of photos with Windows Photo Viewer and that worked for me after that I changed the settings as shown. But now it will work for a few photos and then stop working and go back to not recognize the photo tray. I have all the right settings. I unloaded and reloaded the photo paper. Did not help. I tried to print from WIndows and Windows 10 photo App Picasa Photo Viewer. Will not recognize the photo tray. When I load the window of the printer photo paper will not let me choose the photo tray. So I can't yet do this way. I don't understand why it will work sometimes and now not at all. Help, please. I love this printer, but it gets so frustrating. Thank you.

    Hi @Carlene1,

Since you are able to get the picture to print, which would indicate that the question is in the software, not the hardware. You should be able to print from programs other than the Windows Photo Viewer. If you experience problems when you try to print from other programs, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the software.

  • Printer load the photo tray photo paper

My HP C7280 does not load paper photo 4 x 6 from the photo tray.  The photo tray moves in direction the feeder, but fails to actually load the paper into the feeder.  Any suggestions on how to remedy this?  Thank you.

    Mike

    Hey,.

Please take some time and look through this document to make sure that you load the paper correctly,

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01662562

These are the instructions of Macintosh, but measures to prepare for printing of the photo are the same, but they will on Windows just would ignore the instructions.

  • Photosmart 6520e: print photos from the photo tray

HP Photosmart 6520e - when I try to print photos from the tray photo here is what is happening. I empty the 8 1/2 X 11 (big) paper tray pull the photo tray properly load 4 X 6 photo paper and close the guides for focus media. Push the tray (s). When I try to print, I get the message that it is paper. EVERY TIME!

If I load photo paper in the paper tray size, Center it with the guides and close the bins it will now display the peak (s). But it won't print from the photo tray, said always with paper. Prints only from the main paper tray. What's wrong?

    Thank you

    Hello @barnstormer37,

I would like to help you today with the message 'in paper' that you get on your Photosmart HP 6520 e-all-in-one printer when trying to print photos from your Windows Vista computer to the photo tray. I understand that you are able to print from the main tray end, and you load properly all of your photo paper in the photo tray. At this point, it does not sound like a configuration problem on the computer. You usually have to "say" what paper tray it will be the power to the printer through your print dialog box. If the tray is always set to the main desktop tray when you want to print from the photo tray this will result in a "paper" message like your printer "think" it is supposed to print from your main tray empty. Please follow the steps below to make sure everything is set as it is supposed to be.

For your reference I'll start providing you with the "loading paper" documentation for your product. This documentation is also useful if you decide to print envelopes as well.

Loading paper and envelopes for HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 6520 6520 Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer Series

Once your photo paper is loaded, I'll make you do a test print to your printer from the photo tray. Because each program is slightly different when it comes to printing, I'll start by providing you with the steps to print correctly in the Windows Photo Gallery program as it is specific to photo printing.

    1. Windows Photo Gallery by clicking the Start button
    2. Click on all programs
    3. Select Windows Photo Gallery
    4. When Windows Photo Gallery opens, choose the image you want to print
    5. On the toolbar click print, and then click print again
    6. In the print pictures dialog box, select the printer, paper size, print quality, print system, and number of copies to print.
    7. Click on the Options at the bottom right for additional print options. Ensure that the paper tray is set to the Photo tray.

Once the adjustment options and the plateau have been confirmed as being correct, please try to print.

Please let me know if the steps I have provided resolve your printing problem. Should receive you 'in paper' messages in another program, please let me know which program you are printing from. Good luck!

  • HP Photosmart 6521: Can find photo tray option when printing

I bought a HP Photosmart 6521 today, part of the family 652 x.  I set up via the USB cable on my old Mac that is running Leopard 10.7.  The printer software is automatically downloaded and the printer set up like a dream.  Wifi link to my Wifi network configuration.  Can print from my new toptop running OSX10.9 no problem.  Problem is that I can find a print option on the laptop that allows me to choose the phototray.  I looked at the Mac and HP support forums, I downloaded and installed the software for the HP Photosmart 6520, no problem with the installation.  Still do not see an option on my computer to print from the phototray.  Any ideas is this likely to be a problem of HP or a Mac problem.
