  • Unusual problem: partially black screen on the bottom right

    Hi all

I would like to know what I can do to address these problems:

I only had my Clip 4 GB zip drive for a month, and today I noticed after that him have plugged for charging for more than a day lower the right hand screen is black. The rest of the screen is fine, it's just this little corner of the screen that is like that! Partially black screen is triangular and always there.

Another problem I've noticed is that I had it charging for more than a day, I expect to be fully recharged at the time where I unplugged, yet when I watched the news system, he indicated that power was '88% '. And then, when I was checked to make sure it read "77%", then again in '88% ' after I checked it once more. WTH is happening? Why the change?

Oh, and I think that the firmware is up to date (not sure if this is relevant) because they say "Version: V01.01.20F" in the settings.

In addition, there is a third question, I believe. I tried to reset by pressing the button of power for 20-30 seconds, but for some reason any, my drive is as insensitive to this, he starts just straight up / stops due to the initial pressure - i.e. function Reset does not work.

Others that the three above, I have not noticed other unusual symptoms. I would be extremely grateful if anyone could give me any advice to solve this problem.

Edit - I just noticed that when the drive is connected, he said 100% fully charged, but as soon as I unplug the 88% said

    Thank you.

I would not be concerned about battery level indicator, as the Zip Clip is infamous for having been innacurate that.  Apparently better, if you want to know the exact charge: go to system info. screen (under system settings) and check the percentage of battery charge it.

Troubesome more is the screen problem.  If I were you, I would try to manually reapply the latest firmware (see firmware upgrade thread sticky at the top of the forum).  If that doesn't resolve the issues, I would contact the seller and/or the SanDisk for a defective/warranty drive replacement.

Hello everyone. I'm having this problem with my screen. When I start using my computer, the screen is very clear, but in a short time later, it darkens partially. I can still see what is happening, but the darkness makes it harder to see things. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix. Thank you for any offer of assistance.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

  • Re: Satellite A300D-15B - BIOS update failed and now I get a black screen

I've updated my laptop to run windows 7 instead of vista some time ago and my laptop was running, but the fan seems to stop working and I found that a BIOS update can fix this on this forum. The BIOS update has stopped responding partially through and I had to shut it down. I tried to run again, but he continued to come up with an error message. The laptop was working fine, but once I turned it on the next day I found that it is only responsible to a black screen. My laptop is out of warranty, but I thought I would send it out the hope for a decent price, but she came back with a cost of mounting A £400 for a replacement motherboard and price tag. Anyone know if these types of problems can be repaired without full replacement necessary?

Thanks to advanced to someone who can help :)

    Hello

You must contact an authorized in this case service provider. You should speak with the technicians because they try to reflash the ROM module where the BIOS is stored. This isn't expensive and it s worth a try! ;)

You can find a list of the ASP s here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

But in the worst case you need a new card of mother, but technicians must try to reflash the ROM module first

  • When I try to put the background that is not color. only, I get a black screen.

everything about the definition of the background. accept all I get is a black screen.

    Hi Troy,

MSE affect the definition of the background or order so you can exclude as the cause.

When did start?  If the latter, try a system restore to before it started to see if that helps. If you use Windows 7, seehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, seehttp://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084. Sometimes this simple process made the rounds and sometimes that doesn't help - but it is easy and worth if she has recently begun.

If this does not work, try to update the driver, firmware, or software for your video card and monitor by checking with the manufacturer of the computer to get the latest for your specific computer model and (your preference based on the serial number), as well as your version of Windows.  Be updated via Device Manager, save the changes, reboot and see if that helps.

If this does not work, go to control panel / customization and a more basic theme or background plus standard (and other similar adjustments) try to see if you can find one that works (or partially to work).  Then you will know that the question is somewhere in this configuration and it can take time to find something suitable for you.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I have this problem for a few weeks.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

    If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.

Please follow these instructions to collect data against crashes and upload them here, to your Skydrive or a service such as Rapidshare file sharing.

  • The RAM lot shown on Sys. Info. but the correct amount of shows mycomp/properties, black screen was crashing...

Although quick and concise as possible. PC under XP SP3 Pro with AMD Athelon 2.41 GHz and had two sticks of 1 GB of ram with 256 MB radeon x 1650 just to use dual monitor graphics card. A few weeks ago it started to break up during different tasks, no bsod or error message, just a black screen crash and reboot. He wouldn't even say ms recovered or give me an option to boot safe mode or anything like that, just acted like it never happened. The typical check/clean/test when discovered that even if sys properties reported two GB of info sys ram only showed 256 MB total physical. Thought it was a RAM problem, took a stick, works slowly but not crash, exchanged, even. Put two sticks in another pc, no crash and it reads 2 Go in the properties and 2 048 Mo in sys info. Took the four MB 512 out of this pc put into this one, nothing, does not start. Put the 1 GB in works slowly with no crash, but reads only 128 MB of ram in sys info, while always reading 1 GB in comp/properties...

So my question is: is this a power supply motherboard problem or power, or am I just missing something here? I wonder on BIOS or CMOS, but they have not been affected or modded and it worked. In addition, av is up-to-date with no reports of virus.

Looks like you got a BSOD but just don't see it because XP is supposed to relaunch on these failures.  If your system is configured to save dump files, we can always get infromation from last bit depressed.  If the sytem is not configured to save dump files, make sure and then let a few dump files accumulate so we have something to look at.

If you are forced to do so, you can certainly guess all what he could be and try things.

Please provide more information on your system.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click Edit, select all, copy and paste then return here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste that information here.

There would be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), or what seems to be only your business that you can remove the dough.  Send two copy/pasta.

XP is configured to restart automatically on some system failures, you will need to disable this feature for BSOD information will remain on the screen for you to see.

Configure your system does not automatically restart on system failure (this is what he wants to do):

Right click my computer, properties, advanced, startup and recovery settings.

    In the system failure section:

Put a check mark in the box "write an event to the system log.

Put a check mark in the box "send an administrative alert.

    Uncheck 'automatically restart '.

In the Write debugging information section select:

    Partial dump (64 KB)

    Set the directory small dumpster:

    %SystemRoot%\Minidump

    Click OK, OK.

    Restart your computer.

What is your system brand and model?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

    Download BlueScreenView here:
Unzip it and run it (BSV installs nothing) and let him complete the digitization of all of your files to dump.
If you double-click on depressed, you will get information on it (including the field caused by the driver) and you should be able to spot the problem right away - especially if you see a model in landfills where Caused by field pilot is the same (beginning with this driver).
Select (highlight) one or more of the most recent dump files by clicking on them and hold down the CTRL key to select multiple files.  Try to select only the most recent links that relate to your problem (perhaps five or six to start dump files).
Click on file, save selected items and save information from the dumps to a text file on your desktop called BSOD.txt.  Open BSOD.txt with a text editor, copy the text and paste it in your next reply.

  • Black screen before loading windows

I watched videos and all of a sudden my computer crashes. I had similar to freeze in the past and I restarted my pc, and that she would go to advanced boot settings, so I was able to start windows. This time I rebooted and the motherboard splash screen came, but before loading Windows logo appears, the screen goes all black, boot advanced settings does not appear this time. The only shot that turned out to do anything is Ctrl + Alt + Delete, which just restart the computer and the same thing happens. I can't get into my bios. I am running Windows Vista 32bit.i do not have a RAID array. Any help will be greatly appreciated and sorry for my bad English.

There are many possible methods to try to resolve the problem without using Safe Mode. However
Keep your eyes on it that sometimes get you lucky and something works partially allowing
Safe mode, and then those that can be completed and access Windows.

Also use Google search. Black screens are extremely difficult to manage.

  • Black screen after my login

Hello everyone, having a little trouble with my laptop. It has Windows Vista Home Basic, and that's all that works well for the two years that I got it. Today, but just the screen when black after I opened it upward. I Googled it of course and a bunchg of other cases set came. But mine was a little different, as most of the people said they still had their cursor on the screen. Mine doesn't work. And also, an error window appears saying that Windows Explorer cannot be started. Tried booting in safe mode, the same except that now the cursor is there. Help?

    Hello

Here is the complete, just troubleshooting tool in case you win a partial access and use safe mode.
Even if you do not have a cursor in Windows the same patches must be tempted.

    -----------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
    field efforts.

Here's a video of one of them.

  • XPS 15 9550 with black screen problem

    Hello

I have a XPS 15 9550 UHD, 512 GB SSD and using the laptop without major problems for 3 days. Today, I tried to start in safe mode for windows and you press the F8 key at random on the departure. It has not worked and I retried the boot. I could randomly pressing keys like F5-F6-F7-F8 function, etc.  But now the screen is always black, no sign of any connection Logo Dell or bios. I see that power exists on the laptop, fans run, there is on the keyboard lights up but the screen is black and there is absolutely no sign of boot.

I also press and hold the FN + start button / stop. It did not work. I tried but its not start. What could be wrong here? Remove the battery (I hope that security will not be cancelled if I open the back of the laptop) and retry the turn a good idea?

BTW I bought this laptop in the United States and return to my country Turkey. The DELL warranty is valid internationally?

    Best regards

Try to press and hold the power button for about ten seconds, release and press it again. If I remember something like this happened to me recently, and I think it's how I solved it.

BTW, F8 to enter Safe Mode has been disabled in Windows 10. You can hold SHIFT while clicking on the power > restart links on the login screen or the Start Menu (on the left or right, click on the selection) and then enter in the troubleshooting section. The other option is to change BCDEdit.

EDIT: I just now experienced some strange problems on this site. From time to time if I right click on one of the posts to choose open in a separate tab, the select box (which has a number of other selections) is completely or partially black. I have never seen it before. I use the latest version of Firefox as my browser.

  • Black screen problem.

    Hello!

While I was watching a movie from Itunes on my iphone and took a screenshot. As I looked in my album, I ended up getting a black screen. There is a desire for this?

I guess this is supposed to work this way because you don't own the rights to the film.

  • iPhone 7 more stuck on black screen with the spinning wheel

How can I fix it? I tried to reset, go into DFU mode, recover from iTunes. Nothing works. I can't use iTunes because he wants me to grant access from my iPhone is not responding. DFU mode doesn't work, the screen does not any combination of seconds I hold down the buttons to. This has happened more than an hour. Should I just wait for the battery to die? Please note that I do not live in the United States or the U.K. or anywhere with an Apple Store, I can take it to.

    Thank you

Hello! I think that I may have a solution to our problem of the black screen with the circle of rotation.

I came across this post today because my iPhone all nine 7 (which I've upgraded to the latest ios) also got stuck on a black screen with the circle of rotation. I tried to update some of my apps, when suddenly the screen froze. I clicked once on the home button and the screen become black with the subsequent appearance of the circle of rotation.

I have tried everything - simultaneously press the home button and power (does not work). connected to itunes to do a restore (it won't let me not because my "find my iPhone" was turned on - but I could not turn off because my phone was insensitive).

In any case, a very useful Mr. Damon (Senior Advisor to Apple) helped me via chat to solve the problem.

    Here's what I did:

    1. make sure that your iPhone is disconnected from the socket or the computer.

    2. hold the POWER button and the VOLUME DOWN button at the same TIME. If it works, the screen should turn off almost immediately.

    3. connect your iPhone to the computer. (when I have connected to the computer, my iPhone automatically on and was ready to be reused).

The steps below are for those whose iPhones did not turn with the above steps. The following steps are designed to allow you to disable remote your 'find my iPhone', so you can do a manual restore from iTunes.

    4. go to www.icloud.com.

    5. click on Find iPhone

    6. given that the phone is turned off already, he won't be able to find it. On the top bar, click DEVICES.

    7. click on your iPhone.

    8. click on "delete account".

    9. go into your itunes and do a restore.

I did have to do steps 4 to 9 more, because as I said, my iPhone automatically activated after step 3.

This really worked for me. I hope this works for everyone else too! Have a great day!
