Pavilion 500-505nb: 2 DIMM memory instead of 1

Hello

I have a question about above office:

This PC has now 8 GB of ram DDR3 inside, 1 single memory unit.

I was wondering if I where 2 2 GB ones, replace if

the ability to dual channel would work? The processor is an AMD A10-7800

one.

I reduce the ram from 8 to 4 as the operating system is Windows 8.1 32bits

because I need for some special programms that refuse to run

on the 64-bit version.

For the rest a good enough PC!

Thanks for your time,

Eugene

I'm about to take my 10 GB of RAM RAM 16 GB of RAM and 500-200 t has only two slots for memory card. When I replace (2 x 8 GB cards) I have two 5 GB cards flying over. I need to know the exact left specifications more cards? I want to put the card in my Dell XPS 8500 4slot who has already 2 x 4 GB cards in there. And the specifications on Dell cards are cards of DDR3 1600 MHz. Can someone tell me the specs on the HP 500-200 t maps?

Please see the specifications of the product HP Pavilion 500-200 t and configurable Options page for the information you request. Based on the specifications, the factory in your computer memory should be 10 GB (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 8 GB) DDR3 PC3-12800. The speed is DDR3 - 1600 MHz. The size is a guess based on your statement "I'll have two 5 GB cards flying." Memory is available in sizes based on the binary progression... example... 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, etc. There is no such thing as a 5-GB card.

As to put in your Dell... it may or may not work depending on the latency and/or refresh, or if it is dual channel.

  • HP pavilion 500-123w: dedicated video memory

So I tried to install a game, by controlling require it software and hardware, I noticed that I needed 1 G of dedicated video memory, but I only have 32 MB. I went into the BIOS and I looked for the ability to change the dedicated video memory, but I couldn't find, is there a way I can add/change video memory dedicated?

    Thank you

    Carlos, welcome to the forum.

No, there is no way to change the integrated video memory.  Your best option would be to install a discrete PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0) video card.  This would also require a power supply (PSU) upgrade.  Your power supply is only 300W and recent video cards require a minimum of 400w.

You can find a list of the parts for your machine:

What card you use, the machine only supports the following cards:

    • Secure Digital (SD, SDHC, SDXC)

  • Upgrade memory Pavilion 500

My wife quickly ougrowing the 6 GB of Ram on my Pavilion 500-119ea. I am running windows 8.1.  Additional memory how can I install? and in what configuration?

I think that should be useful:

On a side note, the RAM as Crucial manufacturers tools online that can raise this info. You do not have * have * buy the memory of them, but it is a quick and easy way to see what you have to work with.

Here is a link to the Crucial tool:

I guess the next question would be: how much more memory do you need? The answer depends on what she uses the machine for.

  • Maybe a bad Mobo Pavilion 500-297c

Hello all and thanks in advance for any help there is for.  Against my better judgment, I bought a HP Pavilion 500 - 297 c instead of building my own PC.  In my old computer (which has exploded after 4 years, I was the second owner) I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 550ti.  I wanted to put it in my new computer and knew I needed power upgrade.  I went to my local computer tech store and had them install a new power supply and my old card.  Not that I couldn't do it myself, but I thought with it under warranty I would like to leave to the professionals.  So installed 500W Power and a 6-pin Sata, I thought we were in business.  Unfortunately, it would not pass on the MESSAGE.  The tech thought it sounded like a report of bad memory.  He went out two DIMMS and restarted.  Nevertheless, would not pass POST.  So he replaced the DIMMs, pulled the card and rebooted.  It starts very well this time.  He thought he could be the graphics card itself that was bad.  He then installed his "known to work" test card (a HD 4350).  Still no dice.  I then had him test my video card in one of its computers in floor and it seems to work very well.  We thought it was a bad housing PCI Express.  Someone has an idea, if I forgot something, or if the two are not compatible (I don't see why they would be)?  Any help would be great!

  • HP Pavilion 500-242ea: Ram upgrade

    Hi I have a desktop computer Pavilion 500 - 242ea 64-bit with 6 GB of ram installed 1 x 2 gb Hynix/Hyundai 1600 mhz and 1 x 4 gb Samsung 1600 mhz.

I would like to increase my ram by an additional 8 GB with a 2 x 4 GB - 1600 mhz cards in empty slots, all first is it possible and secondly what do you sugest?

My motherboard has four 240-pin ddr dimm sockets plug say this upgrade may be: -.

    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) or

    PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600) or

    PC3-14400 (DDR3-1866),

    32 GB unbuffered memory total

I look forward to your response.

You can add memory for each vacant home.   I would add two DDR3 2048 MB PC3-12800 (800 mhz) to this system.  But if you wanted to add two 4096 modules, I see no problem.

  • HP Pavilion 500-141ea: GPU for HP pavilion 500-141ea

    Hello

A couple of years ago, I bought a HP pavilion 500-141ea, I am now looking to upgrade the GPU and the power supply on this subject. I want to replace the old GPU with a GTX 960 but I unure know if it is compatible with my motherboard because I'm not sure if it has the version of the bios that is needed to support the 960 GTX

    Information on the motherboard:

    MS-7778 (Jasmine)

    BIOS version: FRIEND 80.46 10/03/2013

If it doesn't not work could offer you some suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Madness 78, welcome to the forum.

960 GTX requires UEFIin the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS / Legacy.  Your motherboard has UEFI.  You have two things to consider: 1) the power required to run the video card correctly and 2) the length of the card.  The power supply unit (PSU) to the count is 300W.  I think that you will need a minimum of 400W.  I recommend a block of power SUPPLY Corsair of at least 500W.  The modular power supply to reduce the number of cables you are using.  This allows for better air circulation.  You can determine if the card fits by the measure of the e/s rear plate at the front of the computer.  This will allow you to see if it fits and if other ingredients will be in the way of this Assembly.

  • CARD READER USB FOR DESKTOP HP PAVILION 500 - C60?

I have a new 500 - C60 HP Pavilion desktop computer, but the front card reader does not accept the largest flash Compact Flash (CF) card.  I have an old USB multi-card with four different card slots, which accepts the card see  Would this setting work satisfactorly?

    Thank you

    shamrock838

    Hello @shamrock838,

I understand that your desktop HP Pavilion 500 - c60 PC does not support the biggest Compact Flash Memory Card and you are curious as to whether or not you can install an USB multicard Reader which accepts the memory card see First of all, you have reason 7 - in1 media card reader did it installed does not supported CF memory card, but it supports the following cards:

    • Digital safe™ (SD)
    • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
    • SDXC
    • Memory Stick
    • Memory Stick Select
    • Memory Stick PRO
    • Memory Stick MagicGate

I don't see why you can't connect the 4 - in1 USB multicard reader you have. Until the operating system detects and installs, you should be fine.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Thanks for your replies. My reason for decommissioning is a requirement with my Autocad Architecture 2012 which does not work on windows 8.1. Stupid me! I should have looked into this before buying the computer. But I like the computer because it is a 64 bit with 8 GB of memory and I love the W8.1 too. Very compatible with my ph sound cell phone android. So until I can afford to upgrade my Autocad I'm stuck with Win7.

This is your computer .  Power supply is 300W.  PROCESSOR AMD A8-5500.  D 7560 AMD graphics card.

COD Black Ops must these requirements.   Your CPU meets the corrected value.

The graphics are a serious difference... the comparison here is.  560ti vs the 760 and both are 170W.

You will need at least a 500W PSU, but again, I would see that a 600W Corsair associated with a card EVGA.

Finally, you need 8 GB of memory of motherboard.  Just 6 GB. Not sure about your Setup, because there are 4 locations, and you have 6 GB installed... Run the CPUID CPU-Z to analyze the 4 locations.

  • Pavilion 500 adding hard drive

Bought a desktop Pavilion 500 computer last week.  Kind of disappointed with the documentation that comes with it, also disappointed with the documentaion on this site, just seems to have two manuals supplied with the computer, PDF files (but, maybe I'm not looking in the right place).  Nothing in the documentation provided with your computer that shows what the computer looks like inside, no info at all on the update of the computer (adding another hard drive - what memory?).  I open the computer and take a look to see what is inside, but the manual says that if I open the computer and break the security seal I certify that the computer was working properly until I tried to upgrade the computer, and if the security seal is broken it could screw up my warranty.  I think there must be space for another hard drive, but who knows.  I would like to install the IDE of my old computer hard disk, do not know if this is possible.  I know I can get a disk enclosure and connect it to a USB port, but prefer to install the drive in the computer (may be screwing up the warranty...).  If an IDE drive may not be installed on the computer, as it is, maybe some sort of a SATA to IDE adapter or card would work.  Anyone have any ideas?

According to respondents, this adapter converts IDE drives to Sata port.

If so, I would not update the driver.  Many problems with W10 and IDT audio.
