Pavilion DV7-3063 cl: DV - 7 does not work on a/c

My computer is no longer works on a/c.  When I plug it in, lights up the AC and the battery charges.  When I turn it on, it works fine for 5 minutes, then the a/c light goes off and it only works on battery.  Soon as the battery discharges, it shuts down the computer.  The only way I can get the "charge" light to come back is to remove and replace the battery. Only changes I made to the computer are that I replaced the hard drive with a solid state unit.  I bought a new battery (which is the same as the original).  I tried 2 different adaptors with the same result, ran the diagnostic on the battery that completed successfully.  I'm at my wits end with this.  Can you please point me in the right direction?

I was under the impression that the computer needs to operate with no battery.  Is it a motherboard problem or something that can be repaired without replacing the motherboard?

Also, I'm a computer technician in systems with 40 + years of experience... Everything simply never seen anything like it!

Thank you!

Your laptop DC connector is the modular type that plugs into a header on motherboard and is pretty cheap.

You can try the method to enter the Device Manager and uninstall the control device of method of battery and battery unit. Once the devices are removed, restart the laptop. The Windows 7 operating system should repopulate with both devices Device Manager. It can rejuvenate the battery recharge.

You can also try the command-line command sfc/scannow method to check the operating system files for corruption and the replacement of the corrupt\damaged files.

If none of the three suggestions help does not, then replacing the motherboard or sourcing a replacement notebook will be the only alternatives I know. You can use an external hard drive enclosure or USB to sata connector to allow the copy of the important contents of the hard drive to another PC.

Is there another place where this driver can be downloaded? Or should I use the latest orders from synaptics Web site. Even if it provides drivers to download, synaptics Web site recommends using drivers that are released by the manufacturer of the laptop.

    Hello:

It seems that the driver link does not work for all phones g6-2000.

I would use the model series g6-2100, which should work perfectly (and the download works also).

  • I have a laptop HP Pavillion DV7 and my internal MIC does not work... How can I solve this problem?

I tried to understand why my internal microphone does not work for me.

    Hello

What operating system do you use?

Did you of recent changes made to your PC before that?

Often, sometimes with a question like that, there is a problem with the driver. If you recently updated your PC, that might be the problem.

  • I have a Pavilion dv7t entertainment notebook. Bluetooth does not work on startup.

Most of the time when I put on the Bluetooth does not start. I know when he failed, because my mouse does not work. When this happens I open "devices and printers" in the control panel and the device Bluetooth showing will be the laptop itself. Now, I know I have to do a restart because the Bluetooth icon appear not in the tab "icons". If I restart normally, I can then use my Bluetooth mouse and all my Bluetooth devices will be show in devices and printers. I tried updating the driver and even roll back the driver. The last 3 days this problem has been more frequent. This morning I had to reboot 4 times to get the Bluetooth to work.

    Hello @wandrews1944 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that the Bluetooth service does not automatically start your laptop.

It would be really useful to know which product and the operating system you are using.

For more information on the search for your model and product numbers, click here: How can I find my model number or product number?
What version of Windows you are using, click here: Windows operating system am I running?

You can also try to control services on the laptop to make sure that the Bluetooth Support Service (or bthserv) is configured to start automatically, instead of manual. Start (Trigger) manual will try to detect Bluetooth devices before turning on, to prevent the service from running when it is not needed. This does not always work perfectly so if you use Bluetooth we will set it to automatic instead.

    To change Windows services:

    1. Press the Windows key + R to open the run window.
    2. Type services.msc and click OK to open the Services window.
    3. In the list of services find Bluetooth Support Service (or bthserv).
    4. Right-click on it and choose Properties.
    5. On the general tab set the drop-down list Startup type to Automatic.
    6. Click the log .
    7. Check the circle Local System account .
    8. Click OK to close the window
    9. Reboot and test.

If it still does not respond, you may need to try automatic (delayed start) to give the system more startup time before searching for Bluetooth devices.

Let me know if that helps!

  • Pavilion dv7t-2000 dvd/CD drive does not work

    Hello

I have problems with my CD/DVD drive.

Recently, I upgrade my Windows Vista Service Pack 2. I noticed that my CD/DVD drive does not work, although I don't know if this is related to the Vista upgrade because I have not used the cd player in a long time. The drive does not read CDs or DVDs that I put in.

Device Manager indicates there is a problem with the driver for CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive. Device Manager displays the following error message: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

The device is listed as TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA Device. The CD-ROM/DVD-ROM is the same as that provided with the laptop when I bought it, which is listed as "LightScribeSuperMulti8XDVD + / RWw/DLayer" on my receipt.

In the properties of the device, I pressed the 'Update Driver' button, but it says that the driver is already up to date.

I searched HP's site for an updated CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver, but I couldn't find one. I also ran "HP Health Check", but the program cannot find any problems.

    Thank you for your help.

    The problem has been resolved.

I followed the advice of nazcar4u in a similar thread:

I used the "Fix it" Wizard on the Microsoft Web site:

I hope it helps those who encounter the same problem.
