Hello @Gijs47,

Thanks for the quick response!

You are right!  It would be much easier.  My apologies, I thought you'd need pass through of the entire screen in order to access the Webcam.  However, it looks for your model, it is much more convenient.

Kind regards!

  • Pavillion DV5 starts to load XP, then restarts in a loop

I withdrew my Pavillion DV5 - 1251NR to act as office and archive hard drive for a long time when the battery is flat and it has stopped working without charger.

Startup message side that it worked fine but now it just won't start.

Takes me to the battery message, tells me there is no serial number (had not noticed before), load safe mode options, but the one I choose after starting to load Windows XP, a blue screen flashes and it restarts. Blue screen says something about the withdrawal of antivirus and running checkdisk software but I have no idea how to do these days. There is no option for a DOS command prompt.

If I walk it right guard this loop throughout the day.

System information shows serial, UUID, and Prod config ID n all white or 0. (no idea if it will help, seems odd). I ran the test of start-up that passes on each charge (memory, hd, hd smart system). Do not know what is the test of running, but it keeps restarting itself after he finished so it hits the same glitch probably like at boot.

Don't know, help please. I dropped the external drive that backed up recently and the wedding photos are here

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I have you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your Pavilion dv5. If it does not start normally and it will not start in safe mode, it is not a lot of things we can do. From what you have posted on the information system showing all 0, it could be a problem with the CMOS or RTC battery, but without being able to load Windows, it will be difficult to say.

Your best bet is to take it to a technician from the local computer. If he cannot understand the problem they should be able to connect the hard drive to another computer and retrieve the data off of it to record your wedding photos, that is assuming that it is not a problem with the hard drive.

  • Pavilion Dv5-2074dx: Pavillion DV5 home/screen replacement/station

    Nice day

I need help to identify my model type and screen compatibility settings for replacement.

The product is a Pavillion Dv5-2074dx and the screen is toast, was crushed in a luggage bag by an air carrier.

The device works well, but it is unusable with the screen in the current state.

    I have a few questions.

    (1) what is the best place to find a screen and what are the "Noo - Noo a ' when buying a replacement?

    (2) where can I find a docking station, and which is limiting the size of the screen to an external display?

    (3) is something that a guy who has replaced several screens parts and pieces of smart phone can handle the replacement?

    (4) should I replace the cable between the body and the screen as well?

OK so, technically, it was not a "few" and "many" questions.

The unit worked well for about 6 months a few years ago and has been inactive since.

I want to bring back to life.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

    Hello

    1 copy the following place:

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=WQ751UA

everything you need: right part # and you can also buy other stores such as Amazon

    2. I do not think that your computer has a correct docking port, but you can buy something like one of the following platforms

    http://WWW8.HP.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04155381.PDF%C2%A0%C2%A0%C2%A0

    3. Yes but it is better to see a dealer approved HP if you couldn't do it yourself

    4. No, there external por (s), you can connect from there, no internal. For a normal screen new screen should have cables to go with it.

The following manual will give you some ideas how to replace a screen:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02666786.PDF

I don't think that you need a dock. Your computer has VGA and HMDI ports, you can connect to an external monitor using seasonal ports. For best results, buy a monitor with HDMI port.

    Kind regards.

  • How to enable the USB Support after that it disappeared from all USB keys on computer, so that the Webcam & printers no longer work?

My Canon printer and my HewlettPackard printer-copier-Scanner, as well as my Web Cam just stopped working, and when I checked the Device Manager, I found that (IP), (PPPOE) WAN Miniports and (PPTP) had all of their disabled drivers.   I'm unable to re - activate these drivers, and my Web Cam and printers were not included.    Restoration of the system, and many re - start didn't help.  Microsoft Fixit did not help.   Can someone please help me solve these problems?

    Hi WaggaJohn,

    1. What happens when you try to activate?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. What happens when you connect the webcam to the computer?
    4. How the printers are connected to the computer?
    5. You are able to use other USB devices on the computer?

The WAN Miniport driver on Windows XP system allows to connect to some networks such as networks wireless large-scale.

    Method 1

I suggest that you uninstall all the software driver for the webcam and the printer to the computer using Device Manager and Add/Remove programs and then reinstall the updated driver from the printer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    (a) click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    (b) click on the hardware tab.

    (c) click the Device Manager button.

    (d) expand Bus USB controllers.

    (f) restart the computer to Windows reinstall all USB controllers on the computer.

  • HP Webcam 101 no longer works in Windows Vista__

I was in the middle of skyping when (Web you Cam) that is installed on my computer suddenly came as it did before.  Usually, when it happened, I just closed or quickly entered in the options and changed to the HP Webcam - 101 defining.  This time when I closed it, and it seems to have messed up the webcam settings.

I did everything went into Device Manager, input devices it lists USB camera.  When you go to

Driver in detail he has this list C:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbvideo.sys.
Details - description of property and value tells - USB video device.
General, said that the status of the device is working properly. When I select the update disc it gives me two options

(1)-> Browse my computer for driver software, locate and install the driver manually.  When I select this that put at the point C:\SWSetup\SP39902\V32, then when you press the next button, it tells you that Windows has determined the software device driver is up to date.

(2)-> Serch automatically update driver software.  Widows will search your computer and the Internet for the latest version of the software driver for your device...  When I select it with what happens to research online, then it down also with windows has determined the driver software for your device is updated.

I hope I have given you enough information to be able to help me get this working.

PS I now have uininstalled Web cam, my computer because I have also noticed that after the webcam does not work anymore.
When I opened the main flolder usual components in the folder were missing.  Reinstalled and it came to the top in the same way.  Infact now he just give me the option to renew it, but to a higher version.  It seems as if the old version is not available anymore.  Anyway HP Webcam-101 is what I use.

  • HP Pavillion DV5-1234SE does not start after the HP splash screen

I have a HP Pavilion DV5-1234SE, which will not load Windows.

It worked very well, I have stop him - and when I tried to start the next time, be put in place - but will only pass the first black screen with the HP logo. I'm trying to access the start menu, and tried to start in safe mode - but it will not go beyond the black HP screen.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up taking to someone and it turns out that the motherboard is fried. (Greaaat!)

Rather than waste $350,00 replacing I'm just going to get a new laptop (not HP).

  • Noisy fan on a HP Pavillion DV5-1004nr

    It's my computer: HP dv5

I only got about 2 weeks ago and the fan was perfectly silent, except when the CPU usage was around 80%. A few days after getting it, I tried to switch to Ubuntu (Linux). The fan has started to get a little stronger and a lot of things were not working well, so I decided to go back to Vista 64-bit. The noise of the fan declined, but it is still much stronger than when I got it, even when the CPU is less than 10%. How can I fix? Thank you.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I answer to say what was wrong.

I walked up to the House of my friend and plugged my computer directly into a socket, and he was perfectly quiet. So when I went back to my room, rather than plugged into the surge protector, I plugged it directly into the wall and it didn't make a sound. For some reason, the surge protector was either too much or too little power to the comp and the fan was in overload. Whatever the reason, it's on. So if anyone else has this problem and nothing seems to work, try to plug it into different places.

  • HP PAvillion M7U61EA #ABH: HDMI port no longer works

For the last few days I used the HDMI port to stream video and audio to two different TVs LG and Samsung monitor without problems. Directly into TVs or with an AV processor and even if sound was not always easy, I could run BB iPlayer and Netflixs without any problem.

Then, from today I don't get the laptop to 'see' the fact that I inserted the HDMI in the laptop. Tried several cables and confirmed that the HDMI inputs on all these devices was still working.

This did some research on the site of HP, Windows site, but couldn't find a solution. What to do next?

    @JanA1

    revised and updated

Given that you upgraded to Windows 10

You may have accepted a Windows 10 update the graphics driver, who stopped the discreet graphics card to function properly. Never install the Intel graphics driver separately on a switchable graphics capable laptop computer. Only the NVIDIA graphics driver HP sofpaq will allow him to work as expected. It's a proprietary driver that is not included in the driver store of the operating system and is not on Microsoft's servers.

The best solution to solve this problem would be to use the system restore window to restore the operating system to the State prior to the change was made. You lose no and restore photos, or other personal data using the system. It is completely reversible.

    Hello

It's completely up to you whether you reinstall the Synaptics driver.

The driver that is currently in use (that you have uninstalled the Synaptics driver) will be the device driver generic score provided by Windows - this should work fine for basic use.

If you want to be able to scroll, pinch zoom etc via the touchpad, you will need to recharge the Synaptics software, and then restart the laptop.

Or the other option is fine, it's just a matter of what best suits your needs.

  • Libretto U100: Powers Docking Station is no longer in place

Hi, I recently bought a U100 (finally updated my CT 100!). I have the reader Multi DVD docking station, which worked well at first, but now it is no longer lights up when I anchor my machine.

The green light on the side of the eject button is still on, but that's all. I follow the instructions, no power, no son ties etc, but still nothing. The manual talks about turn on the drive icon on the taskbar optical media. I didn't do it and cannot find any mention of anywhere.

    Help, please!

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what is happening with your booklet. I put t know how is your personal configuration and if there is something on the device that has a negative impact on any type of functionality.

If you said it was worked well I recommend you to retrieve the device with the recovery media.
You are able to open the DVD - rom?

Drive icon of optical media on the taskbar is probably the icon of CD/DVD Drive Acoustic silencer and it can make the drive quietly.
