• EX90 password problem

  I joined the web interface on the EX90 for the first time with the help of the admin without password successfully. I then change the password admin I entered a new password and click Save. He complained that I had not entered a pin code so I did and again hit record. After you save an error message come saying 'unhandled exception' and the web interface is locked. No matter what I was doing, I got during the transition to ip address was the same error so I rebooted the machine. Now when I try to connect to the web interface, none of the passwords I try to work.

  I also tried a factory reset, but it doesn't seem to work. I followed the procedure in the administrators guide and the machine starts normally as if I had not done something different and no message is displayed on the factory reset.

  How to factory reset by using the power button can be a bit tedious, but it doesn't work.

  Give it a few tries using the procedure described above:

  1. disconnect the power cable

  2 plug the power cable

  3. immediately when the Green led in the lower-left corner, press in and hold the power for 10 seconds (the led goes off) button until the Green led lights up again.

  4. press on the power button two times in two seconds (two short pulses)

• Help to apply the key to unlocking EX90 after upgrade

  I upgraded an EX90 to TC5 without adding the key to release first.  After the upgrade, I could still access the web page, but I had to unplug the unit to go home and I contacted TAC for the key to unlocking this morning.

  Now I can't the configuration web page to apply the license key.

  Any ideas what the problem is?

  You can hava a computer connected to the same network (same switch, same vlan, same IP range).

  Best have a wireshark running on this computer to see if you get something of the endpoint and tell us what is the result.

  * ping to the endpoint

  * ssh access (e.g. PuTTY)

  * telnet

  * https

  * http

  If it does not lead to you what it is, you can try factrory default reset:

  The serial cable would need to have the touchscreen connector,... not sure the pinout.

  If this does not work I would increase it to TAC

• Cisco MX200/MX300 & screen tactile EX90 and Crestron

  Does anyone know if they can control these units using a Crestron touchscreen?   I know the other c40/c60 c90, codecs, can be controlled via a screen touch crestron, but not sure about these.

  I ask because we put 8 of these units in conference rooms that already have a Crestron in them and want to use only one of the panels rather than having the two sat on the table.

  First of all, I want to mention that even if you try to use the Touch panels, it wouldn't work. The reason being that when Cisco Touch Panel is connected, it takes control of the OSD and it is not possible to control using other interfaces. I recommend that you use only the Crestron.

  Come to the second part. In Ex90, there is a maintenance RJ45 port at the bottom that can be used to combat it. If you can get the cable for RJ45 connected on Ex90 to one end of the cable and the other end to Crestron, I think you should be able to achieve the desired results.

  For the MX series, there is a serial port, allowing you to control the device, so I think you can plugin the Crestron using the serial port and you should be able to send commands to it and control it. However, keep in mind that if the Cisco button panel is connected, you could face questions by using the Crestron. For your reference, you will find the parameters of the serial port on the Mx series below:

  SerialPort Mode

  Set the COM 1 serial port to be enabled/disabled.

  Requires the user role: ADMIN

  Value space:

  On: Enable the serial port COM 1.

  OFF: Disables the serial port COM 1.

  Example: SerialPort Mode: on

  Referring you to update to 3.28.2? Where do you get this error message? Your iMac still running OS X Lion mountain 10.8.1? What exact model is your iMac?
