Phone cord 4632 Officejet printer

I'm not sure that the power cord from the wall outlet at the rear of the printer seems like and therefore can not find mine.  The instructions say to use the 'phone cord supplied' or any phone cord will work just as well?

Hi @clmcg ,

I see by your post that you want to know what type of fax cable to use. I would like to help.

For less interference, use a fax of 2 sons. You can use a 4-wire cable, but may have connection problems.

Here is a picture of the cable 2 son.

I hope this helps.

Good day!
Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610 - error setting up Fax Wizard I don't use a proper phone cord

I have a single line by Time Warner Cable telephone system that is a set which includes the cable TV, internet connection of road runner and digital phone. I use a system of wireless phone with a stand-alone answering machine which works very well.

I'll just put up my new printer Officejet Pro 8610 and crossed the Fax Setup Wizard to use my voice single line telephone and fax system just as I did with my old HP Multifunction printer it replaces.

Everything seemed to connect and to work very well when one had the Fax Wizard to perform the test at the end of the installation procedure. As a precaution, I ran the consecutive times to test with the answering machine turned on and turned off and twice he spent in all categories, and once it failed to indicate that the phone cord was not the right kind.

I used the RJ11 cable supplied with the printer, but it wasn't enough long reach the phone in the wall jack that I connected an additional RJ11 cord so it would reach. So the two cords to have only 2 pods as they should.

I am trying to determine why I get together and pass and fails with the same set up?  If I need one RJ11 telephone plug cord in the wall to the printer?  Or am I running a subsequent wizard test too soon after a previous?

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions about the reason that I feel this inconsistency.

    Thank you

    Hi coollx,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Officejet pro 8610 is indicating that you are using the wrong phone cord. I'm happy to help you with this problem of Fax!

It is possible that what you need is a cord of unique phone from the telephone jack in the wall to the printer.

I recommend to read these faxes guides:

  • Error "you do not use the Type of appropriate phone cord.

Having a problem with my fax on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless.  Tried to send a fax, it received a transmission error.  I run fax test and she came back with "you do not use the type of appropriate phone cord.  Nothing has changed since I last fax would be but I check the lines and connections, everything seems ok.  Phone jack is connected to 1 line and Officejet 2 - ext"is connected to the phone.  I use a dedicated phone # and the Officejet is set to auto answer.   I can call and receive calls on the phone to connect to the Officejet.  My hypothesis is that because I can use the phone without problem there nothing wrong with the phone line.  Any ideas?

I had the same problem.  I am using a phone cord 2-wire supplied with the printer and still get this error.  It turns out that it is bound to have a telephone connected to the printer.  If I unplug the telephone shape of the intake extension on the back of the printer, then the fax test passes.   I used even a cord 2-wire on the telephone, but it seems that the mere fact of having a phone plugged into the outlet of expansion will cause this error.

Run the test without a phone plugged into the outlet of extension of the printer and you should be fine.

    Worked for me!

  • OfficeJet 4632: Officejet 4632 installation Via the network

    Hello

I bought a 4632 Officejet (which AFAIK is the same as the 4630) at ALDI in Germany, and when I tried to set up for printing from a Windows 7 PC on the same network, Windows found "two": printers

-"HPAA6648 (HP Officejet 4630 series)' at the address http://192.168.xx.xx:3911 / (beginning with"http://"and with annex 3911 port)

-"Officejet 4630 series (HP)' at the address of 192.168.xx.xx (without"http://"and specific port)

What is the difference, and that should be used?

The only difference I see is that to access the 192.168.xx.xx since the browser gives me the web configuration page, while http://192.168.xx.xx:3911 / gives me a useless XML page.

Impression regarding both seem to print as well, using the same drivers.

    Hi @PietKram,

I understand that you see 2 printer and can print both of them all the same, but want to know that you should be selection.

I suggest using the 192.168.xx.xx (without "http://" and specific port). The reason is that it allows an open line of communication rather than restrict communication to the printer to a port. If you choose the one with the port, it might well work, that you have described, it is, but it can only be short term. If this port is blocked, you will probably be able to print.

A post scriptum, is that the computer I used first the printer has Windows 8.

  • Require an HP officejet printer

I want to buy a HP Officejet printer for my shop (Commercial use) that can be loaded with kit ciss (Continuous Ink Supply system) so what are the models of hp officejet and officejet pro that I can use?

Also let me know that some hp officejet printers have the print head and some don't? Do this ciss affect printhead kit?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

HP makes no printers for CISS systems. HP recommends the use of original HP ink to ensure the best quality for your printing to print. Of course you can choose according to your printing experience, but the reliability and longevity of your printing experience may not be as good as using original HP ink cartridges.

  • officejey4632: how to make letters with the numbers on the keyboard of my officejet printer 4632

need to put in the letter and numbers then how can I go from one to the other?

    Hey @septb5,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand you are trying to change from letters to numbers on your Officejet 4632 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

When you press a key on the keyboard repeatedly, he spends the lowercase, uppercase, then the numbers. So, for example, if you press the 5 button eight times the highlighted key will go j-k-l-J-K-L-5-j. If you the five necessary then press the button seven times. If you press these keys too slowly then the printer stops at the last key that has been highlighted. You can use the left arrow to the left of the screen to go backward one space.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. If not, have a great new year!

  • How can I print from my phone smart hp officejet 8600 window 7 64-bit

How can I print on my printer to my Android phone

You can do this in two ways:
ePrint printer (set up an email from the printer and send a document to the Android)
    * Use the HP ePrint home & Biz app that allows you to print directly to the printer of the Android

In both cases, the officejet 8600 should be connected to your network wirelessly or through ethernet. To start using home & Biz it android should be connected to the same wireless network that the printer is working correctly.

    I hope this helps.

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you are unable to print from PC. I would like to help.

Are you connected to a wireless network or are you connected to your PC via USB? If you use wireless, have you checked that the connection is intact? Press the wireless icon () - t - it show an IP address? If you are not connected, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to remedy. Subsequently, I suggest you click here to start printing HP and doctor Scan. • 4632 HP Officejet printer: hp officejet 4632 printer stuck printing alignment page

Help please.  My printer is stuck trying to print an alignment page.  I can't scan or copy anything to the printer.  I tried unplugging the printer with power, has waited more than a minute, reconnected and it did not help.

I tried the scan doctor and she also did not help - Alternatively found printer was 'busy', or scan doctor tried to print an alignment first page and is stuck there. If I "jump" impression of the alighment with doctor to scan page, it prints a test page, it finds everything works "ok." "" "." Print alignment page"bypasses to jump the"print alignment page"printing, and yet the screen of the printer still says 'now printing alignment page', is stuck and I can't always copy or scan anything from the printer.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions I tried to solve this problem for several weeks.  Thank you.

I think I've just fixed this problem after 3 weeks.  I actually tried the doctor print because it seemed to be a printing problem.  I just tried the scan doctor, he finds problems, led me through steps and printing and scanning seem to work now.  Phew!  That took much too long to fix, but glad it works again.

  • HP Officejet Pro K550: HP Officejet printing only in yellow

Despite the change of all cartridges in my HP Officejet Pro 550 k, I can't get the printer to print in uneven yellow?  I have reset the printheads several times and it has not solved the problem

    Does anyone have any suggestions

    Welcome to the @karandy forums

I read about the issues you are having with your Officejet K550 printer because it is only print Yellow ink in clumps. As you have already changed the ink, I wouldn't recommend this even once and unfortunately looks like an internal malfunction. However, please always try the rest of the troubleshooting steps in the guide that I found for you below.

If the problem persists, call HP directly to discuss your printer options.
