  It's really frustrating after subscribing to download all my photos to revel.

  After access of all catalog media' ticking, I have the following two issues:

  1 images appear individually to Revel and not in their respective albums according to the 'my files' in the Organizer. At least I have create another new folder in mobile albums (another more than 50!) - But why do I get this and create a lot of work?

  2. not all the images are imported, especially the more recent photos have not downloaded.

  I've updated to 12.1 elements - I use Windows 7 PC and Adobe Revel app on Android.

  As mentioned on my blog, when you synchronize 'all media' to the online account, it only syncs all your media in your destination library without creating a structure similar to records album mobile.

• Sort order in Photos when using insert pages

  Writing reports using Pages and photographs uploaded to the works of really good Photos. Except that I can't choose to launch Photos but must scroll to choose when I have to scroll again to access the correct album.

  I can work around the album by ensuring that it is at or near the top of the list of Photo albums but I find it really frustrating that I can't set default Pages to access the Photos, because it's almost the only thing that I need to "insert" in all documents.

  Any ideas or am I stuck with the option 'do scroll down and select "?

  I really don't understand why people don't use the Drag and Drop as Finder has many brilliant ways, transparent, flexible display and sort images.

  The notion that you need another application to hold all your gear (usually in a format incompatible and numbered from Apple), that to have Apple stuff that, everything for you in their next series of musical chairs of the Titanic, are so weird for me.

  All do as you are told just because they told you to do what you said and can't imagine doing anything else?

• Slideshow of sorting

  I'm starting to create a slideshow for a volleyball team which will take place in about 300 photographs that took more than four months. The photos are sorted in 12 albums of different types (hitting, blocking installation...) and each folder has pictures of all times to date. I created a project and I have drugs a few photos in the project, but there seems to be no logical sort order.

  What are the rules when the Photos are deleted in the project regards the sort order is?  And is it possible to make them appear in the order of the album, according to the order that I insert?

  As long as you use the themes of slide show advanced with several photos on the same slide, you don't have much control over the sequence of photos.  Photos, rearrange them to fill the predefined templates of slide.

  You have the best control, if you use the elder Ken Burns or classic. Then the photos will appear in the order you put them in the slide show film and you can rearrange them by dragging images autour.

• Which camera to photograph the paintings and then print postcards and greeting cards?

  I currently have a PowerShot SD600, but maybe I need a new camera for my purpose.  Those who would work for my application?

  I paint with acrylics and the pintings out for between 1 ' x 2 ' and 4 ' x 4 '.  I want to take pictures of them in order to have a professional printer to create postcards and greeting cards to sell in museums.  The printer indicates that it will use a 1200 dpi printer.  I really want the absolute best cards and the image that I can get.

  Should what resolution I take photos, how can I be sure that I take photos in the correct resolution (or is it adjustable after the fact), and that carmeras would work for this?  I have Adobe PhotoShop if it has no effect.

  I would like to use the camera for this purpose for about 6 images per year.

  I also sell houses and could use the camera for pictures of the housing list.

  With regard to the price I'm willing to spend up to $600, if necessary.

  If I were to try to do this on a budget...

  The camera LENS is more important that the body... then I would seek to lenses.  For this type of work, a macro lens will work better because they detail more high resolution capacity (even when you are not using them for close-up photography).

  The camera BODY is less important.  Your work is not in motion when she is photographed (it is not the sports photography or action) and this means that the features that are ideal for sports are not important for what you want to do.  You don't have to worry about performance in ISO or noise because you get control lighting (and you need control lighting.)

  An image will be generally well look at 300 dpi or more (even a little less than 300 dpi will look still good enough).  It will not look as good in 150dpi and some laboratories refuses to print anything less than 100 dpi (even if you insist) because they believe you hate and requests a refund (even if you insisted that they print it at such a low DPI).

  If your postcards are a size 4 x 6 "then a 18 megapixel print to 864 dpi (which would look fantastic).   Even a 5 x 7 would look great.  A size of 8 x 10 "would receive up to 432 dpi (which is always very well).

  If it's only 6 photos per year and you would shoot them the same day AND you don't think you would use the camera gear for anything else THEN... either (1) strongly consider hiring a person for the job, or (2) consider RENTING the equipment if you can't find anyone to do it (just be warned that it will be tricky).   You can rent equipment from places like LensRentals.com or BorrowLenses.com (and probably others I don't know about.)

  Camera

  Being budget minded, I would shoot it with a Canon T5 (18 megapixels - about $400 although if you get a refurbished unit you can get it for less).  "Renovated" is about $200, but I see the store gun shows them as not in stock right now.  You can also use a Canon SL1 (very slightly more expensive than a T5 but if you get a renovated body is $279)

  Goal

  A Macro USM Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 lens.  It's the power of resolution in detail above in point lowest price available in the line-up.  All other macro lenses are more expensive.  It is $ 419 at most merchants of Canon, but I see you can get a refurbished copy directly from the Canon store at $319 (and it's in stock):

  Tripod

  You will also need a tripod.  For light work as a T5 and a 60 mm macro lens, a tripod Manfrotto 190 series would be ideal, but Manfrotto is a reputable tripods, so they will not be the thing cheaper than you can find (but they are quality).  You will be able to find budget from companies like Slik tripods (not nearly as Manfrotto but it will be cheap.)  I'm not advocating normally buy tripods 'cheap' because they break a lot and now that you buy a tripod to replace the broken tripod you bought to replace the tripod broke before this one... and at the point where to add it you could have come by purchasing the quality tripod from the start.  Most of photo equipment is sustainable and does not need to receive the "white glove" treatment during the manipulation it - they can take a bit of a transition to tobacco and are proud to show their scars from the battle.  But if you buy a tripod at low prices... they do not so good shots... Be gentle.

  Cable tie

  I would also get a long camera USB modem cable (the cable that comes with the habit of the camera is particularly long) and allows you to set up a laptop computer connected to your camera so that while your camera is pointing to your paint, you can set the lights while watching your computer screen.  Search Amazon for "Attached USB Cable" and you'll see a lot of cables 15' that work.  It must be 'USB type A mâle' at one end of the cable (it is the most common USB plug) and ' Male USB Mini-B ' on the other end.  You'll notice brand cable 'Home tools' (about $37) and you'll probably also see the brand "Monoprice" (about $7).  Guess who I bought?  Yes indeed that cable $7 works just as well as the cable $ 37 (it's simply not painted "hunter orange").

  A Safety Board: attach a camera, it is possible that someone (you, perhaps) could tripod on the cable modem service, shoot it is hard and damage to the USB port on the side of the camera.  .... I use some Ribbon adhesive (adhesive tape is similar by the dint of... duct tape but duct tape leaves a VERY messy residue when you take it off and the tape adhesive comes off clean and does not leave a sticky, sticky mess, icky.)   Plug one end of the cable to the camera, give yourself at least a foot or two of slack and the cable on the tripod of bands so that if someone goes off on this issue, he's going to shoot the tripod instead of the device.

  Lighting

  Normally, it takes thinking of everything that has any amount of "shine" to it as if you are shooting in mirror.  If flash would be visible to you while looking into this mirror, then it has reflection will appear in your picture.  For this reason lighting is normally left to the sides (and I said 'Coast' (in the plural) because you will need more than one.)  If the flash is disabled on ONE side, while coast will get a stronger than the other side light and will cause lit image.  You'll therefore need to balance the lighting have lights on both sides.

  These fires are not necessarily photographic flashes (who would get expensive), but you probably don't want to use the daylight balanced lights.

  Bob has already pointed out the tricky part... most of the paintings are flat on the surface (oils, watercolours) so as long as the light is off on the side, you will see no reflections.  But acrylic have texture and you think that this 'texture' (since dired painting is brilliant) is little micro-miroirs to all sorts of crazy angles.

  I have never tried acrylic of photography, but my father was a painter and I'm familiar with the behavior of the paint and can well imagine the problems this will create trying to photograph.

  Circular polarizing filter

  If the light source from an angle (closed on the sides), then usually a polarizing filter can reduce this light reflections.  The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens has a diameter of 52 mm front filter threads.  This means that you may need to purchase a "Circular Polarizer" filter in diameter size 52mm to deal with Reflection.

  You can find inexpensive circular polarizers, but these are sometimes of very poor quality and create alterations in wobbly color.  Large filters thread names are B + W the Hoya "PRO1" brand series filters (budget fact Hoya filters too - line PRO1 which are good filters Hoya).

  Rental

  BTW... If you want to go nuts with the resolution of the camera and you plan to RENT equipment rather than buy it... my camera recommendation would be to move to a Canon 5 d and a Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro lens.  The 5 d is a 50 megapixel sensor resolution 8688 x 5792 pixels.  A 4 x 6 "print 1448 dpi format (well over 1200 dpi of resolution of your printer).  Format 5 x 7 ", it is still 1241 dpi.  A 5 d is not cheap (it's a $3,600 for the body 'only' camera).  So, I would not buy one to shoot 6 images per year... but I sure would rent one for work.

• Problems sorting on Lightroom

  I imported some photos from an iPhone to another. Made on the same iPhone, there are photos taken in both devices. Both have the same time settings.

  On the iPhone, the photos appear on the correct order.

  I imported all on iPhone to the LR.

  When I try to sort photos by date taken, it gets messed up (see attached photo).

  (1) photographs must be sorted into the capture time, as you can see in the picture.

  (2) look at the third line, 34 a photo was taken after photo 39.

  (3) I tried to re-read the metadata of the files, it was not fixed.

  (3) I m using the latest version of Lightroom CC, just checked in CC app, it set s to update at the moment (March 7)

  It shows both actual capture in the metadata Panel? The two pictures given gps?

• Sorting by Capture time?

  New digital photography I take seems to be perfectly managed by LightRoom 2015 CC, there is a time to Capture poster and when I sort a file or a collection of these 'capture time' it works as I expect, but when I take an old photo taken on an old camera or scanned recently or years ago that I'll meet serious problems trying to associate a date for the old photo and then have sort correctly and I have been reading and browsing for hours and have found no clues other than that stores Lightroom several dates and times with a photo I am sometimes (sometimes only) able to see in the EXIF metadata Preset and they understand :

  I don't see an easy way to change these fields, and they tend to "come and go" when you browse the different files with the same "EXIF Preset' selected. However, I can edit and sort by (yay!), called the Capture time, that would be great if it worked. But unfortunately edition the using metadata to capture Date/time / command menu to change the Capture time doesn't seem to change how this picture sorts out when 'Capture time' is selected for the type.

  The only other option triage is called 'Added order', which is perhaps one of the three metadata fields that I list above?

  It seems to me that someone above Adobe worked ENOUGH SACRAMENT HARD to make it so difficult! ::) or I have a damaged catalog or user, me, is missing some basic notion. In any case, I hope that everyone who reads this will forgive my attempts rather feble to hide my frustration in this. There is a lot of work to change the timestamp date 22 thousand pictures, especially when you have already done in Photoshop elements Organizer and little if any that is deferred and appartently needs to be redone. So yes, I'm frustrated, so forgive me and help me understand what is happening, refer me to something I should have read before starting this project, give me homework, I have a Lynda.com account, just please tell me not concerning the bug well documented with metadata in video editing, this is not what it is. Please do not give me great detailed explanations of the three options to adjust the Date/time of Capture on selected images, I've lived all this. I just need to know how to change a date field for a photograph that Lightroom will allow me to sort by and I don't like that it is or if I lose any reference to another date the file is trying to remember (I do not remember when the photo was scanned). And please excuse my tone! I'm really a fan of the product, but he left me speechless on this problem! ::) Thanks for the advice, suggestions and patience! : )

  Huge thanks to johnrellis and Just Shoot Me for pointing me in the right direction, I think I'll answer my own question since I think I know roughly what the problem was and what to do about it, if you use a Mac like me.

  (1) it is primarily a problem with scans, I received from ScanCafe.com, they have done a GREAT job but left something weird in there with metadata.

  (2) I went to the app store for Mac and bought this: Mac App Store - PhotoMill: batch convert, edit metadata, rename, resize, watermark and more

  (3) make sure that you understand about the file formats and how LightRoom manages metadata. In my case, I deal with JPGs and have LightRoom updated all the metadata automatically. If you are not familiar with this aspect of LightRoom, stop here and do some reading, you'll see why if you read on.

  (4) with closed LightRoom, I opened all the images of ScanCafe and essentially put the capture date, creation date, and modification date for the desired date, since I care anything else then will forgive for not work this up yet, but if you're like me and you have a digitalized picture just don't care when you analyzed the darn thing! Why change the date Mod? Because I don't know what I'm doing, so I just changed it, omniscient mod date will reset to the date I do other changes to this file, no biggie, I took just a shotgun approach because I was frustrated.

  (5) very important, once you're done editing all stamps date and time of all the images of your bad conduct, launch LightRoom and select all the images you just edited the metadata, then right-click on one of them and select metadata / reading

  (6) it warns you that you go to the wire of the writing of metadata in the catalog for these images, which shouldn't be a problem, because you have read step 3 above and you know that all the necessary metadata has already been written in the files. If you're good. Say very well and let it read disc and begin to sort correctly.

• How to propagate a collection in Lightroom Mobile custom sort order?

  I've created several collections in Adobe Lightroom on my desktop in order to show people a few selected images on various subjects and themes on my mobile. I am adding images in the collections that I find in no particular order and then sorting in my desired order and groupings.

  Many of these images on my computer are not in order of date because they are scans of original film or digital photographs of old prints.  It would be difficult to assign an 'original' digital image date because many of these images are difficult to date, it is easier to drag the images in my order of preference.

  On my mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) images displayed in order of addition to the collection not my custom sort order. How can I make sure that the display on my mobile order is identical to the desktop computer please?

  Hello

  I'm moving from Aperture to Lightroom and I can't find the answers to my problems anywhere.

  My problems spring from the fact that I have some requirements as a photographer, with a library of 320 and the need to keyword and sort my photos; but also the needs of a designer I want to combine Adobe illustrator, photoshop, PDF and jpg and sometimes word documents all together in the project files. I like to see these files/projects design in Adobe Bridge, because it's great for the visualization of all types of files and sometimes I like to load different images in a single photoshop file in different layers, a great feature of bridge. However, I don't have round using many other features of Bridge. My design files also include loads of inspiration/moodboard images that are often in the internet (registered on my desk) or my own photos (so in Aperture/Lightroom).

  I can't just import everything in Lightroom because it can't see the PDF and AI files. In addition, the irritation of having to import and re-import all time is a nightmare.

  So, I have to achieve a kind of mid-term review - which I've tried to do it with an opening, but it was not entirely successful. (if you ask me there's a niche for a professional software for people like me).

  I also have the additional issue that my hard drive on my Mac (current Yosemite) fills up very fast (900 GB on the disk of 1 TB) so I want to spend all my photos on a 1 TB external drive. I have studied how to do this and know intelligent previews.

  SO:

  How can I get my Lightroom put in place so that the bridge can read image files I want it, which are stored in Lightroom? For example, photography, I took to the purpose of inspire inspire my design projects.

  Maybe you should watch plugin AnyFile of John Ellis, which allows you to import any file in LR. It would change the basis of your questions, as you may significantly reduce your use of the bridge. If you want to see an individual file in Bridge, you can drag LR and drop it on the bridge in the dock.

With LR, photos remain in standard folders. Importing is more "registration" or "cataloguing", do not suck them in a package or a vault.

  Jeff does not refer to the import process. In the library Module, left, in the folder Panel, or Collection, you must select a folder or a collection, and then you can choose a manual sort order. If you have "All photographs" selected, you can't manually sort.

• Photo of sorting in the Sierra

  I recently returned from a trip and imported my photos in Photos. They are a mixture of photos from iPhone and my camera, but I have synced the time on both, they would then be in the correct order once mixed between them.  Because I was in the mountains, some photos have a geographical location, embedded, and others do not.

  However, in the Photos, it does not seem to be a way to sort everything by time. It is all the photos with the news of geographic location as a moment of consolidation, then showing those without much later in the order. This applies even to try to sort "Oldest first" album. The result is very disjointed and confusing, as photos taken seconds apart on the same subject appear nowhere near each other in the album sorted.

  Other than the manual update of hundreds of photos with an approximate location, or stripping all its location data, is there a way to get around this?

  Make a user photo album - either a standard album or smart album (smart album for pictures between certain dates is probably logical) and you can then sort by date/time, ascending or descending or title album (menu display == > sorting)

• Sierra sort mail - how?

  I have just updated my Mac Mini to 10.12 OS and use files within the post to sort the incoming mail under different headings, as 'recipes' 'purchases', 'friends', etc..  in order of date of receipt.

  Under the Sierra I seems to have lost this order for - how do I get it back?  It doesn't seem to be a column of date of receipt click on the topic, in order to reorganize the contents of this folder in descending date order, or indeed, any order date?  The positions are now only "from" and "subject", but nothing else - I'll have to look through hundreds of emails to find the newest - help, please!

  I activated my iCloud library and as little shared albums.

  In 'Moments' pictures are sorted right (as), but when I go to Album > all photos,.

  so, I see a lot of fotos mixed up. In the option, I see that "all photos" are sorted by date 'added' that still does not make sense...

  It's annoying because when I access photos (iOS) to some 3rd - party - app, it does not show 'moments' but albums like "all pictures" that is not sorted...

  The albums predefined in the Photos on a Mac are sorted differently, in order to have different ways to access your photos.

  • The sight of Photos with Moments and Collections is sorted by the date of Capture.
  • The album 'All the Photos' is sorted by the date that you imported photos, not dates, that the photos were taken.

  Albums that you set yourself can be sorted by title or date of capture. So you can set your own album "my photo all ' as a smart album (file > new Smart Album) by using a rule 'Date's after... ', for example:

  

  This smart album will contain took all the pictures taken since January 1, 1000 and can by sorted according to the date of capture.
