• Photosmart 5515: Windows 10 > 7 printer fail

  Hello

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 - some of my programs didn't work so I demoted (or upgraded (depends on your point of view!))  I've updated my printer software HP for Windows 10.

  Since I returned to Windows 7, my wireless printing does not work despite all the troubleshhoting, have both PC and printer on same network etc.  Print wirelessly from my iPad & iPhone still works fine - it's just the PC.

  I decided to uninstall all my HP software and reinstall from the disc, I got with the printer.  Now, I can not install any software from HP, including the drive and the detection software of the product on the support site.  I get the following each time:

  

  I tried the procedure described in this link , but it still doesn't work.

  I was also through the steps from HP support when found the solution online.

  Can someone suggest something else?  I downloaded a few free utilities like spybot but they installed OK, so I don't know if there is an installation problem.

  I went through several iterations recover my usb drivers and working properly. The last problem seems to be with the printer driver. I have just turned the printer off, removed the two printers from the list of devices and printers, and back in the printer market. The drivers once again and the printer "shadow" is back.

  I tried printing HP and doctor scan, and it is a photosmart 5515 says he was not installed. And there does appear to be a way to remove it from its list of HP devices.

  I don't know what to do next. I used windows xp for years and I'm quite familiar with it, but I'm still learning on windows 7, so I don't know what would be my next step in this process of elimination of the printer "shadow" disappear for good.

  It turns out that the greyed out printer still had something left in its queue. It was not connected to any port, so I plugged in the port for the regular printer, and it printed a few things. And now, the greyed out printer disappeared, so I guess that the queue to be empty. Problem solved.

  Product Photosmart 5515-B111H (CQ183B) running on Windows 7 PC. Software seems to have loaded ok. When the install window appears the USB and other connections are indicated, USB has been selected but the connection does not appear on the next screen.  When I looked at devices and printers from the start screen, the 5515 appears as a scanner without the attributes of the printer.  It disappears when the 5515 is disconnected.  How can I connect the printer properly?

  I have Windows 7 64 bit and a HP Photosmart 5515.

  I had to reformat my PC, and when I tried to install the printer, Windows Update has acknowledged, but cannot find the necessary drivers, while the HP software has not found the printer or with the IP address or the host name.

  The printer is connected to the network and works perfectly (we are able to print on my wife's computer), but on mine, it is not possible to connect.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I see that you are unable to install web services on your printer Photosmart 5515.

  When you try to set the DNS servers to Google Public DNS servers, so you set a static IP address first?    If this isn't the case, please set an IP address manually before the configuration of DNS servers manually.

  If you had created an IP address manually and are unable to set manual DNS servers, please call HP Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you do not live the USA/Canada region, please click here to find the number of Technical Support for your country/region.

  Follow the steps below to perform pprinting Duplex of Office for Mac:

  1. On the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.
     NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the product model (Mac OS X 10.6) or the view details button (10.7) see all available parameters. To select the connection type click the lowest selection box - Copies & Pages.
  2. Select from the drop-down.
  3. Set the duplex option as liaison Long Edge (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape).

  You can save the settings for later use by clicking predefined settings > Save settings as a preset.

  Try to go in the tools on the printer and to restore the default settings of the network.  He's going to knock it out of the network briefly but then set it back up as if it were the first time.  You meet intellectual property conflicts, and it is a first step in troubleshooting.  It can change the IP address of the original one, as well, but that is not a bad thing.  Let me know how it goes.

  II. would you continue here: impressions Printer Blank Page not printing black or color ink for the HP Photosmart camera, I understand, you may have made some of these steps already but I need you to complete all the steps in order to solve the problem of the missing black, you encounter.

  Please note: there are three stages of print head cleaning. Three steps if necessary. If the print head is badly clogged, it may require another round of cleaning. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last step of cleaning (third) to start the first stage of the cleanup process.

  If you are unable to print in black ink, I think that the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. You can contact HP Technical Support at the following link:

  (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

  (2) then choose "Contact the Support" tab at the top and scroll to the bottom of the page "HP Support - contact" to fill out the form with your details.

  (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Get a phone number." A file number and telephone number will now fill for you.

• Scanning Photosmart 5515 software problem

  How can I scan a document to multiple pages in a SINGLE PDF rather than many separate pdf pages. It seems to be on option in the scan multi software and its irritation of having to scan each page and then attach multi pages to emails to transmit the content.

  I used to be able to do that on my last printer Cannon - this seems a bit poor software if I can't do it again.

  You are able to scan a multi-page PDF document:

  If you want to scan a document with several pages in a single file instead of several files, start the analysis with the software of the printer instead of select Scan from the control panel:

  1. Click the HP Photosmart 5515 from the desktop icon.
  2. Click on scan a photo or Document.
  3. Select the Document to shortcut file (the PDF icon).
  4. Click on scan.
  5. Use the Plus icon to add pages.

  If still separated scanned pages, follow steps 1-3, and then click Advanced settings.

  Make sure that the option to create separate pages is not checked.
