Photosmart C410A printer, USB + connect network

Is it possible to have a C410A printer connected via USB cable to a PC and stay on a network for the other PC at home?

My laptop is on a virtual private network and needs to be connected USB, while other PCs in the House is on a wireless or wired network.

Can I use both at the same time?

Well Yes, it should work fine.

  • My new HP Pavilion Desktop PC has no option for my old Canon Pixma iP 2600 printer usb connection

    Greetings:

I can locate is no longer the installation disc for my my old Canon Pixma iP 2600 printer.  I am able to install it w / add it as a printer in the Control Panel, but the Office feature fails to read that the printer is connected via the usb cord.  I'm not find no possibility to install it as a usb printer.  Please help as soon as possible.  I can't afford to replace the printer and I have several documents that I need to print today or early tomorrow, or there will be dire financial complications for me.  I NEVER had that problem w/Dell.  (the operating system is windows 7, which is exactly what I was running on my old dell model - I searched this forum and find a similar question, but that the consultant has been able to find a usb option in the drop down menu to the port facility.)  that option is absent in my attempts).

    Thank you!

Interestingly, I discovered (after wasting a ton of time online and on the phone w/less useful HP tech) that the problem was in the two faulty usb ports on the front of this new processor.  at this point, I plan to return to the model of costco and return to dell.  Thank you for your help.

  • Photosmart 7520: Printer Wifi connectivity Photosmart 7520

This printer works well in a small office environment with a Wi - Fi connection.  It has been moved to a home office a piece.  The printer is installed with a wireless connection and works immediately after installation.  An attempt to print after the computer went to sleep or stopped the error message "Cannot communicate with the printer" appears and the impression is not accomplished.  By using the wizard to set up printer on the printer screen, the wireless LAN is located and displayed.  After entering the password, the printer is operational and print all documents in the print queue.  I uninstalled the printer driver, deleted all files associated with HP and reinstalled the latest full driver twice.  No change, the printer works for this session and then connect not when subsequent attempts unless the wireless Installation procedure is complete.

I have a same printer bought in the same place at the same time and worked in the same office as the above printer OK.  That 7520 does not connect to the wireless network after the appropriate network is displayed and the password is entered.  The print doctor shows a communication problem but has no solution.  All other wireless devices, including computers used in this location connect you and operate without problem.

It of a problem inherent in the 7520 series or is there another procedure that may correct the problem?

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Can you try using a TCP/IP port?

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

This video resource will show you how do:

Create & port use TCP IP

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

  • Jet P1102w laser: Printer USB connection error

    Hello

Whenever I have try to plug the USB into my computer to print something a message pop up to say will "the device you connected is not readable by this computor" it has two options - ignore or eject. If I ignore the message, the printer seems to be offline. If I ejected, well, it is ejected.

My computer is not the only one experiencing this problem. Two other laptops have been discovered to get the same message. They are all three Macbooks.

We've had this printer for two years now and it has just started to happen. The printer also has many other issues that we pushed through, and it seems unfortunate to stop on it now; Help, please.

    Thank you!

    Greetings @KirsiAS,

Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! I see that you have problems with the printer is recognized. I will do my best to help you with this problem.

Something on the Mac is to recognize the printer such as a hard drive. Because the printer has a feature called Smart Install, which installs only the printing automatically on Windows software.

Try unplugging everything, make a full stop down on the printer, and then connect the USB cable to a Mac, while the printer is still off, then start the printer.

You have Parallels installed on the Mac?

Temporarily disable Parallels, for the Smart Install is recognized on the Mac.

If you do not have Parallels, then we will need to turn off Smart Install to install the printer on the Mac.

  • Photosmart C410A: HP Solution Center install on 2 PCs for the same printer

I have two PCs running Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and a HP Photosmart C410A printer, wireless connections to my network.  The solution Center has worked well on the first PC, it was installed on.  I tried to install it on my new PC, but I get an error on USB hardware and software; It will not attempt to connect and install wireless.

My question: can you run Solution Center HP of two different PC for the same printer Photosmart C410A?

    Thank you.

    Yes,

You can install the HP Solution Center software on several computers connected to the same netowrk as your printer.

Try following these steps to solve the USB error during installation:

Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.

Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
    Open the installation folder.
Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) and run the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

    Kind regards

  • Photosmart 1115 on a home network

I've recently set up a home network with a host running XP and another computer running Vista.  My Photosmart 1115 printer is connected to the XP machine and is shared.  When I try to connect the Vista computer to 1115 printer, I get an error of the pilot saying that the "the server for the HP Photosmart 1115 doesn't have the printer driver installed.

So I go to the HP website and there is no driver available for Vista 1115.  So I check out some of the forums.  There are workaround posted this use other pilots, but they apply only to local printers.

How to use one of the workarounds when I connect to a network printer?

    Thank you

On the Vista machine follow these steps: Navigate to the Printers folder, add a printer, local printer Port, Create \\xpmachine\printername (use the actual share of names for the xp computer and printer share names), then in the list of printers click Windows Update, and then select the set of Deskjet 970 in the list.

    @dnglostine
EFax does not support the printer you have. The printer that support eFax is rated HP Photosmart 7510 Series, HP Envy, HP Photosmart eStation C510a 110 series and the HP Photosmart 6520. The printer that you have listed support regular analog fax.

  • Wireless laptop cannot connect to Photosmart C5180 printer on network

I recently got a new computer, which is the main connection to our home network.  We have a laptop and a Photosmart C5180 printer.  I can't get the wireless laptop to connect to the printer, even though I have the shared printer on the pc.  I have the printer connected to the pc via a USB cable.

I see the printer shared and available on the laptop, but get the error message when you try to print.

Does anyone know what I'm missing that will allow me to print from wireless laptop?  It worked until I'm the new pc, so I know I'm missing something.  Should the laptop have both installed printer software/drivers?

Yes, the printer directly connected to a router with an Ethernet cable will be the simplest solution.

Yes, all computers will be able to access the printer on the network as long as they are connected to the same router (Ethernet or wireless, regardless).

He shared from the computer and the printer connected to a computer with a USB cable are not a real printer on a network.  This creates what is essentially a print server and the computer with the USB connection manages the interaction of this printer with all the devices on the network.

A USB connected printer sharing can be done, but it's a lot more work that the printer is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

It's really a lot more work to set up the printer with a printer shared over a network connection USB method true when it comes to do this with Windows 7.

Windows XP made it incredibly simple, but he was not very secure on a network.  With Windows XP, all you had to do was to share the printer, and then install it on another computer.

With Windows 7 on both computers, you must configure a homegroup, enable file sharing and printers (disabled by default), share the printer and install the printer on the computer client / remote.  In addition, this method will require the host to be on anytime for remote printing machines.

The printer is connected to the router with a Ethernet means that the functionality of the printer depends solely on the router being on (most are on 24/7).  Computers will print regardless of the other computer either on or off.  There should be a shorter time in the impression that a computer is responsible for printing rather than two computers.

Again, I will be more than happy to help you set up with the method USB shared with two Windows 7 computers if that's what you want.  You find that it is much easier to use the Ethernet connected method to be simpler and more efficient to print well.

If you want, here's a little more information from Microsoft on sharing a printer between two units of Windows 7.

    Setting up a homegroup

Activate the file & printer sharingand sharing the printer on a Windows 7 computer

As long as the printer & file sharing is enabled and two Windows 7 computers are in the same group of residential, you should be able to use the USB share method.  Without these two two options being Setup, it simply does not work with two Windows 7 systems.
