• Photosmart C4795 prints not (most of the time)

  I have a Photosmart C4795 installed on two computers, one with XP, the other Vista. Installation (with the Vista computer) went well, and all tests and some documents on the XP one and myself. After a few months, he started to give me a "document not found question '. I discovered that I needed to push hard enough to get the book far enough, but not too far. Now (on the XP computer) it says its printing, extracted in the document, then sits until I get an error message on my computer. I went through all the guided solutions and none worked. The XP computer is a HP Mini 1000, and HP update doesn't change anything.

  I got to work by sending the document again, and then cancel the print job wrong on my computer, and after that it was cancelled on the computer to cancel on the printer. At the point where the paper ejected I placed it on the tray at a time an inch away where I was told in the animations. Then he started on the second print job and worked (he stopped because I only had one page, but took over when I placed the book in the same place and pushed OK.) • Photosmart 5520-printing from browser job queued sticks

  Running Windows 7 32 bit home edition and I am trying to print 9 Explorered Internet consistatnly.

  Since the purchase and installation of the 5520 printer, I've been running the questions where the jobs are in a print status in the queue but nothing comes out of the printer.  The printer is configured to print from WiFi and happens on all 3 of my computers.  I need to remove the task from the queue and then stop and restart the spooler before work service removes it from the queue.  I can print from Word, Excel and other applications, but when printing from the browser it happens at least once a day.  I would say that if a website has a button "print" the problem does not occur, but when you select just print in the menu of the browser, it happens more often.

  It becomes very annoying and would like this to be resolved.  This never happened with my Canon Pixma printer that has replaced this printer.  I ran the HP printer diagostics and there no question.

  The problem is caused by a conflict pilot between IE 9 and the print driver. The solution is to uninstall IE 9 and use IE 8. Normally, this solves the problem. If this isn't something you want to do, there are other options. First of all, you can try using another web browser. I'll include links to Firefox and Chrome downloads. Another of the options, is that you can try to use a different printer driver. I would add as well the instructions below. Hope that helps.

  To use a different print driver for printers HP with Windows 7:
  1. click on the start menu.
  2 click devices and printers.
  3. right click on your printer.
  4. Select printer properties.
  5. click on the Advanced tab.
  6. click on new driver.
  7. click on next.
  8. Select HP in the first list.
  9. Select Deskjet 450 in the second.
  10. click Next.
  11. click on finish.
  12. click on apply.
  13. click OK to close the window.

  It's strange. I recommend that you uninstall the software completely. Reinstall the complete and updated software in place the wireless again.

  Oh, you must keep the firewall on the installation.  The installation software configures the firewall for your installation.

  I reinstall the printer with the active firewall.  Go to control panel > printers & devices and delete the printer.  Then click Start > all programs > Hewlett-Packard > C4700 series and 'add a device '.  All this with your firewall active.

  Have a home network of XP machines that allows to print on a HP 3030 printer that is usb attached to a wireless Win XP Pro SP3 desktop.  Find everything HP/fine print.  Added a portable W7 Home Prem 64 b, changed the name of default WORKING group-> of the existing XP Workgroup. W7 is attached 3030 fine on the net, but:

  Trying to add the printer results in: "Cannot find the driver on the network..." "One needs. INF file.  Try to find such a file locally fails; configuration to add a printer to look at Windows Update also fails.  HP.com says that support this printer is "Windows7" - I can't find a driver. INF file to d/l.

  Suggestions welcomed.  Is it really a driver problem or a W7 problem Windows XP Home edition?  Thanks in advance.

  Endnote: W7 laptop can print to HP if it is local/USB-connected directly to the 3030, so the driver 3030 in W7 works; the problem seems to be in queue a task to the WXP since the W7 over the net.

  OK solved this problem; If anyone has this problem go on the W7 Forum in this same topic for my post/reply.  The solution is to add the WinXP printer as a local printer via a Local Port; a W7 driver must be available on the W7 machine of course...  Solution has been posted for the same problem under Vista.

• Photosmart C4795 wireless problem

  Hi, I tried to configure connect wirelessly with my mac (OS 10.5.8) but I can't seem to access it.  When I search the online ip address I can pull up all the information from the printer, but when you try to add the preferences--> printers/fax system there is no recognized printers available.  When trying to set up by the disk, that I am unable to connect wirelessly via usb - all I get is an error saying that my mac has no access on the network even if it does.  The printer wireless network test report, there is no problem found.

  I can add the printer directly by the option ip address when adding new printers through the system preferences, but the only thing that printed successfully is through the hp utility test page - whenever I try to print other documents it stalls and loses the connection to the printer.  I don't know if I added it by intellectual property through system pref properly because of this.  Everything works fine from my pc.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

  If it prints very well from your PC, then I will assume that it is connected to your network OK.  We'll take on the Mac:

  First thing to try would be to reset the printing system:

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
  -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  If she is not there, restart your router and look again.

  Also, tell me about your network - router brand/model, type of encryption (WEP, WPA, etc.) and ISP type (DSL, cable, etc.).
