Ping spikes knows every 8 to 14 seconds

I run a MacBook Pro 13 "Medio 2014, recently I've been trolling peaks on my wireless network, especially when playing games. I tried to use the ping tool and got the following:

As you can see, every 8 to 12 seconds or so the ping spikes. I also have the symmetrical experience drops in bandwidth when, for example. update of a game in steam, I guess these are related.

I tried to use a different router at my place of work, but the problem persists; the tips of ping every 8 to 12 seconds. I tried to change channels on my router at home, nothing helps, my ISP upgraded the firmware of the router, but with no effect on the tips of ping.

I tried to find a solution online, but I couldn't find anything for this case. I have an idea that the spikes are perhaps caused by my macbook pro to roaming for wireless signals, but the only solutions I've found regarding this issue relate to the PC.

Maybe this is caused by the update of January in El Capitan?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Mljodense:

When you click send ping was he set up to send a number of pings or have you click you send an unlimited number of ping.

    Hi Beckdavid,

Before solve us the problem I need more information on the issue, that you face.

-What do you mean by Ping Spike every 10 seconds?

-Do you mean are you lose internet connectivity?

-This only happens when playing online games?

-Should he behave normal when you play the game online?

-C' is comes up with a particular game or all games?

Also access the link for how to ask a question and publish the exact details of your problem.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555375

However, if you are facing this problem only for the online game you try to purge the DNS and check if it works normally.

To clear the cache of DNS resolution, perform the following steps:

    1. Click Start.
    2. In the search box of start CMD.
    3. In the list select CMD and right-click on it and click Run as administrator.
    4. At the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns, and then press ENTER.
    5. Restart the computer and check that it works very well

I hope this helps. Let us know the result.

  • Problem SOLVED [ping SPIKE]! (if you have ping spikes, it is probably the answer)

    Hey all,.

If you have a ping spike/temporarily stopped in connection with your wireless adapter, this is probably the solution for you!

You can read my story here of my previous thread about my problems and solutions I've tried along the way.

    http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/Linksys/board/message?board.ID=Wireless_Adapters&thread.ID=22612

I have not yet official Linksys promised support they'd contact me and have not found a solution here in the forums I took matters a little further and did the research myself to fix this problem.

See my response below direcly for the solution.

So, the problem is mostly with people with linksys adapters and vista 64 (could also affect other OS, but found 64 a lot more when searching).

    1. If you have 64 bit vista drivers, first download drivers 64 bit XP linksys for your card, then uninstall your current drivers completely removing them (via Device Manager) and all managers of linksys (via Control Panel > functions of the program)

    2. restart your computer.

    3. install 64-bit XP via Device Manager drivers > network card (should have an exclaimation mark next to him now) > update driver (then point on where the driver XP 64 is, to ENSURE that it has no. OTHER DRIVERS in THE SAME FOLDER! so after you download linksys files, DELETE ALL FILES BUT THE XP 64 bit ones.)

    4. connect to your wireless router, then go to start menu > type cmd (open in administrator mode) > type [command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = no interface = "Wireless network connection"] (without the square brackets []), replace with all wireless network connection this as your network connection, your computer connects to.  You can check that you are connected by going here... Control Panel > network and sharing Center > manage network connections

Now you should have no problems with your connection, as well as ping spikes, check that it works by going to your command-line typing ping 192.168.1.1 - n 100

change the 192.168.1.1 to all what your router address, at the end of the audit, there was no spikes high and everything works!

Here is the part the shit, every time that you start your computer again or lose the connection with the wireless signal, you must re-enable the automatic configuration service in the cmd prompt, command netsh wlan set autoconfig enabled = yes interface = "wireless network connection".

And once you have connected to your router, you should disable this auto config connection.

I don't know how it will work on any other OS, but I guess it will be a similar solution (unless this question is strictly caused by 64-bit)

Now, seeing as how my other wireless adapters do not have this problem, I think that there is a problem with linksys and their drivers for these affected products. It of a gene to do these things, but I guess that's how things will work up to linksys sees this post and if everything goes well he corrected with a new driver update :-D

Feel free to post your success stories here! I will accept responses and congratulations in lieu of payment :-D

And if a moderator can sticky, I think this will help a lot of people because I noticed a number on these forums with this problem.

  • Firefox regularly (every 8 to 15 seconds) freezes for 1-3 (in seconds) after a half hour of work

Firefox crashes on a regular basis (every 8 to 15 seconds) for 1 to 3 seconds after half an hour of work. I freshly installed my windows and firefox (without extensions), but the hook has yet occurred. Don't know how to solve this problem. Maybe it's a memory problem? (I have 4 GB of RAM, which should be enough). When it crashes, it leaves to scroll through, write or do something else, but if I try to do, he says, but after a few seconds. This happens regularly, it's very annoying, especially when it crashes looking at youtube - video stops, turn on audio and a video catches up with a video after a few seconds. Thank you very much for the help.

    This has happened

Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If that fixes it, disable extensions 1 by 1 to find the culprit.

Yes, it's nothing unusual, because the fan starts to turn a certain temperature level is reached.
There is a temperature sensor, and if the temperature drops to a higher level modules cooling starts to cool internal as CPU, GPU devices.
If the temperature drops then the fan slows down.

I tried earlier versions of the Ralink drivers, nothing solves the problem.  What is interesting, it is same when I'm on WiFi from UBS, if the Ralink is not disabled, there will always be the question.  (Although I am CERTAINLY connected via USB wifi.

It's a real pain, since I use Remote Desktop a lot, and whenever that happens, my connection to the DRC crashes.

  • indicator circle active every 6 or 7 seconds.

Circle of rotation indicator (the meaning of which I'm unsure) next to the arrow pointer spontaneously active @ all the 6 or 7 seconds, remains active for the same length of time.  Regardless of what I do, or what is open on the computer.  I can be online or off power, WiFi can be enabled or not and continues even as I type this.  Also happens when shows that the office and I'm engaging in no activity, online or not.  It all started a couple days ago.  I ran my AVG scan and analysis of Microsoft, which none has detected no problems.  Other than the computer works normally, can I have one problem, other than just be bored and distracted by the appearance of the circle?

I think I have it solved.   Last night I turned off my newly installed wireless printer, and he was always out today when I posted above.  Earlier, I turned on the printer and the 'problem' is stopped.  For lack of a better way to express it, I guess that what I called 'the problem' is an indication that the computer is looking for the printer, and the 'problem' disappears when he finds it.

Does make sense?  And NO, this isn't an April fool!

  • Firefox 4 beta 11 automatically refreshes the hotmail every 1 to 2 seconds, its so annoying when reading emails

whenever I opened my Hotmail Inbox and try to read an email, Firefox keeps on self-identity, and I can't read my emails or check anything because it's just warn on refresh the page itself, I noticed this problem only with my hot mail when my Hotmail account is connected.

This is a known bug and Microsoft are working on a fix. They intend to fix this before Firefox 4 release candidate phase stretches.

One solution is to change a preference in Firefox:

    1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press on enter
    2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    3. Search the html5.enable preference and double-click it to change its value false

If you do, don't forget to set back to true preferences by double-clicking it, once again when Firefox 4 release candidate is available, the bug should be resolved by then.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs

Restart your system and if the problem persists, try another keyboard. If it works now, your keyboard is sloppy.

For the past two years now, I had huge ping spikes every 2-3 minutes and is two months ago I wanted to solve the problem. I looked at the issue and of course I found people with the same problem and even provide tools to resolve. The problem is that my laptop is automatically search for nearby wifi networks, causing of the huge ping spikes, as seen here. The tool had stopped my computer from searching nearby wifis, it worked for about a week before I began to experience ping spikes again, the program had suddenly stopped working (I reinstalled it several times). then I looked at once more the question and found another tool. Parasol, it stopped working as well and I have no idea why. I tried to reinstall both programs, restart several things to look for other alternatives to google, but I found nothing. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, I would be very happy!

    Hello

There is a particular configuration for cards wireless called roaming aggressiveness that indicates the rate at which the wireless client automatically selects and switches to another wireless with a better signal quality. This can be checked on the advanced settings of the driver for your wireless card.

To get help on the configuration of roaming aggressiveness, we suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the device. You can check this link to find the addresses of the OEM.

    Kind regards.

  • Lock screen and mouse L850 satellite every 2 seconds

    I think I have a hardware problem with the Satellite PSKDLA - 0C800R L850.

It is a laptop I bougth to my wife but he has ended up with my stepson of Uni studies. While he had it the hard drive is not one of his friends replaced. twelve months later, he advised it was gone blackscreen and G'nort would turn out.

I finally got hold of it again and managed to drain the power remaining and replaced the CMOS battery remove a strip of RAM and it starts fine. I've proved a faulty stick so that left aside. Then I realized that there was a problem with the screen and the mouse

. The screen would brighten up (wash out) then Flash and stabilize. First thought was video chip or the driver.
At the same time would lock the mouse. When the screen clears the mouse would again.
Happening every three or four seconds but now every two seconds. It is more difficult to do something.

Have reloaded many drivers, but I think it is material, but not sure if it needs a motherboard or processor.
    Can you advise?

I forgot to mention that the image of the screen is slightly down from senior management.
Tere is a few millimeters of black with a white line on the top edge of the image.
This white line seems to come on and off with the locked mouse synchronization and the screen. This is another indication of the problem or the backlight?

Hi, have you checked the thermal paste between the CPU and the heatsink?
CPU fan blows hot air outdoors?

  • My computer beeps every seconds 18-20

My computer beeps every 18 to 20 seconds, then we love it it will shut down immediately!
    Is this hardware problem?

    Hello

In my opinion, this is a typical symptom of a malfunction of the equipment. On this path, it is not easy to say what may be the problem. You must contact the partner in your country. I think that just systematic check can give more answers.

    Good bye
