PORT SELECTION

I'm creating a testbed set in labview that uses 8 ports. When it comes to the user to select the ports for each device, I would like to see if it is possible to select only the available ports. For example:

Device 1 COM1

Then for camera 2, I want to the COM1 not to appear when you select the port.

Is there a way that this could be done?

Thank you

Cosmica

Note: I assume you are using something like a menu control ring. Yes, it is possible, but I suggest using the disabled items property. It is easier to use this property that fiddling around with the removal of elements of an array. For each control all what you need to do is build an array of values for each of the other controls you have and wire this table to the disabled items property. This effectively disables all items that have been selected in other controls.

There is, however, a defect of the premise: what happens if you have a value selected for each control? At this point, there is no way to change the value for one of them because all of the choices would be disabled. So, you would need some kind of button "Reset".

I have acer Aspire V3 - 471G laptop with usb 3.0 port. In this port, it says usb charging device

the manual also says it can charge when connected to the laptop via a usb port.

If I insert the USB key, it allows to use, but when I connect the mobile to laptop using data cable the mobile isnot responsible... Why? Please help me... I m in prblem... I think that usb 3.0 is not damaged but not chargin... makes me using trouble.please! 11

If the USB 3.0 port sees the other USB devices correctly, we know that the USB port works correctly.

This does not guarantee that load power supply is working properly.

Make sure that the cable is a charging cable.  If this does not work, you may need to contact the Department for further assistance.

  • How can I get the vi to wait for the user to select a COM port?

It is a problem when I run the application.  If the selected COM port is not currently connected to the material, then I get an error.  I can then select the COM port, rerun the application and everything is fine.  But I want the application to run when it is called by the user and wait until the correct COM port is selected.  I'll settle for any COM port selection and put the responsibility for the adequate selection on the user.  Thank you all.

Of course.  It works fine now.  Thanks MikeS81!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Selection easy printing on tray 1 or 2

We have an Officejet Pro 8620 with extra paper tray. Tray 1 for Virgin paper, tray 2 for the paper with the logo of the company.

Now, when we want to print to tray 2, we reject Tray 1, whereas, after a few attempts the software switches to tray 2 and printing begins.

It is possible, before printing, to change the setting in the software, select printing for tray 2. But it's pretty heavy.

We want an easy way to select printing for Tray 1 or the tiroir2. For example, as seen in other environments, so that we can choose to print on:

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (Tray 1) or

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (tray 2)

This could be seen as a separate printers. How can we achieve this?

Change the setting every time, is not a good option. In addition, we have other software that we want to configure so that they automatically print to the correct bin.

    Thank you!

  • Blocking ports using a virtual Super Hub 2ac (VMDG490) machine

    Hi all

My first post and hoping that it is in the right place. A few days ago, I received my upgrade to a SHub1 to SHub2ac. After a speed problem. I created 4 blocking rules port for one of my computers successfully, but when I try to create the same blocks for my other computer I get an error of "the port selected range overlaps with an existing rule".

I gave the rule a new name and have obviously used the ip addresses of the other boxes on the network. It worked well on my old SH1 then why not on an alleged update?

VM, I called and they had no idea if it was possible and showed me tech, alas, they had no idea that is then reported to me their salary for support Dept. They said it couldn't be done? As a Department tech VM and the pay per help guys were unable to offer advice, other than to block ports through your firewall software. Can be done using Bitdefender, I can see (it's another can of worms in itself).

Any help or advice of Netgear technicians or other users of the popular home network. As seems a downgrade of the former 1 SuperHub that would allow any amount of blocks of port by using port numbers providing the name of the rule was different and the IP addy has been changed, is there a possibility of a upgrde of firmware to re - enable this option? Or the guys from VM need to RTFM

Any help is much appreciated in this matter.

    Best regards.

  • Router not configured for port forwarding

I use a modem wireless to my ISP, they block all ports less than 1024 and I need to forward ports 80 & 440

    How can I solve this?

If you configure your router for a LenovoEMC Personal Cloud and always see the message, "Not configured router for port forwarding" under personal cloud Configuration, one or more of the following ports are probably blocked by your internet provider (ISP): 80, 443or port selected in the range 50500-50599 .

Port 80 is used for internet access (HTML UN-secure) in general. If this port is blocked, but the ports 443 and 50500 are open, the Personal Cloud will work correctly even if the error message appears.

Port 443 is used for remote access on the host network storage device. If this port is blocked, but the port selected in the range 50500 is open, you will be able to use the Personal Cloud LenovoEMC and invite others to use it, but you will not be able to access your network storage device via the Internet URL. (See answer ID 30773 for more information on access remotely through Personal Cloud LenovoEMC.)

A port in the range of 50500-50599 must be routed through the router to use the function LenovoEMC Personal Cloud. If this port is blocked by your ISP, you will not be able to access the Personal Cloud to your network storage device or invite others to join the Personal Cloud. (For more information, see answer ID 29070 .)

  • VISA serial port automatically configures scan of the available serial ports?

I am using a VISA set a serial port to open a connection to the serial port, to enter data, make some manipulation of array and display it.

My VI works perfectly until what I have build in exe and transfer it on a laptop with a USB converter to port series (as the laptop does not have a serial port).

Windows allocated the converter to COM9, but I do not see it in LabVIEW.

Do I need to use something like 'Find VISA resource'? If it does find something how can I change the name of resource VISA?

I have attached a screenshot to give you an idea of what I'm doing.

There is absolutely no reason to use all of this code. The original order of resource VISA name should work just fine. Have you installed the runtime VISA on the laptop? If so, did you also install MAX, so you can check the VISA resources on the latptop?

In addition, since an exe file will run automatically when opening, have you provided a mechanism for a com port selection until the program begins the acquisition of VISA?

    Your question is confusing.

What is the Device Manager has to do with your question?

You have the printer driver on CD-ROM or downloaded?

If you mean there is no entry in the drop-down list, as shown in this image: http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Printers/Add_Printer/03_%28Local%29/01_%28Use_Port%29_%28Select%29.shtml then you need to check the "Create a new port" to create the USB port.  Especially with HP printers, however, it is preferable to use the installation software as HP uses a USB port to measure.

2 Select all Control Panel items.
    3. open devices and printers.
    4. at the top of the window, select Add a printer.
    5. Select Add a local printer.

    8. Select the next button.
    9. in the manufacturers section, select HP.
    10. in the printers section, search for your printer model and select it.

Note: If your printer does not appear in the list of HP, select nearest LaserJet series model number.

Click the Windows Update button. WU get the database driver for all HP printers.

Note: the search may take a while.

When the search is complete, go back to the HP section and your printer should now appear there. Select it and click the next button.

Your printer appears in the printer name box, click Next again and the printer will be installed.

  • Port RV180 transmission problem

I wanted to send a range of ports on a RV180, so I created a service for them, but when I go to the port forwarding page, it seems that you must enter an internal port number, which is a problem, because with a range not sure what was the incoming port, and also you can not enter a range in the field internal port even when. Online help, he mentioned an option for this:

Before port: select same inbound port if the traffic
should be sent to the same port as the incoming traffic or specify
Port if incoming traffic must be sent to a particular port.
Port number: the port to which the incoming traffic must be addressed to the
    specify port option is selected.

But this option does not exist in the interface. There is only the internal port field. It's certainly an oversight? If you can not forward a range of ports within a service that you create, what point you afford it to create in the first place?

    Hi Matthew,

With RV180, we have redirection port to the LAN beach. (tested and working)

    Please follow these steps:

    1. According to Firewall--> setting advanced--> custom Services

    2. Add the port range, then choose the Type of Protocol (Please if you have only the port in the port range forwarding delete them)

    3. under firewall--> access rules--> add the following rules

    4. of WAN LAN, Action : always allow Service : your service, Source: all, Dnat: private server IP, status : activate, SAVE

--> Now if we want to check you can go to port forwarding, we will see the rule added automatically and in the inner harbour are EMPTINESS --> please do not change the rule for port forwarding, otherwise, the router will be expected to put the internal address

--> If we want to test (if you have the router in test area and you do not have the server connected locally) please follow these steps in order to confirm our configuration

0 Please install wireshark (packet sniffer)

    1. under Administration--> diagnostic--> the Capture of packets

    2. Select LAN and start to capture traffic

    3. from customer outside trying to access for access with the public IP address with another port already configured for access (from the publicip:port browser) rule

    4. stop the packet capture and downloaded

    5. open with Wireshark and filter by "tcp.port is xx" you will be there the request arrives at the LAN it means the firewall allows the port (number xx:port)

    ------------------------------

Here a screenshots of my test: (I have 70-80 TCP port range forwarding) in-house IP 192.168.1.100

  • Internal NETWORK - no port channel (discovery of chassis policy)

I noticed that I have a link connecting the preference of the group to put anything on my DISCOVERY of the chassis/fex policy

then I noticed that the tab LAN subnet internal, there is no port selected channel.

When I change the policy to 1 link and channel ports and reack chassis, I see 4 ports under the internal LAN port channel.

Is it necessary to change the channel ports policy or can I just leave it to zero?

    What would be the difference?

Best practice is to use the port-channel between IOM and FI; (This requires second-generation material for FI (62xx) and IOM (220 x)

If your discovery strategy is set to 1 and you ack frame, it will automatically create a pc of 4 links.

  • MainStage 3 - sends the Midi file

    Hello.

Someone at - it service send a Midi file in MainStage 3 to work?

The synth gets midi when I play the midi keyboard.

I tried to press the play button in MainStage before changing the patch that is supposed to send the midi file.

I tried to download various midi files.

I know I'm getting a midi SMF of the file, but don't know where to check if they are of type 0 or 1.

    The manual States the following:

Send a MIDI file using an external instrument

    1. In the external Instrument channel strip Inspector, click the output tab MIDI.
    2. Check send a MIDI file, and then click the Select button.
    3. Choose the location of the MIDI file you want to add, select the file, and then click the file Send. The MIDI is sent immediately to the port selected on the external instrument Channel Strip. The MIDI file is returned when you change patches, just as the other options of the Inspector of channel strip (such as program change messages or the MIDI clock).

Only types SMF (standard MIDI file) 0 and 1 are supported. MIDI files are sent in the order, the institution after another, per concert. If you pass quickly through several patches which send long queues of MIDI, MIDI files are queued and sent in succession. MIDI messages are sent to the tempo stored in the MIDI file.

It is a complicated issue, but I solved with a workaround.  My file "noon" is a set of commands for controlling an external light strip (DMXIS) in sync with a backing track.   The native functionality of MainStage has not worked for me.  The solution was a plugin called thingy by plug.   The plug-in includes a large number of configurable widgets, including in particular a "midi file player."  This widget can be set up in the contraption that runs in the Instrument channel strip plug-in.   The configuration is complicated, but I can walk you through it, if you are interested.   The software thingy is about $ 100, but there is a period long demo if you want to try it.

I would like to know if you want help setting up; the plugin task processor and memory, especially if you plan to run multiple instances.   But it works.

  • Cannot install 6980 in adhoc mode

My 6980 printer was working well with only an occasional glitch with an ad-hoc connection of the laptop computer with printer.  This is my only network.  Last week, he stopped printing by saying the 'print spooler could not connect.  After many attempts to correct the problem, I'm still stuck.  I emptied the spooler, uninstalled all hp software, cleaned the registry and tried to reinstall with no luck.   I run Windows XP with service pack 2.  My wifi radio detects the printer and I am connected to "hpsetup".  When I try to install the software I never get the possibility of a Wi - Fi connection.  I have the USB option or network.  If I choose network it detects the printer, whether it is to install, the IP address is the same as that indicated on the print to the printer, (my wifi radio indicates a different ip address, I don't know if it should or not).  When I click on Yes, the programs runs for a few seconds then returns to the previous screen the asking if I want to install via USB or network, it remains stuck in this loop.

The printer works if I use a USB cable.  I tried to use windows wireless network configuration, but it asking for things I have not or know.  I have not had any problems with the initial installation almost 2 years ago so I do not understand why the difficulty now.  I also disabled my antivirus and firewall protection which made no difference.  I also trie dwonloading installation and software programs fron this web site, but still have the same problem.  Ant help would be appreciated.  I'm so frustrated.

    Hello

You have downloaded and installed the software features FULL?  If not, can you download and install the software COMPLETE features of HP printing for your operating system:

The following resources will help you:

    http://123.HP.com/us/en/

Keys to your printer model, operating system and download & install FULL software.

Once you have installed wireless successfully, you can use a TCP/IP port:

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

This video resource will show you how do:

Create & use TCP IP port

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

Let us know if it works

    Hope that helps.
