presentation of SX20 on hdmi2?

Hello

I have two cisco sx20 and in my business, laptops came with displayport or HDMI for the presentation... the cisco sx20 is possible to configure the HDMI2 for presentations?

on the Web configuration page, I see only DVI port for presentation...

The only entrance to presentation on the SX20 is the DVI connector, two HDMI connectors are outputs only, see the SX20 Installation Guide for reference.

  • using converter to connect the cable presentation to SX20 codec

    Hi all

We SX20 and we need to make the presentation of video calls.

We have HDMI cable stretched between the codec and the Conference table, the problem is that we can't get more cables of the codec to the meeting table.

I tried to use a DVI HDMI converter to connect the cable to the codec, but unfortunately it did not work.

It is a specific type of converters that will work?

has anyone have the same problem and managed to resolve it?

or is it at least, is a document of cisco mentioning that the converters will not work in this case?

    Thanks in advance.

Amit: If you see a calbe like that "DVI2VGA" is already a "converter", at least if I read what Ibrahim.

In general, a cable or a DVI to HDMI adapter should work.

If this does not work, check with a different resolution or source (different computer)

and see if the cable is not for long (try a shorter for example)

and try the adapter on a different Setup.

Which would not have worked is DVI-> VGA and VGA-DVI-> HDMI > as VGA would break the digital signal

Analog = only VGA, HDMI = Digital only, DVI can carry both, but there may be no ordinary VGA2HDMI cable.

In addition, Ibrahim should check what is the definition of the type of entry for the dvi input.

I woud try it with first auto and then select digital and see if that makes a difference.

  • Presentation of the screen double with SX20

I have two recently installed SX20 units which are registered on a VCS. Both units have the following options installed.

    NaturalPresenter

    MultiSite

    PremiumResolution

    DualDisplay

What hosting a three-way one of the units (Site A) call displays a full screen remote part on the monitor of the first and the second remote side full screen on the second monitor. That's how I can expect it to appear. However, the second unit (Site B) shows two parts away on the first screen and displays only the presentations for the second screen that otherwise would be empty. I compared all the parameters and believe that they are the same for both units.

To further complicate the issue when B Site hosts a multisite call or device uses the second screen for video. By selecting the options of the touchscreen controller layout did not involve video displayed on both screens.

The following settings are configured under Advanced Configuration. Video.

    Monitors: double

    LocalLayoutFamily: automatic

    RemoteLayoutFamily: automatic

    Any ideas?

What Site a using the on-board microcontroller, welcomes all sites, he will receive a video stream separated from each participants, however, it will be transcoded and it will send a composite stream that contains all the sites of the Conference on other sites - so this behavior is correct.

Looks like that Site B has been configured with video output 'Role to monitor' value 'Format' only instead of "Second".

  • Question of presentation SX20

    Hi all

We have a SX20 behaving strange while someone shares/present the contents of the remote location.

When the remote site is sharing the content first, the local site with the Sx20 is not able to receive the content. To make it work, the SX20 site must share first, and after that the two sites can share content without problem.

Have a hard time to isolate the problem, we tried to change cables and a factory reset, but nothing has worked. Any help is very appreciated.

    Software version: TC7.3.3.c84180a

    Installed options: DualDisplay

    High definition

    NaturalPresenter

    Thank you

One-way content is usually a firewall issue.  Have you checked that the firewalls between the two ends are corretcly configured to allow media streams.  With the fact that you can get it to work by opening the ports from one end, sounds much like there is some incoming block.

Otherwise, we will need a little more detail on the configurations at each end.  Do you have the details on what is endpoint end?  Is that what this SX20 another, or something else?  Call control mechanisms are in place at both ends (VCS, CUCM, autonomous)?  Which protocol of appeal are used (H.323 or SIP)?

  • SX20 dual display - how to view the presentation on monitor 1

    Hello

We have a SX20 (TC7.0.2) and two monitors connected as follows: -.

    Monitor 1 - projector

    2 - TV LCD monitor

If we have a video call with a remote party, we want the remote side to display on the monitor 1 (projector) and free view on the monitor 2 (TV).  This works well.

If we begin to share a presentation, we want the presentation to display on the monitor 1 (projector) and the video of the remote to move to the screen 2 side (TV). Is this possible?.  In our tests, the presentation always appears on Monitor 2 (TV LDC - which is smaller and harder to see the presentation on).

We tried switching constantly monitors for the presentation to appear on the projector and the remote on the TV and part that works OK for a presentation share the call, but when you make a normal video with no introduction the remote party call is then always on TV and free view is on the projector more great if it's not good.

We are really looking for an option of local available that displays the video of the remote party on monitor 1 and then when a presentation is shared poster presentation on monitor 1 and moves the video of the remote party to monitor 2.

Y at - it a setting option that I missed or y at - it a way to create a custom layout to do this?

    Thanks and greetings

    David Vieritz

    DD option is installed.

I don't think this is possible, because I think that monitor 1 always displays the remote site, while the 2 monitor shows usually content presentation. It's not a way to return automatically without entering the codec configuration each time to reverse the monitors.

The SX20 has not the ability to create custom models, only the integrating codecs can, as the C60/90 and SX80.

  • SX20 without dual display capable to share the presentation?

    Hello

I would just clear my doubt

SX20 is without option of dual display capable to share the presentation.

If I understand correctly the SX20 installation sheet

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/quick-set-SX20/installation_guide/sx20_quick_set_installation_sheet_for_web.PDF

Connect your main display on the HDMI color blue.

With the dual display option, connect the second screen to the other HDMI output.

It means that I can still share presentation even without dual display option

    Best regards

    Titebiket

    Hello

Yes, you need not dual display of the presentation.

  • SX20 and sharing of presentations

    Hi all

I have a few questions about how the SX20 sharing presentations - the installation program will be as follows:-2 offices of each with the following:

Installed SX20 and a single screen

input video via HDMI and entry of presentation (laptop) through the VDI-I have

WAN is tbd based on the required BW

With a video call in progress, when a presentation is launched for a while, this effect may have a split two showing - what is the end of the screen with the video and the presentation receive?

Can the end manipulate their display (they receive 2 video stream), or is it a single video stream based on what sends the originating end?

What is the requirement of BW coming out at the end of starting (it is the sum of the video and the presentation of the flow)?

    Thank you!

End receives two separate video streams, and you should be able to switch between different layouts on far - end to change the on-screen display.

Bandwidth call will be always lower than the default bandwidth allocated by placing the call. When the presentation is shared, unit automatically adjusts the bandwidth and the proportion in which the bandwidth gets divided between the presentation and the main power is defined by the configuration. By default, it is 5:5 (1:1).

    Hope that answers your query.

  • Gel-presentation SX20 to MXP endpoints

We have a problem where a codec SX20 in presenter view showing a slide of that presentation freezes as the slides is advanced on 7 1700 MXP endpoints.  The other end points do not see the presentation in advance.  it freezes right on their end.  Devices are saved on a server of VCS control and we have an old legacy MCU, MPS200.  The MPS200 could be the bottleneck?

We have a new Cisco 5300 MCU, that we're converting.  I would like any advice or thoughts related to this.

Sent by Cisco Support technique iPhone App

Sent by Cisco Support technique iPhone App

Of course, members may be a problem. If you have the 53xx so, try it.

The SPM is a very old style of MCU and still there's always the interop issues.

  • Show slides on the Cisco SX20

Is there a way to push a computer feed or image for all the other endpoints through a MCU, like slides such as a widescreen and multi point Conference as a small window for all parameters? So on my side if I were to wake up the computer feed with slides instead of the larger image of the Conference, I would like the slides as the big screen and a small window of participants as the right corner.

I wish that this same config to be seen by all the world. And that's the SX20 Cisco.

If you are using an external MCU, then required available must be set to the MCU.

How it appears on the other endpoints depends on their capabilities and how these end points have been set up.

I.e. If an endpoint has been configured with two monitors, then they will normally see the presentation on a display screen / and other participants on the other screen/screen.

  • SX20 activate Instant Web

    Hello

I bought the SX20 and installed, I want to activate Web snapshot. He asked the RemoteMonitoring option button.

How do I get it. require a permit?

    Running Version: TC7.3.4.e4daf54

That is right.  What was a free feature is now paid for the option (since January 1, 2016).  This has supposedly been implemented to solve the problems of 'private life' that may be present in some places and forcing you to buy and add the key option for your devices to enable the feature can absolve Cisco from liability for any breach of privacy caused by the use of their product.  There was a bit of discussion around websnapshot functionality and the addition of the 'monitoring Option remote key', take a look at some of these discussions for example:

    tc730-websnapshots-broken-even-further-design

    No-websnapshots-when-System-standby-tc71x

  • Unknow Miscall invite themselves to SX20

    Hi Patrick,

One of our customer use SX20 and is a standalone system configured with gateway and Ip subnet.

in the idle mode or VC call continues to get an incoming call and incoming call appears with the number of post and @ and SX20 codec IP.

"Slow motion" sometimes a miscall shows miscall up to 1000 it is irritating to the teleconference.

    Please suggest what to do.

    Thank you & best regards

    Ludivine

Power off to SIP ListenPort, and/or disable SIP completely stop the [email protected]/ * / _IP calls.

No adjustment on the codec itself cannot stop calls "cisco", that's why you need your point of endpoint behind a NAT device or close the firewall completely and allow only certain IPs you conference with.

If the presentation of two screens has been resolved since then, can you please make this question as answered.  Thank you.

  • VNC with SX20

Is the SX20 integrated VNC Viewer such as Edge 95 for content sharing. If so, please indicate the configuration steps.

It was a nice feature, but in fact, I never really seen anyone using, so I guess that

    its ok that's not present.

I've seen people using just jabber video to switch to a mcu/multiway conference

with JabberVideo with audio and video mute with one app or office.

This could be a solution here as well. There are also transmitters of the wireless, display

could picture you could build something with airplay or a raspberry IP and vnc yourself if his need.

  • Content preview on SX20?

I'm missing this option, or you can preview the content on a SX20 when using the remote control?

I know how to get an overview of the content on the Touch8 and the Touch10, but can't seem to understand on the remote SX20.

If I understand it is correct, you are in a video conference and you want to preview the content of the presentation you send on the screen until you send actually, similar to what the EX series is?  If Yes, you must use a tactile device to allow this functionion, and that said, I don't know if this is possible on the largest such codecs of the C series, but I don't have a button to test.
