  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.

  • Strike number CP 2025 printer cleaning/fault

    Hello

My company has invested in an HP CP2025 printer a couple of weeks, that is used on the network of eight or nine people.

However, there is a problem where, after printing several pages, generally 3 pages, the printer goes into cleaning for a while and then comes up with a fault typing error. At this stage you hav press OK on the printer to continue the process. And then it repeats.

The printer decides to print some pages twice, but not all of them also and it seems to be no pattern in which one she repeats.

Any help will be appreciated, because I can't work this.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all

We just got a new CP2025 gave us last night at our Church.  I am the tech administrator for the Church, so it was my task to install the printer with connection of the printer drivers.

When we (me and pastor) installed the drivers from the printer and print a test page, we had those little dots on one side of the paper.  Thinking that it is just a toner sedentary, I took each individual toner cartridge, he trembled and succeeded him.   Always had the points.

So, we looked at the documentation supplied with the printer.  Nada on what to do.  Says "For the resolution of problems, call HP Support."  Then I give the floor.  the hours are from 8 to 8 East, so they are closed.

My pastor calls for HP support today - the tech told him that "cartridges of toner in a printer that has remained in the warehouse will be deposited."  You must clean and calibrate the printer to remove it. ' So he did, and the points disappear.

This is - why isn't that one of the installation steps in the paper documentation that came with the printer?  We have cleaned the printer last night, and calibrating it, it is not very clear on how to do it.

I received a warning that the magenta cartridge was empty - I was able to print more documents (letters) using the black, then the printer no longer works a custom start?

    (1) don't you replace the cartridge?

    (2) if so, have you contacted HP?  It is their impression and their driver.

    Good luck.

  • Why the hp officejet pro 850 always clean heads printer etc etc on start up?

Hi my printer always seem it self check on every time I start it. It checks the parts themselves, calibration and printer heads. It takes about 1 minute ot more cela and offers in the menu, it might take longer than that. Certainly there is a way to bypass this not only for the inconvienience but also to save the planet and reduce the costs of electricity and the additional movement create.

    Can anyone help?

If not can you me say there is no way so I don't know. If there is not a way HP are not helping the environment in my opinion. It is fair to say, it works at lower costs than most but when even why the controls each time to the start?

    Thank you!

[I am assuming that you actually have an Officejet Pro 8500 printer.]

This printer uses pigmented inks.  They have more long-lasting light, but they are also more likely to clog.  Maintenance that you hear is the printer prepare to print, clean and wipe the nozzles so they will print good pages.  There is no way to eliminate it, and the result is better for the environment than to print pages tha tneed be thrown out because the first line or so do not print correctly.

page explains here how the ink is used in HP printers.  The Officejet 8500 series is a printer IIC in the nomenclature of this page.

  • HP Deskjet 1515: HP 1515 does not print

    Hello everyone,

first of all, sorry for my bad English, it is not my mother tongue, but I hope that you will understand me.

Today I bought a Deskjet 1515, installed correctly (I think...) and the test page was printed without problem. But, any other document may not be printed, or office, Adobe or a web page. I started troubleshooting of Windows but did not find the problem. In addition, the doctor HP Print and scan was launched, there is also no problem. writing the device functioning, communication is ok, and the test page can be printed. All other functions maintenance works (cartridge settings could be printed, cleaning, etc.), should also print from other programs.

When I launch a print, the print icon appears in the right corner of the Board, but when I take the mouse over it, wrote "0 document under impression" (or 0 doc is in the queue? I do not know the right translation) and after a few seconds it disappears from the status bar.

I tried to restart the computer, remove and reinstall the driver on the CD, plug into the connection of the cable for 30 seconds a card, downloaded and installed the latest driver HP...

    I'm out of ideas...

    You have any other advice?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello @elzolee,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.  I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I understand that you are unable to print from Microsoft Word and on the web using your all-in-one printer HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515.  I want to help you with this.

Thank you for all the details you provided by listing the troubleshooting steps you have tried.  It helps me to determine the place where from there.  Accordingly, I recommend you clear the Temp on your PC folder and install another driver print.  Try the steps presented by my colleague @X-23:

Step 1: Clear the Temp folder:

    1. Open your Start menu and in the box "search programs and files", type %temp% , and then press enter.
    2. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard
    3. Once everything is highlighted in the Temp folder select "delete" on your keyboard to delete the files in the Temp folder. No files and folders on your computer will be deleted. This only deletes temporary files. If a file is always be used by a program on your computer, you'll be up the pop to 'jump' the item.
    4. Once the temporary files are deleted to close the window
    5. On your desktop, right click on the recycling bin and select empty recycling bin

Step 2: Adding a driver replacing:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Select the devices and printers
    3. In the devices and printers folder right click on your HP Officejet Pro 6830 and left click on printer properties.
    4. Left click on the Advanced tab
    5. Left-click on new driver
    6. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturerson the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    7. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    8. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    9. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next complete the new driver Wizard
    10. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    11. Select the general tab
    12. Rename your printer in HP Officejet Pro 6830
    13. Click OK
    14. Finally, right click on your HP Officejet Pro 6830 one more time and left-click on Printing Preferences
    15. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    16. Left click on the drop down menu 'Normal' for quality printing at the bottom right and change its normal fast

  • Why print head hits the sides of the printer?

I have a "Hp Photosmart c5380 All in one ' and I don't know what to do with it. It can be fixed with a new headprint or should I throw?

I tried all the things people were saying on the internet: a full reset on a menu hidden in the printer; cleaned the strip of celluloid at the back of the printhead and... nothing... headprint hit the sides of the printer.      I had to get out of the print head (without print head and cartridges inside) so I can try without it, but the printer does the same thing. What can I do?

At this point given that the error message cannot be allowed to access the menu, and we did the resets mentioned in the posts above on this thread, sought to replace the product. You can always take part in the program of upgrading HP. This is where you can find to get a camera reconditioned with a warranty of complete plant at a reduced price. The number for U.S. and Canada customers is 800-474-6836. Other clients can find the contact information for HP at this link here. I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet 4500: OfficeJet 4500 print black

  • HP Color Laserjet 2605dn: Print is washed out/completely wilted on printer 2605dn

We have a Laserjet 2605dn HP color printer has intermittent printing problems. Most of the time, the quality of the printed output is very well, but from time to time, the print quality deteriorates completely. After a while, printing then returned back its normal quality.

The printer is on a network and serves as WIndows XP/7/8/10 and Linux machines as it has throughout his life. He has never had a genuine HP toner cartridges installed. It is not heavily used, we print usually less than 100 pages per week, often less.

The problem is that out of all the colors and black, gets so bad as to be unreadable. The printed output is so washed out it's (almost) impossible to read anything through the entire page. This can happen for all the pages of an entire document, but often it will print the first part of a multipage fine print job and then the quality deteriorates gradually to illegibility. Subsequent print jobs will also sometimes unreadable, but are also likely to print correctly. There seems to be trigger (that we can determine) this behavior or when it will happen well.

While the printer was used for a few years, he printed out a little more than 20 000 pages in total. This leads me to think that age should not be a problem. We replaced all the cartridges, tried recalibration, print cleaning pages, all without success. I found a solution for a problem of fading Magenta also requires cleaning the mirrors, but our problem is not that same as - everything fades to nothing in our printer, it is not a case of a single color fade a little, is much more radical than that.

Suggestions as to how we could solve this problem? Is there additional information that might help diagnose the cause and suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It looks like I won't get my hands dirty inside this printer after all. The boss decided it would probably be too annoying overall for me (US) to try to fix it. So he decided to buy a new color printer and remove it.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

Now I just need to find how to mark it as "resolved", or otherwise close it, as appropriate in this forum.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Printer tasks

DeskJet 2540 - Smear printing problems. I pulled a 'feed' management printer paper jam - the only direction I could grab the book. Since then, no matter what text I print a major blunder and "inking". I ran the clean printer clean several times ink systems and it makes no difference.

I ran the "Print quality diagnostic Page" and the first text document after it was perfect, but the following text document was back in the major purification ceremony. I ran an another "print quality Diagnostics Page" and the same result - first text print perfect, next document full of smudges. What can I do to solve the problem permanently? Thank you very much

THANKS a LOT - all the information I receive are incredibly useful for future use. I finally took the machine in a local "ink Doctor" who pulled a piece of paper (using the pliers in jewelry) that was stuck to the front of the rolls. After that I go back without problem perfect impression.  Thank you very much once again for taking the trouble to answer it's much appreciated.  Newby4

  • Nine D110b. Installed the cartridges supplied. Black ink will not print on paper, color OK.

I just opened and installed the new all-in-one printer of D110b. only the color cartridge is printing on the page.  Using this with an iMac OSX running.  Do you have the utility printer cleaning of the printheads through step 3, but no change.  Audit of the use of ink and black ink is expressed.  But where is it placed?  Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.  Thank you.  (Since this is a new printer, you would think that HP help for free - no luck.)

I called HP hotline and they get my cartridge black to finally work.  It turns out that the ink inside, since it had been sitting for about a year, has been a bit lazy, and he had to be convinced to enter the tube and print on paper.  Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Problem with Printer Color LaserJet 2600n of printing. Thin strips Magenta on the printed Pages

I have a Color LaserJet 2600n, on which I replaced both magenta and yellow cartridges a week ago. Both cartridges are genuine HP. The printer cleaned and calibrated.

Today, the thin magenta strips about 3 "apart began to appear on my printed pages. Print pages, but there is a 'click' stable, audible about 2 seconds apart from from the inside of the printer. Even after a cleaning several times, the bands are less bright, but they are still there. They also appear on the printed test page and on the page of troubleshooting print quality. Is there something wrong with this new magenta cartridge? This problem has never happened before in the 6 years, I've owned this printer.

Here a link to the document that addresses the issues of print quality for your printer model. It will give you the different troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the problem. One of the steps in the document will guide on inspecting the print cartridge and see if the replacement is in order. I hope this helps.
