Printer HP Officepro 8500 is offline now

Original title: hp officepro 8500

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8. I try to print on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-one. The computer always tells me that the printer is offline, but that is the impression of my all-in-one running Windows 7. Any help?

Hello

As OEM HP is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and

    Welcome to the @Wm_Dailey forums

I read your post about the question of impression you have with your Officejet 8500. The good news is that if the printer copies, scans or faxes, the printer itself works fine, and the problem is more in the software, the driver or the operating system.

I will do my best to help you with this. In order to find the best info, I would need to know if you are working with Windows Vista or Windows 7 and what 8500 model you have.

Let me know and I will check it for you.

In the meantime, try to restart the print spooler:

  • Printing from my Surface for my printer HP Officejet 8500 A909a

    Windows rt officejet 8500 A909a

I try to use my printer HP Officejet 8500 A909a on my rt Surface. My list of devices shows the printer, but indicates that it is not compatible with this version of Windows. I check the site of Microsoft for compatibility of this printer and it shows that it is compatible. I tried to vote that it is not compatible, and my vote never registered. What gives. This printer is supported in RT or not? If it is supported, how to configure it?

  • C7280 is offline now

My C7280 all-in-one is offline now and I don't know how it be printed. (FYI...  I'm wireless) it works fine for over 2 years until a few days ago.

In addition, in Control Panel/hardware/printer port properties affecting sometimes on its own, will jump from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.3 and I don't know why it changes and I don't know what Port setting is correct. (I think that 10.0.0.3 is correct, because in the past to be able to print, he had to be on 10.0.0.3) This problem is ongoing for a few months.

I am a novice in computers and any help to get my printer to work wireless would be appreciated (the copier & fax work well).

    Thank you

You can set the IP address of the printer if you want to, however, it is best to set a static IP address in the router.

Is there another adjustment with a right click that says 'use printer online '?  If it is available, it's what you really want to do here.

  • Laptop XP to Windows 7 OfficePro 8500 connect problem

I searched this problem without success and I hope Im not presenting a topic previously.  I recently bought the OfficePro 8500 and it had set up correctly on my laptop XP Home network of Office XP wireless connected to the computer bureau/printer.  Since then, I've replaced the office with a unit of Windows 7 and everything works very well from the desktop to the printer.  I'm sure that I've updated the printer drivers for Windows 7 in the new office (looks like they are 12 Rev and it seems to Rev 13 is the last?).  My XP laptop recognizes the right printer by default, but it ends there-no communication or printing.  I diddled with "setting up the printer" on both ends and can not print from wireless laptop.  Don't know if this binding is to the desktop (Windows 7 end) or the computer laptop (XP software).  I would be very grateful for any help/suggestions.  Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Problem solved!  Thanks for your help.  The ultimate solution was to reinstall the HP driver in Windows XP machine.  Don't know not how/why it was working before but reinstall the driver did the trick.  Thanks for your help.

  • HP Pro 8500 printer 910 publish the connectivity / offline

My HP Pro 8500 910 has played many years. Recently, he began to lose connectivity to the computer and disconnects when no touch button doesn't work on the printer including the power button. The doctor of scanning/printing HP said all is well, only after I have pull the plug of AC and repower save. Then, hopefully, after five minutes of inactivity printer the cycle starts again. I tried all the ten most 'no solution', nothing helps. The printer is connected to the laptop via a USB port that I moved the laptop and docking station. The only thing that I did is to uninstall and reinstall the original HP Print software. P.S. The e-print function works well and print when the printer is in "ready" mode Help!

My HP Officejet Pro over 8500-910 'connectivity' was resolved. The current design of my product does not have the e-print function be on permanently because it prevents the restart "standby" mode. Given that this feature has been disabled the printer works fine just without the e-print software on. Thanks to the Technical Support employee, Jennifer, she was able to help diagnosis the problem.

  • Mac does not print Officejet Pro 8500

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless.  Last week I set up with a Belkin wireless router.  I work on both OS - a Windows WP and Mac Lion.  The XP is print wirelessly, without a break.  I got the Mac to recognize the printer, and Mac utility will print the wireless test pages.  However, when I send regular (of any type) documents to the printer, they never proceed with printing.  The window of State says they are printing, but nothing ever happens.

I have already invested 20 hours in this and I hope that someone here might be able to help me solve this problem.

    Thank you

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the software HP on your Mac before you upgrade - even if you made a standard from the old software uninstaller or installed new software on top of it) , you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • Using ink OfficePro 8500

Nine months ago, I bought a new Pro 8500 office because I needed a reliable machine that would fax also and I am very happy with it in general.  Its main purpose is to print accounts and I have the settings on the computer to print only in black.  Despite this, the color cartridges, blue one in particular are now running for the second time.  Since the purchase of the machine, I replaced the black cartridge 3 times, that is fair, given the use and color cartridges have been replaced once.  I agree than those that the machine came with maybe wasn't a high performance but I do not understand why the color cartridges walk down when I do not print in color.  Am I missing something obvious or is - this normal?

    Calli wrote:

Thank you, Bob, for your response.

I would have liked it much better had been able to say otherwise. I don't like having to use my color cartridges to print in black. I'll use my print option much more often "regular paper, project fast, black and white. I use twice more yellow cyan or magenta, and yellow is my favorite color. If I have a choice of color (other than black) in which print it will be and has always been, blue.

If you have any info on the question if this 'plain paper' choice, project fast, black and white will always use my yellow cartridge, I would be grateful this info.

    Thank you

    Calli

Quick adjustment project will use generally about half of the ink for printing as best or normal modes.  Your driver offering a setting for "print in grayscale" and "use black only?  Graphics are usually printed with the color cartridge (even in grayscale mode) the choice unless "use black only" is done.  [The Conspiricy theories aside, there are good reasons for this.  The black print head is designed to print the text and has relatively larger droplets of ink.  [A higher end graphics can be done using an appropriate mix of the smallest drops of color.]

Even when printing in "black only" mode some color ink is used to keep the semi-permanent printhead without clogging. See the page here for more information on how the ink is used.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910g offline

My Office Pro 8500 A910g using a laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition works fine on my WiFi network for years.

I lost the connection. On a second laptop, I get an offline state.

The blue network status light is not on.

I printed a Network Setup page and a wireless network test report and everything seems good. I ran the program of HP HP troubleshoot-performed installation failure. I had a local technician look at the printer he said it, it was fine.

I removed the HP software and reinstalled. The printer is on the network, but I can't find the printer when I try to perform a new installation.

The HP print and Scan doctor does not find the printer.

Looking for the address IP in the browser can't find the printer.

I have reset the default printer.

I deleted all the pending print jobs.

I disconnected and reformulated the printr several times

Any suggestiions? Is there a magical hidden reset button? I have to buy a new printer?

Print you the wireless config page?  You can scroll through the front panel to check the status?  You will need to download and read your manual to find this information.
