  I have a problem with my printer Epson Surecolor P600. Support of Epson are blaming my MAC! I want to print a panorama on roll paper, but the printer will scale down the image to A3.   If you have the latest driver downloaded from the epson site and this also happens when you print from non-apple programs then I don't see OS X intercepting the print job from the app for the epson driver and change what needs to be printed

  If you are not using the latest epson driver then you probably use what epson printer has given Apple to include in OS X at a point in time that could be interrupted if they have not given a new since then, or it might be their printer have simply not support appropriate for the version of Mac OS X you are running that it's the same for some older models of printers

  Every since the installation of 10.11, my Epson Artisan 837 prints very slow.  It will print several lines and then pause, then several others and continue until complete.  I started my Mavericks system and it printed fine.  I tried system reset print and added the printer, but same problem.  I use airprint, but tried selecting craftsman 837 with the same result.  I print over wifi, but it was the same thing on the Mavericks.  Any ideas I could try?

  I spoke with Epson, and they were no help.  They told me to call Apple.  Even though I thought it was a problem of Epson, I called Apple.  They made me a reset of the PRAM that corrects the problem.  Should think about this, but did not.

• Tried everything - Vista still does not recognize printer Epson!

  I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I spent HOURS trying to get my printer Epson CX7800 installed. I get the error unknown device and after trying to install the printer software, the message that the device is not working properly. The CX7800 is compatible with Vista. I have checked/tried this following:

  1. Installed updates for Vista.
  2. Tried to install the drivers updated from the Epson site. Installation cannot recognize that the printer is plugged in and turned on and closed unexpectedly.
  3. Troubleshooted on the Epson site. Followed their advice to uninstall/reinstall to the letter.
  4. Verified the printer on other computers running XP - works fine.
  5. I tried changing USB ports - all ports are good.
  6. FixIt ran from the Microsoft site - no problems found.
  7. Tried the Add Assistant printer - who cannot find drivers - even if I click on disc then point it on where are the downloaded drivers.
  8. Troubleshooted on the Dell site - have a desktop Dimension E521 - no luck.
  9. He spent hours searching for technical advice and do not yet have a solution that works.

  Any help for that to be resolved would be LARGELY APPRECIATED. It's a question of Vista - not a problem with the printer or the computer. Argh!

  I can't believe how easy the solution was... amazing that this simple solution has been so difficult to dig for!

  All I had to do was go to the Device Manager and disable the PCI Standard improved to the USB host controller.

  That's all! Turned on my printer and installed the software and I printed a page within 3 minutes!

  How frustrating that it took me more than 30 hours to get this simple solution. But I hope that it can save someone else from countless hours and frustration.
