Problem installing debug symbols

Hey. I try to set up debugging on a device using Momentics 2.1.1 via USB and can not install the debug symbols. I read the post to

http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/unable-to-install-debug-symbols-after-SDK-...

and went to the http://developer.blackberry.com/native/downloads/releasenotes_momentics/ page

where I found the instructions

If you get the message "error in opening zip file" while updating or downloading levels Momentics IDE or API, you may need to disable your download cache.
Solution: Remove all the files in the /p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/cache/ folder.

I went there and delete two files and a file in the cache folder. (Objects xml file, binary file was a).

Now, it just says: when I try to install the symbols for debugging: debugging symbols are missing (after I click on install and for a few seconds, the progress bar comes up).

If someone has solved this? Cheers, tks for any help,

Justin D.

You can have a partially completed debug symbol Setup that is the cause.  Try the procedure described in the article below.  It refers to native SDK, but applies also to the debug symbols.

Installation of the native SDK blackBerry repeatedly fails at the same Point

  • Re-install the symbols for debugging after automatic update OS

Hey. It's just a word for someone else who has their device automatically updated the software (OS).

For me, after an automatic update, I had to reinstall the debug symbols in Momentics (2.1.1) for debugging on my device (small BONES change invalidates their). It's a long download.

So I put my settings-software updates-Options-automatically download and install software updates on Off.

If I leave, let me know pls.

    See you soon

    Justin D.

Yes, this is normal behavior. debugging symbols must match the version of the OS.
You can compile and run applications without them, but debugging is not possible.

  • Z30 "Does not match debug symbols" 10.3.2.2226

Updated my device today at 10.3.2.2226, now Momentics shows "cannot find corresponding to debugging symbols.

they should not be available for the OS version now?

    Thank you

We are a little behind those posting the debugging symbols.  You can work around this problem for now by the Momentics window menu, choose Preferences, the BlackBerry, the targets and check "allow the debugging and profiling with symbols do not match.  This will allow debugging of code source within your projects, but will be missing information about the classes included in the libraries of the device.

  • debug symbols, 10.3.0.908?

I'm tring using Momentics to launch an application in debug mode on a passport BB10 running 10.3.0.908. It is said you should download dbug symbols, but it seems stuck when it comes to 47% - he remained there for 15 minutes.  At this point, I don't think the progress indicator.

The debugger will not move forward until it installs the debug symbols, it is impossible to install.

I tried to run "sdkinstall - install 10.3.0.908" command line.  Paused for a while, and then returned, but there has been no noticeable change in my development machine.

    Momentics works with Passport?

I have a passport with this version of the exact software and was able to download symbols for debugging very well. I think that the OS version however, and it is 10.3.0.1418 in my case. Debugging symbols seem to be about 2 GB and take some time to download, then maybe, you need to be more patient (depending on your connection, I guess).

Another option is to go to preferences/BlackBerry/target and check the box 'Allow debugging using the symbols' - no idea if it actually works, but you can give it a try.

  • What debugging symbols

    Hey guys

I know that I need a debugging token to install an application unsigned on my BlackBerry.

But how can I debug symbols for?

debug symbols are used by the debugger to show you the calling code of the battery and/or source when you debug an application

  • Satellite P300-133 - problem installing Win Xp

    Hello

I have a problem installing win xp to Satellite p300-133.
To resolve this problem, I have tried the solutions:
switch to ahci mode in bios and incorporating storage drivers compatibility intel to the installation cd xp with nlite, but none of them solved the problem.

Laptop computer starts from the cd of xp and xp installation says "program Setup inspects your hardware configuration" and then a blank black screen comes.
After that, the installation does nothing and waits indefinitely.

Any ideas on this problem? Thank you.

    Hello

    > switch to compatibility ahci mode in the bios and the integration of the storage drivers Intel to xp with nlite installation cd, but none of them solved the problem.

    The two methods are good!
You can install the Win XP without drivers Intel Storage Manager (SATA drivers) but in this case the SATA mode must be on compatible mode.
    It works for sure!

The second method is the installation of the SATA drivers with nLite (drivers can be integrated into the new drive Win XP).

I put t understand why this doesn t work on your laptop. I think it's a problem with your Win XP drive. Contains this Win XP SP2 or SP3?
If this isn't the case, then you should use nLite to include min the Win XP SP2.

    Check it!

  • Problem installing PCI-6220

    Hello

I have problems installing a PCI-6220. The card has been installed a couple of years on a PC and rarely used. I withdrew from the it and connected to a new PC (Intel core i3 2.93 GHz, Windows7). After installing the card on the new PC in a first time, I could read the name of PCI6220 under 'Devices and interfaces' (in the program MAX) but I´d not been able to define it as a device. So I tried to remove the card and plug it in again and now the situation is even worse, I only see an "unidentified PXI system" in the program of MAX.

Any idea what bad and what can do to make sure that the card does not work properly? As a reference, I need to connect to a CA-1000 enclosure housing a CB-68LPR device.

    Thanks in advance,

    G.

  • IPod Classic 7 G 160 GB ' there was a problem installing this hardware: Apple iPod USB Device ".

    I have recently (June 2014) bought a brand new Ipod Classic 7 G 160 GB Model A1238.

Whenever I connect via USB to a PC running XP SP3 and Itunes V10.0.7.2 it is always treated as if it were a new connection, i.e. "new hardware found". After trying to install it, it says so "cannot install this hardware" and "there was a problem installing this hardware: Apple iPod USB Device."
I have also a 2009 16 GB Ipod Nano 4 G model 1285 and this is recognized by the PC whenever it is connected through the USB port itself.
I connected the Ipod Classic 7 G to a laptop running Vista and Itunes V10.0.7.2 where the Ipod is recognized and installed.

Even if the PC States that there is a problem installing the Ipod, it still appears in Itunes and I can download music to it and disconnect by using safe mode disconnect.

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Classic
I watched "Device Manager" under "Drives", the Ipod Classic is listed as an "Apple Ipod USB Device", but has an exclanation score against it.

Right-click on the 'Apple Ipod USB Device' properties and the "Volumes" tab it shows the drive with the exact name and the size of the data, by clicking on the properties of "Driver" tab it says 'Unknown' driver provider, driver Date and Driver Version as being "not available". By clicking on the "Driver Details" properties, it shows a driver file-

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys, File Version 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

Under "Device Manager" USB controllers, there is an entry for "Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver" and a "USb Mass Storage Device"

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' lists two drivers:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\usbaapl.sys and
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\usbaaplrc.sys

The "USB Mass Storage Device" list a driver:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\USBSTOR. SYS

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Nano

I repeated the steps above with the Ipod Nano, connected to the PC and the driver provider is presented as Microsoft with the driver as 07/01/01 Date and Version of the driver as 5.1.2535.0.
In the "Driver Details" properties, it shows TWO driver files:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys AND meanings
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys.
At the same time with the Version of the file 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' and "USB Mass Storage Device" are the same as for the Ipod Classic.

I followed the procedure to remove Itunes and even the update to Itunes to V11.2.2 nothing works.

I am aware that the system is also that XP can now be updated.

So, why not not Windows Installer Ipod Classic and why the disk.sys driver does not appear

According to the details of the pilot?

Is the 7 G Ipod Classic not compatible with XP SP3?

Yes it is compatible with XP SP3.

    Hello

You are able to install other programs?

Method 1: See the following article:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c02073861&LC=en&cc=us&product=3795406

Method 2: view the following steps and see if that helps.

    (a) disconnect the printer

    (b) uninstall the software and drivers on the computer

    (c) plug the printer back

    (d) allow the Hardware Wizard search for drivers

    e) if it does not, it asks you to install the source for the drivers, the installation driver CD and install the drivers and see if that helps.
