Problem with route on PC with split tunnel VPN

Hi all

I have the following situation:

ASA 5515 X 8.6 running

I have several inside sub interfaces:

.10 = 192.168.10.124

.11 = 192.168.11.124

.12 = 192.168.12.1/24

.13 = 192.168.13.1/24

.14 = 192.168.14.1/24

Now, I want to implement a VPN IPSec remote access:

I attribute the range 192.168.99.5 to 192.168.99.50 for VPN clients.

I have configured the tunneling split for the following networks: 192.168.10.0, 192.168.11.0 and 192.168.12.0

They are also exempt from NAT.

So the config looks good.

The VPN is in place.

However, when connecting to the VPN, none of these networks are available.

After troubleshooting, I discovered the following:

Received my card VPN IP address is 192.168.99.5 (as expected)

However, when I make a copy of the itinerary, I see the following:

Destination netmask gateway interface

192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.99.1 192.168.99.5

192.168.11.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.99.1 192.168.99.5

192.168.12.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.99.1 192.168.99.5

The entry door to the routing of my PC table is pointing to a non-existent address, in my opinion it schould be on the same address as my adapter VPN (192.168.99.5).

I tried this with annyconnect and the classic VPN client.

Where I'm going wrong?

No, this ip pointing 192.168.99.1 route is correct. It is not the cause of the problem.

    Hi Samuel,.

We appreciate your efforts to solve this problem. We will put all our efforts in order to solve the problem.

Teredo is a tunneling protocol designed to grant IPv6 connectivity to nodes that are located behind IPv6 NAT (network address translation) not compatible devices. It defines a way of encapsulating IPv6 packets in IPv4 UDP (User Datagram Protocol) datagrams can be routed through NAT devices, on the IPv4 internet.

I wish to inform you that Acer has not released Windows 8 compatible drivers for Acer 6292 travel companion.

I suggest you try to install the drivers for the card wireless in compatibility mode and check if it works. Check out the following link to download and install drivers in compatibility mode.

  • SRP527W with Split Tunnel

    Hi guys,.

I just sent a SRP527W that I had lying around for a while.

Everything about the unit works as well as can be expected, however I have an obligation to perform split tunneling for VPN users.

Currently, the only way that receives the VPN client is a default route. I noticed that on site-to-site VPN and tunnels GRE, you can specify safe routes, but I can't find anything that relates to remote VPN users. This can be done on IOS without problem, but would be good for the RPS.

I'm under the latest firmware 1.01.26, so if I have not forgotten anything it would be probably for a future version?

    See you soon.

    Bryce

    Hi Bryce,.

Nothing is overlooked, it is not possible to set up split tunneling for the VPN of the RPS server.

    Kind regards

From my experience when a tunnel is launched on one side, but it is not on the other hand, that the problem is with an inconsistency of the isakmp and ipsec policies, mainly as ipsec policies change sets and corresponding address with ASA platform when a tunnel is not a statically defined encryption card he sometimes use the dynamic tag to allocate this vpn connection. To check if this is the case go ahead and make a "crypto ipsec to show his" when the tunnel is active on both sides, see on the SAA if the corresponding tunnel is the static encryption card set or if it presents the dynamic encryption card.

I advise you to go to the settings on both sides and ensure that they are both in the opposite direction.

  • VPN3005 - PIX506 using NEM & IPP with split tunnel

    After the design is given

    VPN3005 (central) - tunnel - PIX506 (Remote) network-extension-mode & RRI

A VPN (PC) Client connects to VPN3005 and wants to reach the server at the site of PIX506 above the tunnel of 3005 to PIX506.

At the same time the users on LAN Pix506 want to use Internet directly - which means

    split tunneling should be used.

On VPN3005 under IProuting - RRI - IPP network extension and

    Customer IPP is enabled.

Connectivity between LAN (central) and LAN (remote) is known, but IPP for

VPN Client (PC) (wants to connect to the server on the Remote LAN) is not possible.

If split for ezvpn (PIX506) tunneling is used.

It works, if you all tunnel!

    Question:

Is this cause is not possible, this feature (EZVPN + RRI + split-tunnel) is not implemented, or if this thing works well?

(Even behave with a real HW3002)

    BTW. VPNConc3.6.7 (3.6.3,3.6.5,3.6.7A), HW3002 3.6.7, PIX 6.2.2 (6.3.136beta)

Images in brackets have also been tested with even behave.

Thank you for the help & information

    This thing in advance.

    Kind regards

    Stefan

You have the pool of addresses VPN client in the tunnel of split for the PIX list? The troubled with making split tunneling is that traffic has behind the PIX for this network first, then only ITS special is based for this particular network subnet. If you try to connect via a client, or even to the LAN behind the 3005 (same thing in theory), then unless someone behind the PIX sent traffic to this subnet first, your traffic will not get there.

When the split tunneling is not used, the PIX automatically creates the SA for all networks, and that's why you can then test the hosts a VPN client (or to the LAN behind the 3005).

Take a simple test and launch a VPN client to the 3005 connection, making sure that the address pool is in the list of PIX split tunnel. If you try and ping from the client to the PIX network it will not work. Now have someone behind the PIX ping to the address of the VPN client, you will probably lose the first packages of one or two, but then it should respond OK. NOW try to VPN client and ping, PIX network, it should work now, because the PIX has built the tunnel to the address pool.

  • Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access

After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?

Can anyone help me please with this problem? There could be a bunch of superfluous things here, and if you could show me, too, I'd be very happy. If you need more information on the config, I'll be happy to provide.

    Hello Kenneth,

Based on the appliance's routing table, I can see the following

    C 10.21.9.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, DeviceManagement

    C 10.21.3.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected, servers

C 192.168.210.0 255.255.255.0 is directly connected to the inside

And you try to connect to the 3 of them.

Politics of Split tunnel is very good, the VPN configuration is fine

    The problem is here

NO_NAT list of allowed ip extended access all 172.31.255.0 255.255.255.0

NAT (inside) 0-list of access NO_NAT

Dude, you point to just inside interface and 2 other subnets are on the device management interface and the interface of servers... That is the question

    Now how to solve

    NO_NAT ip 192.168.210.0 access list allow 255.255.255.0 172.31.255.0 255.255.255.0

    NAT (deviceManagment) 0-no.-NAT_DEVICEMANAGMENT access list

Any other questions... Sure... Be sure to note all my answers.

  • Best Soho - Split Tunnel VPN router

Hi - I'm looking for some advice for a soho router.

Basically the main feature, I'm looking for is to run, which I think is a VPN split tunnel, so that all internal clients route default traffic out to the gateway of the ISP. However, if the traffic is destined for a list of several specific subnets (x.x.x.x/24, y.y.y.y/24 etc.), then it should establish a tunnel to an only PPTP/IPSEC host and route remote traffic for these subnets via the tunnel.   To be clear, that these subnets (x.x.x.x and y.y.y.y) is not attached to the end of the tunnel - which is a gateway device that will route them further.

I've been watching the various VPN router offers and is not clear to me if I can do it with a RV - 042, BEFVP41 or something like the other thing SRP521W I must be able to manipulate the routing tables directly on.

As an additional note, I have complete control over the end of SOHO - but simply an account at the end of the tunnel with (it is a service provider).  The idea is to use public services for 90% of the traffic, but if customers want to access a specific set of addresses, it will forward this specific traffic through the tunnel.

    Thanks in advance...

On current view, do not touch the RPS with a bargepole.

Adding access to additional subnets through a VPN tunnel is pretty standard, routing will be automatic if the VPN was established, but you must ensure that

    1. politics VPN at BOTH ENDS allows your local subnet to access these networks

    2. your subnet is not incompatible with other subnets or roads that can be used on remote networks

    3. assuming you're OK so far, remote subnets must have a route is added to the default gateway to point to your subnet via intermediate networks

    Good luck!

  • Problem with remote access VPN

    Hello

I installed a remote access VPN on my firewall ASA5505 via the ASDM Assistant.

I can successfully connect with the Cisco VPN client. My firewall also shows me the VPN session and shows the Rx packets. However, Tx packets remain 0, so no traffic is getting out. My ASA5505 is configured as a router on a stick with 25 different VLAN. I want to restrict traffic to one VLAN specific using a card encryption.

When I run a command to ping t on my connected Windows box, the firewall log shows me the following message:

"Unable to find political IKE initiator: outside Intf, Src: 10.7.11.18, Dst: ' 172.16.1.1

"This message indicates that the fast path IPSec processing a packet that triggered of IKE, but IKE policy research has failed. This error could be associated calendar. The ACL triggering IKE could have been deleted before IKE has processed the request for initiation. "This problem will likely correct itself."

    Unfortunately, the problem is correct.

The "sh cry isa his" and "sh cry ips its ' commands show the following output:

I really have no idea what's going on. I installed a remote access VPN countless times, but this time it shows me the error as described above.

    Hi Martijn,

    just a few quick thoughts:

-is your ok NAT exemption, i.e. ensure that the return traffic is not NAT' ed.

-Make sure that there is no overlap crypto ACL

-When connected, make a package tracer to see what is happening with the return packages.

    for example

    packet-tracer in the interface within the icmp 10.7.11.18 0 0 172.16.1.1 detail

(where is the name of the interface on which 10.7.11.18 resides)

This will show you all the steps the rail package in-house (routing, nat, encryption etc.) so it should give you an idea of what is happening, for example when it comes to the bad interface, nat evil rule, wrong entry card crypto etc.

    HTH

  • Problem with the Cisco VPN and Vista client

    Hello

I have an easy VPN server configured on a c2811 and users use the Cisco VPN client. Lately, I have users running Windows Vista 64 bit and I need to know what is the correct version of the vpn client, I have to use and the compatibility problems with the server, I configured.

    Thank you and best regards.

Cisco VPN Client doesn't have any version that is compatible with Vista 64 bit OS. The only customer that Cisco has released that supports the 64 bit OS's AnyConnect, but it is only supported on the CISCO ASA Appliance

  • problem with windows 2003 vpn servers. and xp pro clients vpn using bridge nic

I have installed 2 guests windows 2003 on 2 laptops. both are configured with 1 CC of backend and frontend 1 nat/vpn server that has 2 interfaces, a bridge and one configured for host only.

I configure nat on both servers windows 2003 rras and vpn services and have them connected to my local network. they are able to access internet, ping between them and other computers on the network, as well as the host systems on which they run.

the problem is that I am not able to connect to the vpn servers remotely from inside a guest virtual machine. I wanted to try a vpn site-to site between the guests 2 windows 2003, but the operation failed.

I then tested customer to type of a guest virtual computer pro xp vpn server. It is also a failure.

but I discovered that if I initiate a VPN from any one of the host computer system laptop or another computer on the physical network I am able to connect to the vpn servers I have set up.

I wish I could have these laptops to operate normally and

time to time be able to turn on virtual machines with vpn

servers and test as dfs things and replication active directory as if

they were running 2 separate real-world offices. the two laptops have invited Setup for 192.168.0.0 networks with subnet mask 255.255.255.192. each host that it supposed to be running a 1 subnet for the popular virtual machine with the servers vpn/nat connect together the 2 sites.

laptop computers are running xp pro and vista ultimate as the host systems. I'm only using the windows firewall but also tested with them disabled vpn connections. also launches the service ipsec on laptops to secure internal lan traffic, I have also tested with two guests with disabled ipsec.

is there something I'm missing here with the installation of the vmware bridge network?

Oh I forgot to mention, I test using pptp and ms-chap v2

I managed to do work by unchecking the tcp/ip settings and the microsoft file sharing on the bridged NIC resaeau.

now it works very well but who explain to me why it cannot work when you are using the same network as the host card. they all have two different ip addresses and mac addresses. but something seems to be in conflict

  • Internet access without split tunneling VPN PIX

I have a PIX 515E with code 6.31. I installed a VPN to allow access to the internal network from the Internet using the Cisco VPN client. It does not work properly. We have some sellers who demand that we come from our Internet IP range to allow us access to their database on the Internet. This works very well for our internal users, but I will allow users VPN for this also.

Is there a way to allow the user from the VPN client to use the Internet for business access to the internet instead of use the split tunneling to access the internet through their own connection? I would like users to vpn to be NAT would have réécrirait Internet and seeming come from our pool of Internet addresses. What I found references by using the split tunneling, but this won't work for me. Am I stuck getting a VPN concentrator to achieve?

    Thank you

    Josh

    [email protected] / * /.

The PIX cannot route a package back on the same interface, he entered the, which includes a customer entering the interface external and routed VPN package back on the same interface.

A router or a VPN concentrator would be able to do this, but not a PIX, sorry.

  • Split tunneling VPN site-to-site

    Dear all,

I have two ASA 5510 with VPN site-to-site, I can send all Internet traffic to the central site (HQ),

How to set the split tunneling to access Campus LAN (192.168.2.0/24) of LAN2.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards

    Zoltan

You can have 'decline' instruction on your ACL crypto and he will deviate the traffic is encrypted to the site-to-site VPN tunnel.
