Everyone still faces a problem of printing with the new updates?

    Hi Michael,

I see you got a problem with printer HP LJ1200 after installation of updates recently offered from Windows update.

What exactly happened when you were trying to print after the recent updates? Have you received an error message?

Thanks for the sharing of information when you perform a restore as solved the problem.

This issue would have occurred as a result of updates related to the printer or the additional updates to the hardware device connected to the computer. Sometimes, when these problems occur after Windows update, we should always check the specific updates that have been installed right before the problem occurred. In this way, we can identify the update that caused the problem.

As the problem does not persist now, I suggest you to download and manually install the updates individually to determine the exact cause of the problem.

Please let us know if you need help on this question.

  • Problems after Windows Update on Vista wireless

It seems that other people have a similar problem, but I'll post this new...
I've been running Windows Vista Ultimate on my Toshiba laptop for years without any problems.  Earlier this year, I started seeing issues after Windows updates.  The main problem is that after updates Windows, my wireless network is is more noticed and the wireless card (which was installed on the computer, and never had problems before) is not recognized.  I manually installed updated drivers with no luck.  The only thing that has worked is to do a system restore to a point before the updates.  The problem seems to be related to an update in general, I can't uninstall.

I find it extremely ironic that I have no problems with Vista until Windows 7 is launched. First of all, it's the wireless card, then a problem with a driver graphics card (apparently... which seems to be fixed now) and return to the wireless card.  Should I expect to continue to have problems unless I upgrade to Windows 7?  I can't continue to spend half of my day trying to fix my computer after an update that is supposed to fix the errors, but I don't like the feeling that I am forced to upgrade.

    Hi dabaum77,

From your post, it seems that the issue was occurring when Windows updates are installed automatically again even after the restoration of the system and that is why I suggest to restore the system again to a point before the updates and download and install Windows updates manually.

    Access the link below
Follow these steps to disable the automatic updates:

    1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. in the left pane, click on change settings.
    3. under important updates, choose the option you want.
    4. under recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates check box, and then click OK. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Install the updates one by one and check the update is causing the problem to occur. If the problem persists due to a particular update, repeat the process and refrain from settling the problem causing the update to.

You can also check the update problem in Windows Update history.

Follow the steps to check which day caused the issue:

    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.

    2. click on the link to view update history.

    3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
    (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.

    (B) click on close when finished.

You can also uninstall the update that is causing the problem to occur, although it is not recommended.

    1. to uninstall a Windows Update, you must go to programs and features. There are several ways to find it. One of the simplest is to use the search box on the start menu.

    2. in the programs and features, click the link updates installed.

    3. after a few seconds, Windows Vista will load the list of installed updates. Scroll down the page until you find the update you want to delete, select it with the mouse and then click on uninstall.

    4. Windows Vista will ask you to confirm that you want to uninstall the update you selected. Click Yes and the uninstall process will begin.

5 depending on the size of the update, the uninstall process may take from several seconds to several minutes.

    6. wait for the window above will disappear and, if necessary, restart your PC. The update is now deleted.

  • Some keys no longer work on Satellite A200-196 after Windows 7 update

Hi all, I've just upgraded computer laptop of my partner (a Toshiba Satellite A200-196) to Windows 7 after you initially install Windows XP on it (it came with Vista).

After the XP update, I noticed that some keys were not working. I don't remember the process that I used to solve the problem, but the difficulty that I did, and they were all soon works perfectly. So this is a software problem and not material. I think he might have something to do with the FN key - but I can't be sure.

Now, I just upgraded the same machine and I have exactly the same problem. Keys that don't work are Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L.

Can anyone help please? I tried to reinstall Win7 and the problem is still there.

    Thank you very much

    Andy

    > The keys that don't work are Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L.

These keys have nothing to do with the missing software.
Indeed, the function key (FN key) needs a Toshiba utility particular installation / software to make it work, but the keys Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L are common keys on the keyboard that don t need no special software.

That's why I think that the problem is hardware related: simple keyboard malfunction.
I guess that all of these keys work correctly if you sign in and use the external USB keyboard.

  • Satellite Pro L850 - 1-8 - a few problems after the last update to BIOS version

    Hello.

I have some problems after that the latest bios upgrade to version 6.80. First of all, I would like to note that Setup of HW does not work for me. I tried to use this tool to change the settings of the bios without success. This was done also by running this application with administrative privileges without success.

The initial problem appeared after I tried to disable "open Panel - Power on" setting.
This has been activated before the update bios and at some point I wanted to disable, because he gave me a nightmare when you carry because she would then put the computer in a bag.

No matter how many times I tried to turn it off, it seems always enabled in HWsetup.
Another feature that I can't edit's startup speed.
It remains fast even if I tried to change to normal.

    I'm on Windows x 64 8.
    The case is now.

    GROUP OF EXPERTS
HWsetup reports Open PANEL - PANEL as activated, while the Bios shows it off. It is indeed turned on and I could not turn it off. I even tried him for in the Bios and then try to disable in HWsetup, no change.
    STARTUP SPEED
HWsetup startup speed related to 'NORMAL' but actually is 'FAST '. In the Bios, it reports its normal, but its easy to say to his FASTING in.

    My questions are.
    1. it can be the cause?
    2. How can I reset all of the values in the Bios to see if that fixes anything to start?
    3. is it possible to Flash the Bios with a version more old to see if this corrects the problems I have?

I should also mention that 'System settings' has never worked for me. I get a message "Supervisor password check failed". Please note, there is no installed password.

I will be grateful for any given solution. Thanks in advance.

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly (the complete model name)?

Those on the taskbar does not open by clicking on them either. Have to click straight and say to open. Also problem get my Norton antivirus to open. Says it works but can not open it.

    Hello

It might be, the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I've seen people with complications get the upgrade to go "smoothly".

You can try, do a system update that would take you back to Windows 8. See if you have the same problems after updates.

If you choose to update again, make sure that everything is already successfully updated.
