ProBook 4430 s

I've updated by 4 GB (2 GB x 2) RAM Simmtronics HP RAM 8 GB (4 GB x 2). But when I insert the 2 jacks into the slots, the laptops caps lock button blinks 3times indicating RAM problem.

When I remove the RAM in the top slot and try again the Matthew works very well.

I swapped the positions of the two Rams, but problem persists. Remove the top RAM slot and it still works fine...

The one you suggest what could the problem...? and its solution...

Thanks in advance...

After some tests, I discovered that one of the 2 cylinders is defective bcs which this problem is raised...

  • ProBook 4430 s Boot problems

    Hello

    I have a HP ProBook s 4430 running Windows 7.

A couple of weeks, I got a blue screen crashes and it seemed to corrupt a part of windows as windows (among other programs) Explorer wouldn't start automatically. I had to start explorer.exe from the Task Manager after the connection. I have searched the forums and tried all the tips/patches, but to no avail.

I decided to simply reformat the computer and get back to the basics. This is where things went from bad to worse.

My HP did not come with a Windows CD or a backup CD, and I have not one when I bought it (I've traveled across India at the time). All forumns advised to use HP Recovery Manager or press F11 at startup to access the partition of the hard drive recovery. (D: in my case). My computer doesn't seem to have the Recovery Manager and F11 does nothing to start. Setup does not change how he arrived at the factory, it should always be there.

Exacerbated, I changed my D: to 'active' to try to boot from the recovery disk... this stuffed all this. Unfortunately, now my computer does not start (it is said there is no OS on D.)

Then... of ideas? Is my only hope of order recovery disks from HP? do some work? Is it possible to change my boot from D: drive to C: without Windows help? I can't find options like that in the HP Start menu I can access.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hi Samuel,.

Here's another solution, that you can use to reinstall Windows 7.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be of the same exact version of Windows 7 that originally came with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software you need is found from here.

    You are the very welcome.

You also need the graphics driver for the PC.

4430's can come with two types of graphics.

    Standalone Intel

    AMD/Intel switchable graphics card.

It should be fairly easy to understand what your laptop graphics adapter specific did do you the following...

Go to Device Manager and click to expand the category graphics cards.

If the graphics driver is not installed, you will see a labeled device adapter VGA Standard.

If your laptop is the Intel graphics card, you will see a VGA Standard listed adapter.

If your laptop computer is the AMD/Intel switchable graphics, you'll see two adapters VGA Standard listed.

Please tell me what you see here, and I'll post the correct graphics driver.

  • 4430 s ProBook: probook 4430 s Bay undetected on the bios upgrade

    Hi all

I have a problem about 4430 s probook boot configuration. I just bought an ssd drive and I want to make a double system with two disk by adding the ssd via a caddy on the portable player. The problem is that I don't see the "notebook" option upgrade Bay on the startup command option. I already activate the laptop upgrade Bay hard drive as suggested on the next page, but I still don't see the Bay of laptop computer upgrade when I Press f9 and f10 at startup. Any suggestion or information how to fix this?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/HP-business-class-notebooks/586353-HP-EliteBook-2560p-owners-lounge-...

ERICO, exchanging, I'll be able to boot from my SSD, but I don't always get to choose which drive I want to start, right?  That's right

If you install Linux on the disk hard inheritance after Windows 7 has already been installed on the SSD drive and use the GRUB boot loader, it should be doable.

  • ProBook 4430 s: unable to connect to wifi after software update, only can connect through ethernet

Need some help here.  This is the second time something like this happened to me but the last time I could happen to someone who could help you by phone.  This time, no luck.

My computer recently had an upgrade of the software (I think it was an Apple / itunes software update, but I remember now because I chose not to close to complete the upgrade).

Now I can't access wifi on this computer, however my other computers in the House all the work.  If something is here.  Can anyone help?  I have Windows 7.

    Hi @TomKarl ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked into your question your of you Probook which is a commercial product. To get your question more exposure I suggest you post in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do it at Business Forum.

But you can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

    Thank you.

  • ProBook 4430: Windows 7 upgrade-> Windows 10 (HP ProtectTool problem)

    Hey everybody,

I ran into a problem while improving my PC to 10 Windows and he said I need to uninstall HP protect tool which is also connected to 6 other products and I need to remove/uninstall all of them.

What do I do and is it safe to uninstall?

I can it download it again once I've upgraded to Windows 10 because I liked the face recognition software.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome aboard!

Yes, you must decrypt your hard drive and you must uninstall the security software as HP tools protect.

In fact, Protect tools is old version. The most recent version of the same software is called HP Client Manager Security.

HP Client Manager (Protect tools) Security is just 'control center' of other applications.

You must uninstall all, finally protect tools, restart the computer.

Then, start the computer and connecting to Windows.

Do not attempt to remove the software, unless you are sure that you can bypass the login screen and boot on the Windows desktop.

You must open your security HP Client Manager / protect tools.

Authenticate with the Windows password or another option.

    - First, if it is available in your version and if you - go to drive encryption and make sure that you DISABLE disk encryption hard while the disc gets decerypted. This can take a long time (hours or more to complete).

    Reboot / restart the computer

    - Second, if available in your version and if the case on your part, go into identifying information - fingerprints of the article and delete data

You can see how I created by these screenshots (these are for the most recent version, not to protect tools) > https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=73EA0FA259008E8! 107 & authkey =! AEyZq_GEDdnNQnE & ithint = file %2 c

When you're ready, you can try to uninstall all and restart the computer eventually.

Finally, you can upgrade to Windows 10. Here are a few tips and tricks > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04730900

I'm afraid tools protect HP and HP customer security Manager are not compatible with Windows 10, not officially.

    In view of the information >here<, officially="" supported="" are="" win="" 7="" and="" win="">

Windows Hello is free available in Windows 10 facial recognition function > http://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-windows-hello-facial-recognition-windows-10

Drive encryption (Bitlocker) may be also available according to the edition of your Windows.

I would like to know if it works for you. Please, give your feedback.

  • ProBook 4430 s: USB Composite device failures

I thought for more than a year that my webcam was causing the Composite USB
Device to fail. It is the opposite. After a reboot from USB
Composite device controller is OK and refers to / has recovered one of:
    c:\Windows\System32\drivers\usbccgps.sys
    {Size 99840bytes / created 2014 15 January 18:00}
    The webcam of works though.

Trouble begins when suspending or in hibernation. It looks like this
    > going out< of="" suspension/="" hibernation="" is="" when="" the="" usb="">
device controller gets broken. Device Manager then reports:
    "Unknown device" with the details:
    Location: Port_ #0004.Hub_ #0004
Device status: Windows has stopped this device because it has
    reported problems. (Code 43)

I checked the disc for errors: No.

What needs to be done now?

{See also my previous assignment (27 Sep) to the title of the "failure of the USB controller"
    When I showed error entries in the event log.}

The MS Community advise to make a CleanBoot, followed of a regular
    Boot.
Magic! The destruction at random the composite USB device controller
    has stopped.
I guess the CleanBoot did a registry fix.

HP support, I have recently updated HP Probook 4430 s Win8.1 / 64-bit.   I could not find driver HP protect tool and access key in the list of drivers.   Where can I find them if...

    You are the very welcome.

    Sorry, that didn't work.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try the W7 support page of your notebook hotkey driver...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_110821_1

If you do not see one set of drivers for the operating system that you have installed on your PC support page, this means that HP does not support this operating system - which means that some of the features of will not work or work properly on this operating system.

  • Probook HP 4430: battery test is not

When I turn on my Probook 4430, the alert specified baterry, main internal battery code 601. When I ran a test of the battery via the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup enabled me to access. I replaced the laptop computer charger through recall of HP and it only allowed me to exploit the Probook when it was plugged. What is the best?

Looks like you need to replace the battery. A bad battery can in some cases even stop boot up of your laptop. For what it is worth, the error message refers to the removable battery, not the actual internal battery on the motherboard.
