• Program windows not fully displayed - cannot see the buttons

  Problem:

  1. After selecting the program HP PC Recovery CD/DVD Creator, the Welcome window appears but is not displayed entirely.  The portions and right at the bottom of the window are transparent.  I don't see other buttons that I should be able to select.  I also try to use the program end button (red box with white x) located on the top right of the window, and the program will not end.  To close the program, I have to finish the process via the Windows Task Manager.

  2. when the HP automatic update alert window returns to the part at the bottom right of my office, letting me know that updates are available and to ask if I would like to install the updates, the alert window is not completely visible.  I don't see other buttons that I should be able to select.

  3. in both cases (1 and 2), if I place my pointer over the window and select Enter then the program will proceed to the next step.  If a pedagogical (pop-up) window on the top of the main window of the program, I am able to see this pop-up window in its entirety, and then select options as needed.

  Question: What is the cause?  How can they be corrected?

  This probably a hard drive problem.

  This could be hardware or partitioning, if you can still get with Ubuntu, you can try to save your windows file before check you whether it is caused by partitioning HARD drive. If this isn't the case, then you may need to replace your HARD drive.

  The information you listed are oriented to the network card and he doesn't see any boot device.  The first thing I would do is to check the BIOS settings and make sure that your drive is seen correctly and that the boot order is set to boot from your 1st CD then your drive hard 2nd drive.  You will need to check with the PC manufacturer for assistance with the BIOS settings.

  If you are able to enter safe mode but not any other way or you can't in safe mode then I would do the following.

  If you can boot into Safe Mode with command prompt, or if you have a XP CD and you can boot into the Recovery Console, and then run the following commands.

  Yoga Pro 2-256 gb, installed a new wireless card a month ago. Windows 8.1

  The touchscreen still work while the screen is black.

  (1) screen working in Mode safe but not regular boot. (So not the hardware problem)

  (2) display on an external monitor in normal mode. (So, no drivers issue)

  Have you installed the wireless card yourself? You unplug the cable from the screen during the installation of the card?

  Could you re - open and check that all connections are good?

  The Wi - Fi card works well?

  I also recommend a complete reset of the laptop to eliminate the possibility that it is a corrupt driver. You can use the NOVO button to reset your laptop. Make sure you make a backup on an external drive for your personal files.

  • It will bring up the start menu. Then press the F10 key to go into the bios. The bios will also give the serial number information and product.
  • A third way to locate the product # would be to power down the device. Unplug the charger and remove the battery.  Then use a flashlight to look inside the compartment to locate the product #.

  Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from your description, I understand that the HP Probook 450 G1 does not detect the recovery DVDs. However, the other CDs/DVDs work fine and the recovery (at least detected) on another PC media.
