Question Inspiron 3537 Power Up and/or battery

My 3537 is about 2-3 years of age.  Last week, when that I start, the screen shows a low battery problem.  The charger is working (I tried another), but the battery charge LED does not illuminate.  I got by removing the battery and charger, wait a few seconds and replacing both.  Then the battery LED lights up and the laptop starts normally.

Could it be the battery?

Thank you

I've often used my laptop with power supply and the battery plugged in at the same time... Is this correct?... I confused the battery after charging or leave it in my laptop to go... I want to protect my battery so please tell me the right

    Dear med87,

    Welcome to Lenovo Community

Under the program of the energy that should come with the computer as a pre-installed program management, you must press (settings battery) then under the battery you should have called the battery Protection Mode, select it and press OK.

This Mode charger the battery Up to 60% and stops charging the battery, then it take its power from the charger, it's the best thing you can do to protect your battery.

Please try the computer, if you have had other problems, let me know.

  • Power light / hard drive/battery Inspiron 5759 does not?

Bought this computer from my wife for Christmas.  Apparently, Dell has combined the power of disk hard/light activity indicator / and the battery status light in a unique light on the front edge of the computer.  My concern is that the only light briefly when I plug into the power supply first, then it turns off and on again never.  Even when the hard drive is written or the bedside lamp lights to show activity.  Is this normal?  I am concerned that this is a way that I used to determine if things happen on my computer as it should.  If the light is not designed to show the disk activity hard when it occurs, what is it?

If you have not found the answer to your question, so this should help you.

Press and hold 'Fn' which lies between the Ctrl and Windows Key, then press the 'H' button  This action will be necessary every time that you restart the computer.

  • Satellite A75 power sector and battery

Someone else knows harware problem with feeding? My computer guard switching battery when I use it. I had fixed by Toshiba, but it happens again. The computer is new.

    Hi Teri,

I have a problem similar to yours. It is caused by a bad connection power connector at the back of the laptop, which causes a loss of contact internittent. In turn, this causes the microsystem (part of the motherboard) power to detect the loss of AC power he duly launched battery powered. Unfortunately, the intermittent contact is so brief that the AC comes before the power system is ready to detect it so it never switches back on current alternative. Eventually the drains of the battery and the laptop will be turned off.

The only wau I found to correct this situation is to turn off the PC and then it reboot.

I now tighten cable ca to the my laptop back to prevent the power connector to move if I move the laptop.

  • SatelliteU300 will not start with power connected and fully charged battery

I just bought a U300-13U. It works fine when charging the battery and AC is connected. However, if left to recharge completely it does not start with connected AC. Unpluging the power or remove the battery and running on AC make it work very well. Is a 'feature' to stop an overload or overheating of the battery, or just a problem with this machine. I want to run with AC and battery than both connected all the time like I did with all my other laptops.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hello Andy

Of my friends has this small U300 and everything works well. I got it a few weeks ago to test the family Windows XP Setup and it works perfectly.

Please test again very carefully and if the same thing happen again once I recommend you contact the Service partner in your country. They check your laptop. I have to be honest and say that describes the problem of strange sounds to me and please, don't wait too long. Contact the service as soon as possible.

    Bye and good luck!

  • Satellite L455 - plug-and - battery LEDs power LED and it flashes orange

I have a Satellite L455, which worked perfectly for more than six months now, but two weeks ago he began to behave strangely.

I turned off the machine normally in the evening I was going to sleep. In the morning when I turned on it it turned on, HARD drive and on power LED blinked blue for a few seconds then they are gone. Machine does not start. I tried to turn it on again and it does the same thing. Then I saw the "power plug on" and "battery on" LED flashes orange at the same time. I unplugged the power adapter. Both lights were continuous blinking but machine will not feed. I removed the battery for a piece of 5 minutes, then reinserted it and the machine has worked all day.

I went he deleted off the power plug and the morning again it wouldn't start until the when I removed the battery for a few minutes then it works again. The battery recharges very well that when I remove and reinsert it even without connecting the power cable still lights up and works perfectly.

Then, I removed the battery and the power supply Plug and you press the power button for 30 seconds to unload the machine and then return power and battery and it worked until I turned off again and shutting off the power and then it didn't once again.

If I stop just of machine and do not turn off the power cord, then I can turn it back on to and work with the machine without hassle even for three days without interruption.

What could be wrong? Any help will be really appreciated.

    Hi chidzungo,

It must certainly be a hardware malfunction but he s strange why it pops up every day after you have closed the laptop. Do you use batteries and AC/DC to original Toshiba adapter? Have you connected external devices to your laptop? If so delete them before you turn on your laptop.

What version of BIOS is installed at the moment? You should look on the Web from Toshiba website for an update. Update of the BIOS might also help and it s worth a try.

Before you start reading the BIOS BIOS update instructions update [HERE: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=60]

Satellite L455 seems to be an American model, so the BIOS update can be downloaded from the Toshiba U.S. page but first check the exact part number:

In recent weeks, when using the laptop (Satellite L755 psk2ye) he died suddenly and the power and the battery leds start flashing simultaneously.

It also takes place when charging the battery when the unit is off... then l must cut off the power and he'll be back... Although the problem sometimes occurs again after a few minutes hours or does not...

Remove the battery and check if the same problem occur when you use laptops with power running.

  • Satellite P300 - questions of recognition of load and battery

I have two laptops P300, a PSPCCA-0C502H and a PSPCCA-05Y01Y. One had a hard life and the battery is dead. It was still used for a long time after that, while being connected at all times. The 05Y01Y was mine and the battery eventually would last only 15 minutes. I bought 2 new batteries not authentic to them, but none of the batteries will not charge the original batteries included Tosiba.

It makes no difference that the Toshiba 2 or 2 batteries no authentic that I use or 2 laptops I use, I get the same result. When a battery is made and then the power supply is plugged with the laptop turned off, the battery light is solid orange. After about an hour of charging the battery light starts to blink. If I turn on the laptop where the battery led is a solid orange Vista said "plugged in, not charging" or "not connected" and the battery light starts to blink.

If I unplug the power of laptops will continue running on batteries (batteries not Toshiba for nearly an hour and work only Toshiba battery for 15 minutes) until the dish dead. When the laptop is off, I can plug in the power and charge the battery until the light starts flashing when I have to unplug the power supply and then reconnect it to restart the load. I was not able to get fully charge them the batteries.

I've updated the BIOS that I had read that it can fix the problem, I uninstalled Microsoft control method battery and scanned for changes, I tried cleaning the contacts on the laptop, I tried to turn their removing the battery and unplugging them for a period of time, but none of them seem to work.

It seems odd that the two laptops are doing the same, unless it's a common problem which I hope someone has the solution.

    Hi Berallan,

I hit the same problem as you are. I have two new batteries more original toshiba battery and it still does not support.

I use Windows 7 64-bit. Initially, I thought it was the old battery, and Windows 7, but now it seems that the laptop itself.

    Very weird!

    Hello
    (1) when you receive this error message?
    (2) what is the brand and model of your computer?
    (3) did you change on your computer before this problem?
It seems that the adapter has gone wrong, I suggest you to connect another card and see if the problem still occurs.

    Hello

Motherboard might not be properly installed or has problems - easy to miss a rider or
    any other connection as well.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

  • Inspiron 3537 discrete video card

Hello! I just bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 3537. Got a problem or a question, I don't know what it is exactly :) Thus, the laptop comes with pre-installed Win8.1. Of course, I deleted and installed Win 7 x 64 ultimate instead. I found and installed all necessary drivers, everything looks OK, but there is a mismatch in the material - all descriptions of the laptop I found on the Internet, including the Dell site, claim that it is equipped with integrated Intel graphics and discreet AMD 8670HD or 8850HD discreet card. But after the installation of the latest Catalyst driver package States in Device Manager that discreet video is card AMD R9 M265X. I wonder if it is due to a buggy driver or it is possible that I have mentioned in the last card? Thanks for the help in advance.

AMD was renumbering its GPU like A7 or A9 of the end - the 8850HD is the R9 M265x.
